Well done Erina and Mel. I don't think there is anything better than going down to a 'normal' size :) |

Yesterday at school staff were aloud to wear Maroon and Blue for the state of origin, I went looking through my sons wardrobe and found a footy shirt his cousin had given him, looked at it and thought umm maybe it might just fit, so tried it on and it fitted fine on the top and a little firmer around the tummy, but thought what the heck it's only one day, so I went to iron it and thought I'd look at the size, automatically thinking it would be a large at the smallest but prob. an xl, well blow me down it was a M, holy c r ap put your glasses on girl your seeing things lol. So I was quite chuffed yesterday.
Today thought I'd have a look in Kmart and they had some nice new long sleeve tshirts, thought should I try on the 16, yeah why not it can only be tight. But holy heck it fits, and its not tight in any way, I am soooooo loving my band yipeee!!!! Can't wait till I can shop in the skinny girls shops, instead of just looking in the window as you walk by.
Actually looking forward to taking my 2mth progress photos in 2 weeks time, will be really interesting to see the changes in my body shape.
Hoping everyone else to doing great also.
Luv,
Gerry |

I today purchased a pair of Target velvet jeans - size 14! Can't bloody believe it. I took a pair of 16 into the change room and had to get the smaller size! Yay!!!

Thanks Louise... I ended up wearing a slip dress that was what I wore under an organza thingy for my hubby's 50th. I then had a black organza long jacket, and I wore that over the top to hide the lumpy bits. It is a bit big on me, but that was fine.
Thanks for the offer.... However, I am in Sydney lol!

Black jersey dresses are great. They can be as dressy as you like but as you lose weight, you'll find they just become looser but still drape and fall nicely.
I had bought a Basque dress for a wedding 2 weeks before I started my pre op diet last November. Even though I've dropped from size 18/20 to 12/14, this dress still is wearable. It's A line, sleeveless. There's just less boobs, hips and bum to stretch it out! |

I am going to a formal function this evening and I have nothing to wear. Anything that I would normal pull on for this sort of thing no longer fits me. Apart from it being frustrating that I am now wondering what the heck I am going to wear, it is quite a good thing.
Wish me luck diggin in the wardrobe for something... anything that will do the trick. Bugger... should have thought about this earlier in the week methinks! |

I love this thread too: I always check this one first. Nothing makes you feel better.
Yesterday, I realised I can truly say I have nothing to wear now. I went through my wardrobe and got rid of everything that was too loose. Some things just were too baggy and looked awful.
Yesterday was so cold: 16 degrees, I didn't have any warm jumpers to put on. Look out shops here I come.
Went for a walk around Newtown, Sydney, the other night and saw a couple of groovy clothes shops. I realises I can actually shop in those places now!! |

Well done everyone - this is such a good news thread!
I nearly kissed and hugged a saleswoman at Sussan today and had to hold myself back from shouting at her that she was part of this NSV lol. I was buying some tights/pantyhose and picked out a couple of pairs of "Large". She said "Ohhh love... they'd be wayyy too big for you, take the mediums"!
Gawd, I have never ever EVERRRR had tights or stockings that weren't the largest available size and even then it was hit'n miss if they'd pull up over my bot bot lol.
Loving this....

What I don't get is why no one tells you that strange parts of you will shrink.
Like your feet!
I wore some shoes last winter and when I went to get fitted properly for my sneakers the guy fitting them took one look at the marks on my feet and said that they were too tight. (Yeah, the fact I had to wedge my foot into them and couldn't get them off it my feet swelled was a bit of a give away!)
Anyway, I got those shoes out again this week to wear with my jeans and they were too lose! My feet were sliding in and out of them and I tried to run after my son and left one behind! No one told me my feet would shrink.
Oh well. Wil have to go and buy some new shoes as well as some size 16 jeans (my 18's keep falling down and taking undies with them. Only a matter of time before it ends very badly!) |

| When I snuggle up under my doona this winter I don't have a cold bum sticking out of the side! It covers me up completely with some left over. It's funny the things you notice isn't it? |
