Banding & Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome Reply to this message
Hi, this is my first time chatting online, so please forgive if I make a mistake. I have been reading these treads for the past 12 months or so and they have helped me to make the decision to get banded.
I am booked in for my Op with Dr Copp in Sep 09 (awaiting insurance). I would be very interested in hearing about anyone who has polycystic ovarian syndrome and is banded.
Does the band really stops the hunger?
I have POS and hunger has always been my biggest problem when losing weight and trying to keep it off.
I lost weight (with no effort or sickness) during my pregnancies due to the change in hormones which stopped me feeling hungry all the time (soon put it and more, back on after giving birth).
I am now getting a bit scared in general and especially that the band won't really work for me, due to the POS.
Thanks in advance.
Tanya QLD
PS. Most of your journey's are very inspiring, congratulations to you all.
