| Hi there Funkstar, I too was banded in 2007 and I have on the odd occassion had exactly the same issue. In evaluating my situation, I worked out it was because I had 1) eaten too much that day or 2) eaten to late in the evening and it hadnt gone down. My reason for coming to this conclusion for me is that I havent had any issues for over 6 months. I also have reached my goal weight and sustained that for this period of time, so dont feel that it is the band or the fill. I agree with Mermaid though, if you feel worried just contact your surgeon or team and ask the question. They are the experts and I am sure they will have an explanation or solution for you. | Hi Pyretta You were so helpful to me when I was first banded with 'meal' ideas - I still love mushed tinned Harvest meals :) I was looking for low carb low GI meals and it took me to www .tonyferguson. com - there are some interesting recipes on there - thought it might be worth a look - I'm going to try the nonotato at least Kind regards Sallie |

| Hi Pyretta Welcome to the Adelaide thread This book has been put together by Helen and the Circle of Care doctors - Prof Toouli did my banding. They have the book on sale at their rooms - looks pretty good and has some unusual recipes too - all good for you of course but they look a bit different to the average run of the mill recipes. | Dear All, sorry donna i am unsure how you just start a post, i hope all of you are all well, sorry i didn't get to your dinner on wednesday night i missed catching up with you all. i have been unwell and in hospital not surgery related. thankyou all that have paid for their wellness seminar, i have not caught up with michelle as yet and all monies paid will be receipted. don't forget the wellness seminar is coming up have you booked in and paid for your place as yet. ï WELLNESS SEMINARS ï COMBINING BODY, MIND, SOUL AND SPIRIT TOPICS 1. 12 common reasons for compulsive overeating and ways to overcome them. 2. Stress management and self care. - Ways of reducing stress. 3. Problem solving. - A detailed method of solving problems that looks like they have no solutions. This can be used when problems appear insurmountable and itâs just too hard to cope with life. 4. Negative self-talk and cognitive behaviour therapy. - A structured way to sort this out on an everyday basis to increase self-esteem and different behaviours that will help in most areas. 5. Core beliefs and self sabotage. - Beliefs we carry around about ourselves and how to challenge them. - Overcoming setbacks and self sabotage. - Techniques to identify and remove the root causes of the problem. 6. | Hey there funkstar, I would think this is a kind of reflux from either your band being too tight or as you have stated eaten too late. I had this really bad for about 5 weeks, and god did I feel shocking, it is called night cough, i think, I would wake up and find stains of green and brown on the sheets. And dont laugh they were at the top of the bed not the bottom. I had a small amount of fill removed and it settled down. but as you have had this so long I am not sure it would just be this. Have you been back to your surgeon for a check up, cause they would check for things such as a slipped band etc. I would get this checked out cause it is not good for you, your teeth, and your gut. I remember feeling so sick all the time, not nice. Prob not very helpful but I thought someone should answer your post, you should put your question on the general thread, it gets alot more traffic, take care and get it checked out Mermaid |

| Hi, I had lap band surgery in april 2007 and im wondering if anyone else is experiencing vomiting in their sleep. Ive tried not eating after a certain time,and its not like i eat alot, but i seem to be waking up during the night to find that ive vomited all over the sheets, this is happening throughout the night... can someone please help!?? |

| Hi Donna, thank you for sharing your moment. I fell over the vaccuum cleaner cord at work and had a dickens of a time trying to get up. That was at Christmas time and although I had been thinking about a Lapband that was the straw that broke the camels back. I have Type 2 Diabetes and the tablets I am on I hate, so it was great to hear that you have a positive outcome with that from losing weight. I hope that will happen to me!! Debbie |

| I think I repeated myself sorry. Well I went to my diabetic specialist and had the best results yet. Blood levels great, blood pressure, cholestral 3 with more good cholestral. He was very happy with the success of my surgery. He has asked me to talk to more diabetics, which I talk to everyone about this lifesaving operation. The sleeve has given me a much better life than I ever could have imagined. I fell over a sofa today and landed at the back of it after summersaulting (i wish I had it on video) and landed on my feet and fell onto my knees and jumped straight up. My customer was very impressed at the grace I did this with,(I work in a furniture store). I know 1.5years ago I would have been a hurt mess on the floor and couldn't get myself up. The new me coped very well, (ok a few bottom muscles are sore) Thought I would share my moment. Donna |
