| Hey Guys!! Even though Im not a Dolanite I always pop in cos its the hip and happening place to be!! I live in Lymington England (south east coast across from the isle of Wight). Im going on my honey moon to Ireland on Sunday! Im sure Im gonna wish I had an extra layer of fat to keep me warm ;-) |

| Poor old (I say old but I don't think I'm much younger than him lol) Dr D must be swamped. When I had my appointment I booked the operation straight away as I walked out of his office. I think I had to wait 6 weeks. My sister saw Dr D earlier this year and was operated on last Monday but that was deliberate to take advantage of the holidays and not use her sick leave - and so I could lok after her kids. I'm sure you won't have too long to wait. I don't know if Dr D does public patients anymore but I know that timeline was longer. Are you private Michy? If you feel too stressed and can't wait for the letter, I'd give them a ring and ask when the letter will come. |

| Hi Michy ... I had my 2nd appointment with Dr Dolan early march .... Got my bloods done a few days later and liver scan a week after that .... A few weeks after get a letter saying my appointment my operation is on he 29 May... So really it not a long wait .... I think they wait till they get the results of the blood and liver.... Mary |

| hi guys just thought i'd let you all know i saw Dr D and all is well. I have to have my blood test and ultrasound next week then i guess they'll send me a letter when they're ready about a date. was anyone here told you would receive a letter in the mail about 3 to 4 months before the surgery?? they wouldn't give me a date at my appt i was just told i'd receive a letter in the mail. any help would be good. i've been waiting 9 months already and i was a little disappointed when i didn't get the date last week, i've got anything from another 3 to 5 months from what the receptionist was saying. | Hi Team...good ones Brian. I saw my rheumatologist this morning. I had seen him recently about being grumpy, intolerant etc etc. My results were in. I am not holding the DHEA I am taking, it is way way below the norm so I am upping that dose and interestingly (not really) my thyroid is not functioning well. So I will be on a low dose of thyroxin. Zoooo yes of course, I thought, hmmm...I just might, just might lose weight a little faster....ooohhhh I hope so. From the slow loser...but on her way. Only 14kgs to go..whoohoo. |

| Hehe Marion!!! No peeing for you! Krikkit I totally agree with Sharon - wedding dresses are sized totally bizarrly! One I tried on was an 18 and I couldnt breath - another was a 14 and fit (and as you know I aint no 14!!)It just depends on the brand I think :-) You are going to look phenomenal and have such a healthy glow that it wont even matter that you are wearing a dress at all! I saw the photo of you on Bansters and you look awesome! Love Felice |

| OK I saw Dr D today and the scans came back fine. The pouch is in position, it’s slightly large but that is not unusual after nearly two years of banding. Dr D said he was happy with it - bugga lol I almost wanted something to be wrong - almost. So he asks if I want a fill, I can have 0.25 or 0.5 – I ask for 0.5. Which gives me 3.5 in a 4ml band. He says that no one has had more than that and it will be very tight. As he puts it in he again says he can tell it’s very tight - I don't doubt this at all but am prepared if it becomes an overfill. I say bye and he says, "See you tomorrow" LOL made me laugh, as he is convinced that I won't be able to tolerate that much and will need to have some removed, which I’m prepared to do. I admit to feeling a bit spooked at his words but had my optifast and a cuppa tea tonight with ease. Maybe over the next few days this might change but I have a sneaking suspicion that I will continue to consume with ease - dammit. I hope once I start to eat again on Friday night that there is a tangible difference. Great to see some of you again today, sorry I couldn’t stay long. My sister was banned yesterday and my appointment was overdue by 40 minutes and I was taking her kids to see her and the afternoon just got later and later. Hope to catch up soon – once I give the kids back! |

| Hi Sharon, Im not too worried about being a 16... when the lady tried to measure me for a 14 she nearly strangled my waist - I am not that thin and dont think I want to be, I am happy where I am. Just a few more kg to get me in the 70's and I will be happy! Wedding is set for the 25th of Oct at the Cottesloe Civic Centre Gardens... I cant wait to see photos too.. I love wedding photos! Everyone is welcome to come down, I will post details closer to the date... |

| vikki I am not up for such a challenge yet and the male of the species is the bike man more than walking but I will ask him. BUT BUT BUT if you need numbers up to purchase your pedometers (okay spelt that wrong *LOL*) you can sure put us down for 2 as those useless bits of rubbish we now have put you off more than encourage you and it aint as tho it is going to be forever before I start moving that butt of mine in a real manner :) Let me know :) applesauce |

| Oh by the way....if you can't make that one then check out Perth Get-Together thread...that's where we pop all the G-T's. We have a good one coming up on Sun 20th in Mandurah ...a family one.
