The other day I was able to fit into a size 16 top which I bought about 2 years ago but have never been able to fit into. Felt good!

Re:NSV's Reply to this message
Last year I was looking for a top to wear for Christmas day, tried on a great black and white silk shirt which was a little too tight so I asked if they could find me the next size up. My kids picked it up for me Christmas Eve and it didnt fit...shattered! Its been sitting in my cupboard tormenting me ever since and last night I wore it to a party 10 days out from my surgery!
I did NOT expect a NSV this soon :)

Re:NSV's Reply to this message
I had to ride in the back of my car yesterday. Last time I did that, I had to breath in as far as I could, hold my tummy in and not move in order to get the seatbelt round me.

Yesterday I didn't even think about it and just put the belt on with tons of spare belt. I could breath and lean forward and move around with it on! Yipee!!!

Hey everyone......

Went to a surprise party last night & there were some old work collegues that I hadn't seen for 2 years.

So needless to say - after 60 kilos gone - a few didn't recognise me!!! Love that!

Cheers

Re:NSV's Reply to this message
I have had about 4 weeks off work (we moved interstate) I put on my old work skirt that i only bought about 6 weeks ago and it is loose.
I haven't weighed myself in ages because I have eaten lots of junk food while we were travelling, haven't been exercising. I have lost another 1.5 kg.
I didn't have many clothes to unpack: I threw out so many because they were too loose and haven't bought much new stuff.
I was pretty thrilled.

Re:NSV's Reply to this message
Hi All

This is a great thread.....love hearing all the good stories regarding our weight losses.

Well I got banded in March and I have lost 16kg and feel great, been going to the gym heaps and getting a lot fitter also.
Went to the Newsagent this morning to put my lotto on, and the lady who served me asked are you still going to the gym, because you look great, you can tell you have lost weight especially in your face.

I was very pleased with that....people are starting to notice....whoooo hooooo lol

I just had to share this.
My hubby works away 2x1 and was home this week. I was at the shop and he went to the hardware shop for me. When he came back I was standing in the door of my shop and he said.
"gee you look really skinny from across there"

whoohoo first comment he's really made about my weightloss

Well done Kazza!! I also bought a pair of Target and a pair of Miller's 14s. Tight around my abdomen but otherwise they fit.

Exciting times! We deserve it!

All the best,

Brooks

Not vain at all, that's what this thread is all about. All those little things that mean a lot to us that "normal" people just don't understand.

Well done!

Hi all I know this sounds rather vain, but yesterday while glancing in the mirror I noticed I now have an actual jaw line lol, not a round face anymore.

Re:NSV's Reply to this message
I thought of all you ladies when this happened in the shop on Tuesday.

I was clothes shopping after getting my fill. My surgeon tells me to wait an hour before driving the 380kms home. I tell him, yes I will wait but in the shops near your office (and sip my water).

So I found a coat I liked. Tried it on. There was a stain on it. I asked the woman if there would be a discount on it. She replied no, and added "but it's a size 16 and way too big for you, luvie!".

WOOHOO! Despite the fact that yes it did fit fine, the idea that she believed I am much smaller than a 16 is excellent. Perception is MOST of the battle! lol

PS. I did buy a pair of size 14 jeans and will wear them to work tomorrow.

Re:NSV's Reply to this message
Well done Sue! Must have been a great feeling.

Some great NSV's here.

Mine hardly fits the bill, but I don't want to start a new thread. More along the lines of "I'm proud of myself". Yeah, ok - before you start thinking I'm a conceited b!tch - here goes.

It's been damn cold in Melbourne the last couple days, and I can tell you I'm not that fond of getting out in it. But . . . . . I managed to still do my long walk both days, rain and all, and feel quite proud of myself for having 'weathered the storm' so to speak. Gloves, showerproof jacket with hood, and if you move fast enough you can even work up a sweat!

Re:NSV's Reply to this message
Went go-karting at the Phillip Island race track yesterday. Cool.... (well it hurt a bit when the hail hit my frozen hands, but otherwise good). There is something I would never had a go at pre-band. Would have just sat and watched - probably would not have fitted into the little seats.

Now making a real effort to get in and have a go, and getting to try many things I would have sat out of before.

Great to be finally getting to live life rather than just spectating.

cheers
Sue
