This happened to me a blockage and band slip. We are not sure if the band had slipped before the blockage or the vomiting caused the slipage.
I could not keep anything down but was still vomiting up thick gunk.
Lucky I had emergancy surgery 2 days later (long weekend and doctor away) and he was able to reposition the band. The down side was I had to start from the start again with the food and the fills. I am finding this hard as I feel I have less restriction then I had the band frist put in. I never realy got restriction till I had my 3rd fill.
You have to be so careful.

Pyretta

Dont know whether it was the bi-carb soda last night or the coke today, but the blockage is gone..I was able to eat tonight, though I only ate extremely minimally and slowly.

Many thanks, Elizabeth

Elizabeth,

Try drinking some flat coke. The acid in it may be enough to break the chicken down or it could be just swollen from the blockage and in that case stick with fluids for a few days and start again on solids slowly.

Help

I have a possible blockage, from not chewing properly....naughty me..On Wednesday at lunch time I ate a small piece of chicken and I must not have chewed it well enough...needless to say since then everything I try to eat has to come back...I can drink ok, sipping.
Any advice would be gratefully appreciated.

Had a blockage last night and tried the sipping milk trick, it worked nicely only had to have a bout 1/4 cup of low fat milk, and felt way better after it.

Hi Shazza, hope you have recovered alright.... FYI I take one tablet at a time and wait for a about 10 mins before I take the next one just to make sure they dont' get stuck to each other and clogg! I have gone back on to Liquid vitamins now but still take one blood pressure capsule first thing in the morning with a cup of hot tea.... . The other night I took two paracetamol tabsules at 4am and they go stuck.. I just drank a cup the warm water slowly and in 10 mins I could go back to bed all was ok and slept likea baby!

Yes, I'd also like to know how you are. I became paranoid today about taking 2 vitamin caps at once.

I hope you are feeling better.

Re:help -possible blockage?? Reply to this message
thanks so much for you advice. I am having some warm tea with sugar now, a few more sips have stayed down, but then i had to rush to throw up-im not trying to , it just happens. Sorry i did presume that they would have dissolved by now. I also just had a bit of pain, like the blockage pain, so maybe there moving...
thanks again..Its pretty scary out here on your own, but fantastic knowing that there is always someone out there to help. I think the tea is working....OMG THANK YOU ALL SO MUCH!
