We have done nothing for our holiday *LOL* We are upto our eye balls getting org *** ed for christmas. Painted the bathroom laundry and toilet over the long weekend AND stupidly agreed to host a halloween party for 2 dozen 15/16 year olds. Oh I can feel my hair turning grey over night hehehe They are all pretty nerdy tho. Just so much to do around here before we go as we will have no time to do anything when we get back for christmas. It will take an entire weekend to get the lights up plus another to spring clean the house. Oh forgot want to retile the kitchen before then as well. That male of the species has his work cut out for him ;)

Heheh Jo, sounds like plan. I spoke to Sharon this morning and she flies out for her holiday in a few weeks so will have to be when she gets back which works out to be after my gall bladder op. Hopefully I will have no more of the pain that i'm in.....4 weeks today and counting til the little sucker is removed.
Was going to pop up your way today to buy my bread but feeling cruddy, when you have a minute can you please email me your phone number again, I didn't program it into my phone. I'll give you a buzz when I go up your way next, which is soon as I miss the brewbaker shop.lol.

What a wonderful spring day! I've been out the front planting heaps of potted colour. My garden should be a riot of colour come the summer.

Jen check out dreamdiva.com.au
They are in Melbourne but have some gorgeous younger style fashions that you can buy online and have some great reduced and special priced items too. Their dresses are divine and I have bought size 14 in their clothes which are a good fit for me so probably for you too twinnie since we weigh the same currently!!!
Have a look out of interest anyway. Shame we wont fit in them for much longer because I am impressed by their styles etc

Hi Carol - I hope yours and F's health issues resolve very soon and you can feel a whole heap better. I am sure getting your hair done will give you a boost as I know it always does with me. I need to get my roots done but am a bit wary as its 3 1/2 months since my bypass and my hair is coming out profusely so am worried about the bleach etc on it.
Take care

Hi all,Cannot sleep. In fact I just peeled the vegies for tonight and made a huge pot of soup.Dreading the unknown with more heart tests and endoscopy still to come.
Frank has to lose 12 kilos quick so endocrinologist has him on Optiyuk full time.We finally got to the shops today and spent a small fortune on vegies. You should have seen the look on Franks face and i must adnmit a good deal of gloating from mewhen he was told, plus our GP laughed outright. She knows Franks little food foibles of grazing constantly and sooooooooooo much bread.
I have lost a few kilos since my hospital stay, amazing what TERROR can do.
Back to playing Literati on here. Take care all.I am rarely on here at the moment as A is on school hols and I sleep a lot anyway.
Hugs Carol
Hang in there daughter dear. Seeing our friend C today, A , F and I are getting our hair done and really looking forward to some pampering, such a lovely girl.I gained 12 kilos in the 5 months of NO FILL by the way and had to go back to size 16 and some 18's mainly from op shop..real cranky about that but temporary only I hope. |

Sharon, oh bring it on!!! On the bright side at least the regular sized clothes are cheaper, that's something. Now if I can aquire you luck in squirrelling out the bargains I may at least be able to purchase few items.
So need new bras, Brian cover your eyes....they have shrunk so much theres only a c cup size left from a DD, hubby looks forlorn and i'm feeling rather dowdy with no cleavage.
Oh the perils of weight loss and wobbly bits...lmao.

Jude,
I do not have gall stones, but my gall bladder is inflamed, surgeon said chronic cholysystitus...whatever the heck that is. He said my results were strange as I don't have stones, all I know is that the pain is very real and i'm growing to hate such a miserable little organ...wretched thing!!!
I miss chocolate :( and my skins looks kinda yellow and the whites of my eyes are yellow...yep look like a real picture of health...lol.
I can't wait to get it out...5 weeks and counting.

I WANT MY LIFE BACK!

Oh well using the time constructively to list my bigger clothes on ebay, if they sell i'm going to be looking for sharon to stroll with me round the shops and find some summer stuff.

Hi Kaz
BUMP is just a way of bringing relevant posts back to the top of the page. If someone wants a certain thread if anything is written on it, it goes back to the top. Hope that makes sense!
cheers

The shoulder tip pain is still there but not too bad. For some reason it only seems to start at night. The plumbing is blocked too at the moment, nothing for 5 days, which for me is unknown!

Yayyyy what a gorgeous sunny almost Summer's day we had today...'bout time!
Kaz, If you have a fatty liver you will more than likely be asked to do Optifast for 2 weeks prior to the op as it shrinks the liver. Optifast is by far the better choice as it will enable you to lose more in that time frame than if you were on, say Tony Ferguson ( which most find more paletable ) You could ask the dietition if you can go on TF instead...perhaps for x3 weeks prior as opposed to 2x weeks on Optifast. She may agree with that...but I know what I would prefer in that senerio LOL.
Just run all your questions by her though. Infact I suggest to take some written notes so you remember to ask everything. She may have different ideas these days from when I first saw her( 3yrs ago )...so perhaps a newbie could help you with this question.
Kerri, I was on the same concoction of Tramadol, Oxyinorm and Panadol ( for quite some time too ) and was fine.
How's your shoulder tip pain now Marion?
Enjoy your long weekend everyone...go and lap up some of that sun.

Can you please tell me what Dr Dolan's pre-op regime is. I have a fatty liver and expect I will have to do meal replacements. Does he only like optifast or does he allow you to use others, and how long does he usually ask you to use optifast before the operation. I have my appointment with the dietician in November and the op 1 month later.
Cheers

OMG Ali,
I hope your saying you took also panadol with tramadol and not tramadol + oxynorm, that is dangerous! |

Thankfully the shoulder pain eased off and I got a reasonable nights sleep. The little scars are itchy today which is a sign of healing.
