| Impea, I had lots of coughing too after my op.... I just put mine down to the tube down the throat.... dont know if that was the reason tho...my coughing only lasted for a couple of days.... but doesnt it does hurt to cough!!...Hope it goes away for u soon! |

| I'm back from banding! Went in at 5pm, operation at 8pm and discharged at 10am this morning. Just woken up from a nap and had my first drink at home. All good so far.(touch wood). Western Private Hospital are past masters at this procedure and have the whole thing from admission to discharge and all points in between down to a fine art. One more day of opti and it would have got violent! |

| Hi everyone and lmpea, I also am 2 days post op. Surgery went really well despite my concerns with the sleep apnoea etc. Am doing great. I also have mild shoulder tip pain but nothing major. My main thing if anything is the "fullness" that I feel all the time. It is great and dont feel like eating...AWESOME!!I also feel like burping alot. Good to hear you done well lmpea...I was thinking of you too. |

| Hi everyone I am day 2 post op and I am feel a little better each day. I have some mild shoulder tip pain lots and lots of wind and nausea but its all under control with the med. I am coughing alot though is that something to do with the general on my lungs? Hope everyones doing well xx Leanne |

| Hi Everyone, Feeling better this morning, so if I keep improving like this, then maybe Friday will still be on. I hope so, it would be so disappointing to have to keep waiting (and staying on Optifast... getting really sick of Optifast now). My lungs feel clearer, I have been using my asthma meds more, which seems to have helped, or maybe it is the antibiotics that have kicked in, whatever it is, there is definitely an improvement. So Fingers crossed it will be ok. The July list is nearly completed now, Ariane today, Debbie, Di and myself to go. Good luck all. |

| Great to hear everyone has lost weight. I'm now 21 days post-op and had my first fill today but in light of everyone else's success, I'm only going to whisper the following development: *whispers* I have now put on weight! *sighs* |

| Hi all I haven't been about for what seems like ages so thought it was about time I dropped by to see how everyone was doing. After catching up on all the messages it sounds like everyone is doing really well. Keep up the good work everyone and remember it is only a tool to help us on our new journey and that we still have to put the hard yard into it. Good luck to those still to be banded, if you are anything like me once you are done you will wish you had it done years ago. So far I have lost 10.6kg and hubby has lost 10.2kg and we are both wrapped with the results. We both have our first fill this coming Thursday and are looking forward to that (not!....I hate needles). Cheers Helen :) |

| Hey everyone!! Qui, thats so disappointing about your OP! Looking at another 2 weeks of Opti would be hard!! Crossing my fingers for you I just returned from my first Fill!! Wasnt nearly as bad as i thought it would be- its definetly a needle but it wasnt anything worse. However that being said I went and brought some local anesthetic cream called Emla from chemist because I was really nervous!! I dont know that i feel any different tho ?? I just ate 2 cruskits- I asked Dr if i should only have liquids he said no just chew well - hmm Oh well hopefully i will start losing some weight have stayed the same since banding!! | Good Luck with the fill creture...let us know what its like!! Im not looking forward to mine!! I am 8 days post op and still have alot of wound pain.... also with alot of bruising! Rang my clinic yesterday just to check that this was normal as everyone else seems to be recovering alot quicker than me...they told me I am just delicate....is that code for wooss do u think?? lol But on the upside since the op I have lost 6kgs so a total with opti is 17kg! Gotta be happy with that...almost makes the pain worth it! :) Hope everyone else is going well and good luck to the soon to be banded! |
