| Kate, Yes it it, however I am still an 18 up top :) But it feels good to wear something that fits well without the elastic waist. Love the band, even though I have most of the hard work ahead of me. |

| Hi Everyone, Well I had a good day today and bought new Jeans... My daughter let me try on her jeans which are size 16 from Jeans West and a bit baggy for her, and they fitted me perfectly :) Well I am not sure who was more surprised, my daughter or me :) So I decided it was time to put away my baggy ones size 20 (or 22, not sure), and get myself a new pair. Went into Jeans West and the guy who served me looked me up and down and I could just about hear him thinking "this old lady has come into the wrong shop"... but he was very polite and asked what I was after. He asked what size and I said 16 without blinking (and hoping they would fit, my daughter's jeans being old and worn might have been a bit streched over time). He gave me a pair to try on, perfect fit. They had a sale on, two for 99, so I got my husband to get himself a new pair also, he has lost a lot of weight too, even though he does not really need to, and his jeans are at least two sizes too big now. So now both of us are lookin' good in our new jeans :) ALso, I finally got an outfit for my daughter's wedding, so I can now relax. The only worry now is that I will lose too much before the wedding in just under 4 weeks. |

| Morning, Yes I can feel some more restriction - will slowly test it out today. I noticed trying to swallow my fish oil and glucosamine tablets this morning - I could feel them going through. May need to find some liquid fish oil as they are huge tablets... Yes getting the protein in is difficult I think - thte dieitician said we should add more lentils, nuts etc to diet to boost the protein.... Off to gym for m y first review now. Have a good day Arn |

| Well done, Arn, you are doing very well :) How does it feel now eating wise? do you feel much restriction? Just take it very slowly until you know how tight your band is and what you can and cannot do. I have not kept a food diary, that is a good idea, so will take that one up. I have been worried about not getting enough protein, and must ask the dietitian next time I go. The amounts of food eaten per day is so much smaller, so it is difficult to get in the required amount. |

| Hi All, Had my 2nd fill this arvo and appointment with the dietician. Dr Taylor put 2mls in, that totals 6mls at the moment. He was really pleased with how I was going - 4.5kgs gone in the last 4 weeks between fills. He was happy and I was happy so that 's all good. In total it's about 17 ish kilos since I started this journey and 10 ish in 10 weeks banded - so apparently that is spot on weight loss for my weight/size. Good session with the Dietician, we talked about low GI foods and she looked at the food diary I have been keeping - was happy with what I am eating, the balance etc. She stressed not being so strict on yourself so the band becomes a chore or a burden. She encouraged me to have treats on the odd occasion as well. Anyway, all good - I love my band and I think I am going to give my new best friend a name !!!! Maybe Bob!!! It's late better go and stop talking twadle - hope everyone else is doing well. Cheers Arn :) PS: Dr T also said that me going to the gym was fabbo and the best thing I could do for the skin (along with drinking water) - so back to the cross trainer tomorrow!!! Cheers Arn |

| Hi Shaz, You are not butting in, all opinions, thoughts, ideas etc are great to hear. Congrats on your loss so far that is awesome. I think the soft drink thing is the party line, agreed stance at my clinic. There is so much info out there, all we can do is listen, hear and do what works for us as individuals. | Morning All, Cozzie I was told exactly the same thing about Soft drink from the whole team at my clinic. Considering I was a huge Diet Coke addict I was sort of hoping someone somewhere could say it was Ok to drink it!!!! However, now that I haven't had one for nearly 10 weeks, I am not missing it the way I thought I would. WIll wait and see what happens when the really hot weather kicks in.... | Hi Robindoh :) In regards to my post on low-cal fizzy drinks...obviously follow the advice of your team -but I am just saying that before my surgery my whole team including my anesthatist of all people kept teeling me the importance of giving up ALL fizzy drinks NOW...including low-cal. They had said that due to some kind of research that they had done, those who didn't drink any form of soft drink generally lost more weight than those that drank it. So just passing on what I was told. Obviously everyone has to make their own choice. Well done on your weight loss :) Cozzie |

| Hi Arn Not much difference, don't feel any restriction, but there is definitely a difference in how much I can eat. Just hope it lasts until I go for number 4, in two weeks time. Went looking for an outfit today, tried one on, the lady gave me a size 20, but had to get the 18 out, and that was ok. Was not keen on the type of material, shows all the saggy bits :) so will look for something else. /Qui |
