Thanks K, I think some of my clothes are looser but it's hard to tell.
I have an achievement to crow about!!! I went with my hubby and boys to the local pool, normally sit on the edge and dangle my feet in the wading pool. Yesterday I put on some bathers and thought stuff it i'm going in!!! I did 3 laps and played ball games with my boys, it was good fun. I'm happy, it's been at least 9 years since I went swimming and now theres no stopping me, it felt wonderful and I loved doing laps, I raced a young couple from the deep end and beat them both..lol. Woohoo!

Delia's Way
Put a miniature marshmallow in the bottom of a cone to prevent ice-cream drips.
The Real Woman's Way
Just suck the ice cream out of the bottom of the cone, for Pete's sake. You are probably lying on the couch with your feet up eating it anyway.

Buy Deb and keep it in the cupboard for up to a year.

When a cake recipe calls for flouring the baking tin, use a bit of the dry cake mix instead and there won't be any white mess on the outside of the cake.

Coles sell cakes. They even do decorated versions.
Delia's Way
If you accidentally over-salt a dish while it's still cooking, drop in a potato slice.
The Real Woman's Way
If you over-salt a dish while you are cooking, that's just tough. Please recite with me the Real Woman's motto: 'I made it and you will eat it and I don't care how bad it tastes.'
Delia's Way
Wrap celery in aluminium foil when putting in the refrigerator and it will keep for weeks.
The Real Woman's Way
It could keep forever... who eats it?

Cure for headaches: take a lime, cut it in half and rub it on your forehead. The throbbing will go away.
The Real Woman's Way
Cure for headaches: Take a lime, cut it in half and drop it in 8 ounces of vodka. Drink the vodka... you might still have the headache, but you won't give a damn! Why waste it? Rub the lime on your forehead afterwards, it may soak straight in? Unless you have another 8oz of that vodka left, of course?...
Delia's Way
If you have a problem opening jars, try using latex dishwashing gloves. They give a non-slip grip that makes opening jars easy.

Pamela the dietitian was so insistant that I had the sustagen that she insisted on walking me down to the pharmacy to make sure I bought it. I understood that it wasn't recommended after you start having fills

Hi everyone
A friend on the November list who was just banded was told by the dietician to take prescription Sustogen after banding but Dr Dolan said after the op that she shouldn't because it is too fattening. Do any of you have any experience with this. Did you take Sustogen or not?

| No, didn't get to Stickys this morning. I'm madly trying to get things onto ebay to sell. My 'stock room' is overflowing! LOL I'm saving the money I make towards my face and boob surgery that I hope to have later next year. |

| well it is beginning to look a lot like Christmas around here. The male of the species and the son are putting all the lights up, been at it now for 5 hours and still a few to go. All the inside stuff is out and mostly sorted but will not go up until later in the week. Seems so weird doing it all so early but no choice will not have time later . I hope everybody got in a good walk at SB's today we will if Adrian's back doesn't go on him with all this get one in late this afternoon :) |

Hi Jen, I can relate - apart from a few kg up and down, I have been "plateaued" for a year and a half - granted, a lot has been happening in that time to put me off my game - but even with the training with M and everything, have I been able to move downwards with any great headways.
Just remember for you, starting back into exercise, you will be building muscle and it weighs heavier than fat.

If anyone is interested, I have some very nice larger size ladies clothes up for bid on ebay at the moment. I also have some smaller sizes too. I start all my auctions at low prices and all my items are in very good condition or new. I'm adding more today.
My seller ID is rosiefuture.

K, I wish I could make it to that one....but its too far for me. :( and my youngest has to be collected from school at 11:30am.
Can anyone offer some advice on plateau, i'm assuming that's what's happening. I've busted my buns at the gym for the last two weeks, doing 6 sessions in that time and a couple of walks and still no movement on the scales. My eating hasn't been perfect but hey there was a night/dinner out in there. Getting a bit frustrated.

Jo, Coleen and I go to the little gym on the main street in town. It's next door to the library. You can buy membership or buy a book of ten visits.
Theres a circuit class on monday and friday mornings as 9:10am and heaps of other classes and of course the gym itself. I will be meeting Coleen there again next friday if you want to come along. If not i'm there Mon and Wed morning just after nine.
It's a good laugh at times but I usually come out looking haggard and just about crawl to my car....at least then I know i've done my exercise and i'm physically spent...lol.

Hi Marion, not sure what it was. It was the last stretch of the cool down. You had to lie on your back then cross one leg over the other then bring them both up and grab hold of the thigh that was straight and pull it toward your chest. Coleen and I had quite a giggle. Coleen looked calm and collected at the end, whereas I looked like hell and had trouble on the short walk to the cafe for coffee...i'm exhausted now. Looking forward to bed.
