Just because you took them 1.5 hours ago it doesnt mean they have dissolved yet... so try the warm drink...not hot you dont want to scald the stoma but quite warm and sip it.
If they have dislodged you will most likely be swollen so take it easy for the next few days sipping warm fluids and keeping up your nutrients as best you can but stay away from solids till it settles.
Ice blocks during a phase like this are excellent and I would suggest that one at the moment will be quite soothing. Just dont expect to be able to ingest a lot because the selling will do the same as a tight band. However if you cant keep any liquids down at all you need to seek medical advice.
The swelling in the band will present its self like something is stuck so stop trying to bring it up it will make it worse...just try and sooth it down. And as I said if you cant keep any fluids down see a doctor |

Try a warm drink to flush the tablets thru. It sounds like they are blocked. That is the main thing that I get stuck on after a fill. You need to be very careful with tablets and perhaps cut them in half and take with a warm drink. The clear frothy liquid is thick saliva trying to wash the tablets down. Good luck with it.

| thanks Jill, i think they have dissolved because it was over 1.5 hours ago that i took them. I tried a small heat pack and lied down but that didnt work. I did also go to my first pilates class before this happened, do you know what happens with a slip? could that be it? |

| Hi, I have had the same problem.... sip some hot water if the tablets are still there it will slowly help disolve them and relax the area around the band. I had a fill 4 weeks ago next tuesday and my band has been very tight... I can't swallow tablets unless I have them with after at least 1/2 a cup of hot tea or water. When it is unblocked go back onto liquids for at least 24hours... I am still stuggling with some thick soups and yoghurts. I can eat risoto if I do it slowly.... good luck Jill |

Thanks Pyretta, I was hoping you would see this..I was able to keep water down until this afternoon. I Just went to try and throw up again and managed a bit. And i tried the fizzy drink, it helped bring up stuff, but im still bringing up bubbly liqiud. i have a sip of water, it goes down, i do a little burp, then a minute later up comes bubbly liquid. Do you think it will reslove itself or does it require a trip to the emergency (which i sooooo dont wont to do)
thanks heaps shaz |

Shazza,
it does sound like ablockage, If you can't get water to stay down them you are going to need to get maybe half of your fill out ASAP.

| I got a fill on thursday to from 8 to 9.5. i got a lot of restriction , BUT today i had to take 2 mersyondol for a headache, i took it with a tony ferguson shake-which i managed to drink maybe half of, and now - for the past hour i have been in a bit of pain, and constantly bringing up bubbly clear fluid. i have tried water to flush but it didnt work. i have tried to throw up, but nothing only fluid. I have had nothing else all day except an optifast shake for brekky...do i have a blockage? Will i stop bringing up this fluid soon, or whats going on? The doctor did mention that i could go to casualty over the weekend if i needed some taken out. Is that going to be required. I would appreciate anyones advise or similar circumstances...thanks heaps Shaz |
