Doreen you are going to knock that smirk right of their faces! :) Oh to be a fly on the wall. :) You know of course that they won't recognise you.
I don't have a mean spirited bone in my body but i will walk in there with my new size 12 body and gorgeous much younger successful husband in arm as proud as punch. I was only slightly chubby when i saw them all last but i was VERY "homely" looking. That's code for VERY plain. I will never be the greatest beauty in the world but i'm doing OK and i'm certainly NOT "homely". I can not wait! :) One of the guys i spoke to on facebook said "i would never have recognised you, you don't look anything like you did at school. Another guy i haven't seen in 8 years said "you look great!". If that don't get yer butt out on the road for a walk NOTHING will hey? :)
Cheers, Nic |

Well, well now..............i love life! You never know what is around the corner. :) I just was told of my 20 year school reunion which sounds like it's going to be an absoloute HOOT. Boy if this doesn't motivate me NOTHING will. I have plenty of time because it's not till november. You know the funny thing (yup, i do admit to an unholy thrill here) :)........i heard that the one girl who was REALLY, REALLY relentlessly nasty to all chubby girls is now....wait for it.........FAT! Part of me feels sad for her because i have walked in those shoes and wouldn't wish it on my worst enemy and a tiny little 13 year old deep inside says "HA! YES!"
Look forward to it, have gotten in touch with a whole heap of people who's names have long ago left my brain. Can't wait! Just think, before i got banded, there is no way i would have gone, now i'm busting to go. Know what dress i'm wearing already. :) |

yay! Just got a great tip from Soula to hopefully get me off this wretched plateau! Some Trim (protein drink?) egg, banana and other fruit, sip during the day and voila!
Will try this early next week and hopefully have some results to post.
I was of good humour at first but it's been a good long time now on this plateau and i'm getting cranky now. We're beyond impatient now peoples, we're down right ornery (definition: Ugly or unpleasant in disposision or temper)

Oh yup, gravity works, i'm just glad the TT is covered as reconstructive; makes it alot more affordable.
Just came back from Mamma Mia at the movies. The live show was better of course but the movie was ALOT of fun and FUNNY. If you don't laugh out loud at least 3 times during the movie there's possibly something VERY wrong with you. The voices in the live show were better but that's to be expected from professional stage performers but it was great! I came back with the same alive and relaxed, happy feeling i came back from the show with. I think i will have to get the DVD soon. :)

Ya lucky to be small boned as im big bone and dont care. I would love to be a 12 and know that would be impossible. Right now im happy being a 14 pants 16 jeans. Top is Medium but sometime Large due to different made. With you having tummy tuck and lypo go for it. For me cant freaking afford it and only have very little sag on arms and tummy so im quite happy with it. As you know everything does go south ROFL.
Cheers

I'm small boned as it turns out Peta so there's no reason why i can't be a 12 bottom which is what i want, a proper "fits all 12's" bottom. :) Once i get my tummy tuck and maybe lypo for the back end to compliment the front end i should easily be able to do that. But my wrists and ankles are tiny so my body can support a small size. My bestest friend is a very solid gal who's wrists are the size of my ankles and i'm talking WRIST BONES, not covered with 4oog of fat on each one either. :) She could loose 20kg and that would have to be it for her because her bones are just huge. I'm getting there, crawling across the line as per. Looking forward to tassie though! Packed all my cold weather gear and ready to go, go, go!!! :)

| Wow, i can not get my brain around this. Those 14 jeans are a very loose fit! My mind says "must be a big cut or the wrong size tag". Sensibly i know that i must be closer to a 12 but i just can't get my brain to accept that. Well this is fun kinda but not fun if i can't really enjoy it!!!!Ripped off!!!! :) Only one cure for this, i have to go and buy myself a size 12!! The crazy thing is that i'm still the same weight even though i've been excersizing like a crazy person. Must be muscle and the fat must have shifted. :) hehehehehe....this is a fun and very surreal ride. |

Hi Lynda, Yup, this is totally normal. One of the several frustrating stages along the journey i'm afraid. :) Well, that stage was 35kg ago so i yes, it will pass; just need to move that ever shrinking little bod and off off off it will come!!! :) Hope you're feeling well.

Ok i know i'm going to sound like a nut here but are they making sizes bigger these days??!! :) The reason i ask is because i'm very happily buying 12 tops and 14 bottoms and i hold them up and they look big. I guess my brain hasn't caught up yet, i think "i can't possibly fit a 12 top and a 14 bottom!" But honestly, when i hold them up they look one size bigger than they are labled! I was in the shop yesterday picking myself a pair of dark blue bootleg jeans (the most flattering cut for those of us who have big hips and botties) and a pink turtleneck (12 and 14 respectively) and the jeans looked like a 16 and the top really looked like a 14. What's going on here!!!!!!!!!

Hi Nic,
Gosh your brunch sounds yummy! Far cry from my vegemite on cruskits I whipped up!
I am good, still oh-so-close to the 80s. But am happy with my shape. Went to dinner last night in a size 12 pair of jeans (very stretchy ones of course - but the tag said 12!) and a medium Jacqui E top. No self consiousness at all. It is things like that that make me realise just how far I have come, and if I am meant to be 90kg then so be it.
I do the serving size thing too - especially for yummy food! I have no problem stopping eating and leaving 3/4 of the plate; but in dishing up, I am ever hopeful!
Take care. Molly |

Geez i tell ya! I made myself some lovely silken tofu, noodles and porcini mushroom laksa for brunch but the old brain is still in residence. :) I can't seem to stop making my old sized food!!!! :) All good apart from that. Still in a plateau, weight has not budged either up or down. Impatiently waiting for it to break. :)Happy in the 70's.

Hi Brian! Long time no type! :) All well here and yes, still taking the positive route. :) I don't know how to do anything else. Comes a time in every persons life where you have to decide if you're a tigger or an eyeore and wether you're happy with that. I"m a tigger and happy about it. I could easily be an eyeore but it would kill be, i really believe if i gave in to the eyeore in me that would be the end of me. I don't know how eyeore get through life, my hubby is an eyeore but he's happy about it. Some are eyeores but miserable about it. All going well, weight loss is about 100g a month at this point but down is ALWAYS better than up hey? :) How's the brian journey going by the way? Still getting in the odd bottle of red i hope? :)

It IS mighty cold Stacey, no doubt about it!!! But....the time for excuses has long past now. I came to the understanding that if i wanted mu dreams to come true, not just with weight loss but with life in general, the excuses had to come to an end. How horribly do we retard our lives with them?! There's a very cool ad for a well known brand that says "JUST DO IT!!!!" This stay in tassie will be nearly 2 weeks. Hubby has to study for his last couple of subjects for his Masters and he's aspergers so he can't study with all kinds of noise around so the little one and i are going off to Nan's place so that daddy can do his assignments and frankly, i never need an excuse to go and see my mum who i miss every day. :) We're blessed enough that we will get to see each other twice this year! At christmas time we will all go down for christmas for another 2 week stay! Hubby will have a nice chance for a holiday, we're going on a steam train trip and going to port arthur so it will be full of historical things that my better 1/2 will enjoy.
What an exciting but nerve wracking time for you Stacey!!!! :) I can't wait because you WILL be a different person this time next year. You will be successful and i sure can understand why you're not sure, if you look back to the beginning of my journal we're probably of the same mind. In the beginning i "hoped" that this would work but nothing had so far so i was sceptical but i promise you, you'll get hooked on the weight loss! :)You'll have up's and downs and periods of lack of motivation and at times it might feel like an uphill battle but as long as you pull yourself out of it and get back into action and don't leave it too long before you do, you'll make your dreams come true and be a happier, healthier Stacey. :) Can't wait till you find you literally don't have anything to wear! :) Ebay is the place to go, the shops will drive you to the poor house! :) Will be thinking of you in 8 days time. Please do pop in and have a chat and |

Hi Nic,
It's mightly cold at the moment, you are doing very well to get out for walks in the morning.
Your trip to Tassie sounds like fun and I have no doubt you will reach your goal. How long will you be staying in Tassie for?
I'm due for surgery in 8 days time, getting really nervous and excited at the same time. Optifast is making me feel very weak and I am having trouble sleeping at the moment as my hunger pains won't allow me to nod off.
I really can't wait to be where you are, I really hope I am as successful as you are. =)
