| Good ones Brian...the angel must have been out of commission on the marriage date.LOL. Morning all. Brrr itsn't it cold. I am about to launch on a 4 day challenge of opti, i'm desperate to get things moving. I will officially start Monday. I never aim for the full ketotis thing, just two meal replacements and a normal evening meal, with fruit in between if i need it. Any company out there for me. See most of you tonight. Love Jenxx |

| Hi Jodi Yes you will have swelling for sure. They fill your stomach with gas to access what they need to but as Vikki said check it isnt just around the incisions only and if worried get it checked out. Stomach will feel distended and bloated and this is a bit disheartening but to be expected and within a week will settle. Would love to meet you when you feel like it to have a chat and answer any questions you have. I am not working so have quite a bit of free time. | If the swelling is just around the incission I would go back and have him take a look at it. You may have an infection. Is the area warm to touch? If the swelling is the entire stomach area it is more than likely the left over air from the op. They fill your stomach with air during the procedure. It will soon go. It's a wonder you haven't been rather flatulant! Don't forget this is just advice as we are not medically trained. vikki |

| Hey Jodi, I can tell you my belly was HUGE after the surgery! I was all chuffed at how much weight I'd lost on Optifast, then I had this massive swollen belly, so I couldn't see it anymore. It will go down in a few weeks. Although if you are really concerned about it, or if it seems excessively painful, or it doesn't seem to be going down, you might want to just check in with your doctor just to be on the safe side. |

| Hi Changeforbest2, I just had my lapband surgery on Friday and also live in your suburb. I was just wondering if you had any swelling of the abdomen around the incisions my stomach wasnt this big before and now it feels like I am 9 months pregnant. Cheers Jodi |

| Hiya Jen Well was panicking last night - dropped a glass of soft drink all over my keyboard!!!! Now its kaput but thankfully still had the old one so Brook sorted it out for me....since his mum is so technically challenged. The other one was cordless and this isnt but all ok and back in communication once more - was nearly hyperventilating lol Glad your eye is good Jen! My bronchitis is hanging on and still getting temps as well so more steroids and antibiotics and looks like surgery will be cancelled next week so might try and see about finding another house and getting settled and then rebook the surgery. Cale suspended last thursday and friday back at school and now suspended tomorrow!!! Grown up Cale and get a job! I wish. Still hoping and resting up to try and make tomorrow night but wont be a late one if I do make it - havent slept well so will take a sleeping tablet tonight and hope that helps. Thought I might wear my red velvet coat.....may as well wear it somewhere and will keep me warm and cosy. Just need to work out the rest of the outfit to go with it. Take care and dont get these nasty germs going around cause they suck big time. Sharon |
