I'd say your spot on about that sister and you Jen. You know i have found that quite often if i don't get on with someone it's because i subconsiously see things in them that i don't like in myself or fear that i do. The things that drive me crazy about my sister are that she's selfish and unforgiving and mean, i fear those things about myself and that's why they irritate me so much when i see them in her; because it's like showing me a mirror of myself. Can you tell i've spent alot of time with a shrink?! :) lol!

Yep Nic, fun and games. I have one brother. We all have our good points and complications (siblings).
There is one sis in particular who gets under my skin and funnily enough I do the same to her, the truth probably is that we are very alike. LOL!
Pink and black...still thinking of your stunning outfit.

And the weird thing is Jen is that sisters are generally very different in alot of ways. Sure my sister in i share alot of similarities, we have similar taste in clothes, we're both terrible shopaholics, we both love to travel and we have the same health problems and strengths BUT there are things that drive me nuts about her!!!!! And her about me i'm sure:). And you had 3 of them!!!! :) The funny thing is if i had to be picky i'd say i like my brother is an easier person to deal with but i'm MUCH closer to my sister. Fun and games hey? :)

Thanks Nic,
my journey is going really well. I am at the halfway point. 27kgs gone.....27kgs to go. I have done that in 9 months, so it averages 3kgs per month.
I am on myspace and I know you are too....would it be OK to add you to "my friends"?

Well, i'm looking down at my Sharpei body and i'm still really happy it's a Sharpei <sp?> rather than a balloon body. I feel so much better and face it, anything can be fixed. Where there's a will there's a way. My part time Job will help to pay for the surgery which i'm planing on starting in the winter of 09. (cooler weather is better for healing wounds) The doc wants his patients to be at goal for 6 months before he'll operate so i think i can manage that since i have just under 2 stone to go to goal. So now some excersize is required to get to that goal weight, whatever it is. :) I can't make up my mind! I waiver between 69 and 74. Anyway, somewhere in that area. What i care about now is that i'll fit in all my nice new second hand :) clothes when i go down to tassie to visit my mum. I have a fantastic outfit in mind, she'll be so shocked; i doubt she'll recognise me. :) Black pants, black skivvy an ankle length pink fluffy coat and black Jaquie 0 Sunnies. :) She will just DIE!!!! :) I've never paid much attention to my clothing, no point. Can't make a silk purse out of a sows ear now can you? Well, nows the time!

Sounds great Peta, where you planning on heading? I'm going to be lucky enough to visit the lovely apple isle twice this year. :)
Went on a little adventure this weekend for a couple of days. How is it possible to eat like a loon, walk around on the beach and loose 2kg?!?!?! Don't get me wrong, i'm not complaining but you can all identify with this i know. Pre band you go to the beach, eat a heap, excersise too and still put on weight. These days it's the new banded world of success! :) I met a great lady called Donna by the pool with her kids at the resort at Port Douglas and we had a chat about banding. I told her to take a peak around this site so hopefully she'll come for a visit. Lovely lady. Anyway, it's 39.4kg down and 10.6kg to go.

I get the same thing .. some are size 14 tops others are size 12 tops as for bottoms jeans is 16 but pants are 14 it really is confusing but i just accept the size that i can fit depends on the made of it outfit. Its good to have 2 different size at least you know it is not your body its the shape of the clothing thats fits you.
Oh its my Band Anniversary so im kinda celebrating not really just didnt realise it was a year ago hmmm.
Cheers

I have to say that this is a weird head space to be in right now. I don't find it difficult with the bod which is now getting a bit soggy, the really odd thing is that i have trouble trying on my smaller size stuff because my brain still tells me that i'm in a size 16 or 18 body. So i'm finding that i'm not wearing all those clothes that i filled my wardrobe with so i'll have to just make myself try them on. This is not a big surprise, i knew it was coming from other bandits who have talked about being a 12 and still heading to the size 18's in the shop but it really is real! I really can't see that i'm not a 16. I have 2 size 12's that fit me in my wardrobe and i keep thinking that they must be a HUGE make. Well, really they have to be and in nobody's language is a person who is 83kg a size 12. :) I swear though, women's clothing was sized by men to do women's heads in! :) I have a 12, 14 and 16 which all fit the same! So how does that work?! :) Crazy! Anyway, the soggy body can be toned and fixed by plastic surgery, the soggy brain is going to take a while longer i think. I hope it catches up eventually, it would be a shame not to completely enjoy being a small size because i was convinced i was a larger size.

I forgot....ebay is my biggest weakenss. :)
Beautiful things for much less than you pay for in the shops, things you can't even get in the shops!
I've just started my chrissy shopping so come october it will be all over and done and i will have bought 2 presents per pay over the year and it all happened without credit card debt or without things being tight. :) Doesn't get better than that. :) |

Doreen i gotta tell you, one of my weaknesses is markets. :) That and antique shops. While i was down visiting my mum we found a gorgeous little antique photo frame. You know one of those oval one's from about our grandparents time? All wood and carved. They didn't even have a place to put glass! Gorgeous!
