We must be sisters from other mothers Lisa!!!
I regularly inhale food (chocolate paddlepops are my thing and yahoo lets me write that so obviously not as bad as m u f f ins - I wish!)
On the other hand if you enjoy going to the gym maybe no relation --- LOL
I too have 63Kg to lose (it was only 60 until I decided to do this so I might forget those 3 when I get rid of them!!)
I hope that the message board will be one small pleasure along the way!! I love reading the others and can't wait to get a date so I can feel like a real contributor -- pretty sure it will be Nov though.

Hi Katy and everyone!
I have always enjoyed going to the gym so exercise is not a problem for me... but I just received my hospital admissions forms in the mail and immediately I had to inhale 2 double-choc m u f f i n s (it wouldn't let me write that word for some reason)!! I am such an emotional eater which is why the band will have to be combined with therapy in my case! I have got 67kgs to lose.... BRING IT!! |

HI Shelley
I've been doing that for 10 years
A friend made me think about the diets I have done/attempted over my life and it was scary. You name it I have done it and am probably a life member. What I am not being is honest with myself tho -- if I did one of the better programs and stuck to it I would have lost weight. I am always so positive for somewhere between 1 week and 2 months --- doing charts, having a skinny outfit chosen etc etc -- but I was never able to keep going. I would sabotage myself as I was so happy with the small losses I almost ended up celebrating with food!!!
This time I may be doing the shakes to begin with, but I know at that 4-6 week point something will start to help me -- and that is the band.
Hang in there |

HI I have been drinking the diet shakes for months and walking but no success, but I am keeping them for after my op so I am already used to having them anyway.

| Hi I am hoping to have my surgery in next few months, I am tired of the weight loss merri go round, and so desperate to fix it for good. I know it will be hard work, but worth it in the long run, I want to out live my parents not the other way round. Shelley |

Hi Mack and Lisa
Thanks for the advice Mack -- I have been on a "bender" for the last 2 weeks since I made the decision and have managed to put on 3Kg. I knew I was out of control as I was inhaling any food that didn't move out of my way -- but managed to avoid the scales until this morning. I am so angry at myself -- so as it is 2 weeks before we see the surgeon I have put myself on meal replacements starting today!!!
Our surgeon is away but his receptionist and our GPs have started us getting bloods/barium meal etc -- and we will probably be in surgery in early November (if everything goes well)
Lisa -- welcome to the November banders -- there are 3 of us now -- quite a team -- LOL
My friend Fattifattibumbum (great name) is doing this with me up here on the Sunshine Coast, and she will also be joining this forum. (so 4)
So we are now----in date order
Panda -- 12/11 -- Sydney
Lisa -- 18/11 --???
Katy --?? -- Sunshine Coast
Fattifattibumbum --?? -- Sunshine Coast
Here we go------ Katy x |

The November banders are begining to appear. Use the time to get ready, empty the cupboards and the fridge, read everthing you can, ask questions. Mental preparation is important. Begin to exercise more and prepare for sucess.
Good Luck! Mack |
