| It is my favourite thread by far... so many wonderful NSV's... and in my opinion, they are more important than what the scales are saying!!! |

Last night at work a colleague told me I was fading away! I can assure you, at not much less than 100kgs, there is still plenty of me left. Nice to think that others can see a change.
Fading away . . . . . . fading away . . . . . . . fading away . . . . . . . Nup - not even repeating it several times will ever convince me that I'm FADING away. hehehe |

| Had a little highlight yesterday. Yesterday while waiting for lights to change in the city - a pamphlet handerouter passed me a catelogue for an inner city trendy boutique. I was seen as normal woo!!hoo!! |

Beez, thanks for your lovely words. In answer to your question YES definately people treat you differently. There's no way I could have pulled a big job off like this one when I was 130kgs. I guess apart from how I looked, my confidence just wasn't there. Alot of the times, people cannot see the real person under all that weight and are very judgemental without even realising it.

Thanks everyone for the congrats! I
Nic..isn't that wonderful when you find a gap like that!? Only gaps I don't like are the gaps in my teeth lol.
Losingit. I know so well that feeling of a robe not going around you. Back in the day when I'd go for a massage or a beauty treatment I always had to take a sarong with me because the robes were always embarrassingly wayyYY too small. They were metres off meeting and hiding my 'bits' lol. Congrats on that one. Its fantastic when you can pick up an ordinary bath towel and it overlaps too. Just like a NORMAL person!
I love this thread. I always relate to everyones posts. Fantastic achievements all!!

Not a terribly exciting NSV, but . . . . . . washed my regular dressing gown late yesterday, and with cool weather it's not yet dry. Got up this morning and wondered what I could put over me, and remembered a 'one size fits all' (yeah, right!) bathrobe that was bundled up safely in the wardrobe. Dragged it out and . . . . not only does it fit, but it overlaps a lot!
I remember hiding it away many years ago when it had got to the not-even-meeting stage. Happy to say I almost look like a regular person in it. :-) |

Jan - BIG BIG congratulations to you! Well done. You must be stoked. That's a great achievement. :-)
Nic - fantastic news for you too! It really makes it seem worthwhile when that sort of thing happens.
I'm not sure I've actually seen daylight - LOL - but I know there is now a gap, albeit a small one for me too. Beats all those years of rubbing and chafing! |

I know lizzaboo!! Nikinoo is so excited. Light! Who me??!!! Nah!hehehehehehe..... You know this is a crazy thing, i fit all my OS clothes , i see light where light has never been before and yet not a gram off them scales, excersizeing every day, following the 80/20 rule but not a gram!!! Does yer head in i tells ya! I have decided though to just enjoy what is good and ignore what is bad :).
And thanks wee jenized for the encouragement. I don't get to write on this thread that often lately so i'm thrilled to be able to contribute to the list of good news. :)

| Debra 116, Where did you do your hypoxi cellulite therapy at? And have you moved to Griffith yet? Is it a permanent fix, or something you would have to do regularly? |

No Jan, she is actually Australian, lol!
She works for a mob i won't name in Surry Hills(?) who do a lot of the pattern making for the big designers. They had a lot of her stuff in the Fashion Week shows last month. I was really proud of her, she has worked tirelessley to get where she is at her tender age :) Opposite end of the spectrum to us oldies, hehe, can't get a break if your 20 and can't get a break if your an oldie or a person of superior girth, lol!
I hope you nab a great assistant and come up with an eyecatching design for the label!
Lizzardbell = Isabella BTW, hehe, Whoever it was that liked that:) The indignities of the things your family calls you when you're a kid, LMAO! |

Thanks everyone for your well-wishes!
Don't worry Lizzard I'll make sure those waistbands fit on dem dare trouse!
Trish & Linda, *sniff* I've been doing plenty of that over the weekend. People are so happy for me but most don't realise just how much it means. Not having a weight issue in the way of my confidence and self esteem has given me an incredible sense of freedom and power.
Also to land a real design job in this economic climate and AT MY AGE is close on being a NSM...ie a Non Scale Miracle!!
I've been up since 4am this morning, trying to think of a clever name for the label and writing an ad for my new assistant. Lizzard, does your son's GF speak Mandarin?
Jan - xxxx and ooooo for everyone!! |

Thats fantastic Jan...now....do us all a favour and reshape all the waistbands on pants so that they don't gape open and show your butt crack to the world when you squat down, LOL! We're counting on you girl!
Seriously tho, thats a tough industry. My sons girlfriend is a pattern maker (pattern designer?), so i hear about it all the time. Congratulations on achieving such a high position.
The sky is the limit when you don't have a lifetimes worth of weight issues dragging you down :) |

I've had a huge NSV. (for me).
I've finally landed a job as head designer for a new womenswear label. It's taken me years to get the confidence to go for these big jobs. After losing such a large amount of weight, I feel nothing can stop me now.
A big thankyou to my bandy.

Just wanted to let everyone know about the great success i've had doing hypoxi cellutlite therapy. It involves cycling for 30 min while you lower half is within a vacuum chamber. It is supposed to help smooth and tone legs, butt and thighs. I was sceptical but signed up for the 12 visit package.
All I can say is it worked!! In all I lost 33cm from the area between stomach to my knees. The biggest loss was 9 cm around my bottom, 6cm from my stomach, and 3 cm from each knee. I had this bulge of fat on the inside of my knees and that is reduced! My cellulite is still there but my new size 10 jeans feel so good.
I think of it as a bit of fine tuning and polishing of certain areas of my budy.
Worth the money. Considering going back for more!! |
