Hi Jenized

I reckon the least fattening would be any spirit with a diet mixer, like diet coke or lemonade. The sugar is non-existent in diet fizzy, and you're only looking at a shot of the good stuff (vodka has, like no sugar content at all, i think). That would have to be even more guilt free than wine, yeah?

Of course, it all depends on what you like....

Merry Christmas anyhow,
Simone :)

Re:DR KEVIN DOLAN - PERTH Reply to this message
That was for Ness...I know you lot have heard it all before LOL!

Actually Ness I didnt address exercise...did I!
I had to exercise to get my weight to continually drop. I was lucky like most that the first few months it came off without much effort but it did eventually slow down. That's when I started out with some rather easy exercise ( I was too big to pound the pavement or do an aerobics class ) I chose to walk laps in the pool which I soon added weekly water aerobics classes to. I then started walking on land ( yes some evolution there! LOL ) Before i knew it I was walking quite some distance and jogging small sections along the way...and then joging the lot! ( 6km )
I was also keen on doing Jacob's Ladder once a month. We had a challenge every month to try and better ourselves. A few of us would go in a couple of times during the month to practice and before we knew it it became a weekly event...followed with coffee and brekkie...that became a social gathering which still continues today.
Every Sunday after JL and a walk we meet at Sticky Beaks Cafe ( Kings Park ) about 10.30am.

I never thought I would ever say I enjoy exercise...BUT I really do. It's addictive.
Believe me that comes with losing weight and having more mobility and energy to do it.

Re:DR KEVIN DOLAN - PERTH Reply to this message
I'm two years post band. I lost 45kgs in the first year and in total 65kgs. In fact I now weigh 65kg so I'm half the woman literaly.
I reached my sweet spot approx 6-7 months after the op and have sat on 6.5ml since. I am hoping now that I've reached my goal weight I can have a little out.
However, I'm still able to eat everything in moderation. Bread is the trickiest for me. I can eat it...it just pulls me up pretty quickly and I'd rather eat something else. I have choosen not to eat many hight carb foods...rather chosing low GI like sweet potato instead of potato and brown rice/pasta.
A typical day begins with a muesli I make myself that really is basically nuts and I just have a 1/4 cup with milk and a skinny latte. I may have another skinny latte mid morning. Lunch is generally cheese and crackers or a boiled egg mashed with mayo and a small can of tuna or salmon. Of late I've added some shredded lettuce and a couple of cherry tomatoes. Then you guessed it another latte, skinny of course. For dinner I will generally have what the kids are having served in a small chinese bowl ( and only one helping ) That could be spaghetti bol or tuna mornay or deviled sausages ( in the slow cooker the sausages melt in your mouth. I still only have about 1/2 a sausage though ) I tend to make things with sauces. If I do chicken I cook thighs as they are more moist than the dry ol's breasts. If I have steak then I buy a nice piece of fillet. I figure I'm only eating a little so it may as well be good! I will have a skinny latte after dinner or a red wine.
I must confess I do eat a little fast ( always have ) Sometimes that pulls me up! However, even two years later I still pretty much follow the rules ( like the list I started for you below ) to a tee. And I had to refer 'back to the basics' when my weightloss slowed down along the way. We all need to address them from time to time and of course be honest in answering them. Ultimately we are only cheating ourselves.

Hi
thanks for the questions. No i'm not having anymore fill to i correct my eating. I know it's just a habit thing not really physical.I can eat a hamburger or half a dinner plate easy. I am having xray on thursday to make sure i dont have any slippage and also seeing dietician. I have problem with ham and tougher meat I do need to chew more though. It's tough and I hope anyone else out there can give me some hints.
Thanks Ness

Re:DR KEVIN DOLAN - PERTH Reply to this message
lol, rapunzel, that's a good nick name for you Jen with that gorgeous mane of hair. Go and treat yourself to a new dress for xmas, you have had a bad knock, things will be less raw soon. Now go and get a frock and pop on one of those awful xmas headbands and flashing earrings and get into the xmas spirit. Go and plonk yourself on a santa's lap at the shops and tell him what you want for chrissie (always good for a laugh)..hehehe

Hope to see you sometime soon at a GT.

I left my plate it's rectangular and the top of my chicken holder, it a clear plastic dome,at your place for pink day, have to work out some way of getting them back from you. I need both for my xmas things.
