Not having a whole heap of fun at the moment, the up side is that i have great restriction (maybe a titch too much). The down side is i have alot of sliming and shocking heartburn at night and in the late afternoon. Perhaps i've gone too far with this fill. I'm kind of trying to wait it out and give it time to settle down a bit, after all it's only been a week and a 1/2 since the fill. Hmmmm.....not having fun.

And the best bit - skin weighs a few kilos too!!

My little boy is great and enjoying his new trampoline, insisting that i join him at least 3 times a day. :) Great excersize i have to say, boy it gets your heart rate up!
My big boy is off galavanting and socializing, he'll be 21 in 8 months! My big, big boy (hubby) is a workaholic who refuses to spend a penny on himself for anything. Everything that man has is something i have bought him. Between work and his masters, it's just study, work, sleep, study, work, sleep.........
Two kg down is ALWAYS better than two KG up! :) When you're disapointed just think of it that way. I'm not blowing sunshine up your kilt, my compliments and encouragements are always genuine, a 22/24 to a M at Jacqui E!!!!!!!!!!!!! :) Do you feel like you're shopping for a friend? I do. Accidental excersize is the way to go isn't it? It's a good little trick. :)
Keep up the good work hey.

Hi Nic,
You have been so steady along this journey. Such an inspiration. (And and aspiration too!). Your no-nonsense attitude and practical outlook really do inspire me and I often check out this thread to see how you are going.
Every kilo now is a battle for me (2 months and only a 2 kilo loss). I just can't find the time or energy to exercise - but I am making the effort to do a bunch of incidental exercise though... And 2kg down is still 0.25kg a week and anything that isn't a gain isn't to be sneezed upon!
I am planning a trip toward the end of the year to the US so I am madly hoping/planning to be significantly closer to goal (goal was 70 but I am with you - 69 at least for a day!). I am meeting up with a friend who I won't have seen for over a year by then and I would like the change to be major!
But you are right - when I think of how far I have come... Couldn't wear anything in Jacqui E but now a MEDIUM - non stretchy with a zipper even - fits me. My new target jeans are a (very stretchy, but still!) size 12. I've a ways to go - but gosh how far I have come! I was in Target the other day and I picked up a pair of size 22 jeans (I really probably was a 24 before, but I was sqeezing myself into the 22s as long as the seams held just to be that slight bit smaller!) and two of me could have gotten in there. It has been so gradual that I don't feel a great deal different - but something like that really makes you stop and feel the sense of accomplishment. I wouldn't be without this little silicone friend. If not for it, then I would have been picking up the size 22s and marvelling how small I used to be when I used to fit into them...
How are your little and also your big boy? And how is that darling hubby of yours? Cloned him for me yet?!!

Hey Molly! We're at the same place in different decades! :)
When i get this close to the next decade down it makes me crazy and i have to have it! :) Nothing else makes me eat properly and excersize like being 81 or 91 or 101 etc....
I am finding that if i'm able to retain any nutrients at all after this fill i need to take a tiny bite and then straight away a tiny sip. No pain and i have all the nutrients i need. I'm still only haveing about 2 1/2 cups of food per day and that's plenty. I went to my surgeon and he didn't recognise me! :)
Well done you by the way! You're sniffing the 80's! It's exciting stuff, congrats on your success, you must be very proud of yourself when you consider where you came from. Whenever i get discouraged i think about where i was and dig out a photo pre op. That sorts you out pretty quickly. :)
Cheers, Nic |

Hi Nic,
So close! Me, I will be happy to see something in the 80s (only one kilo away!).
I have been getting that same pain as well as some shoulder tip pain too after my last fill on occasion. But for me any drink at all will cause a PB. Even if I had no pain to start with! I have always drunk with my meals so it is a hard habit to now break. We are all different, and you know your body best, so you are doing the right thing!
Still can't get the exercise happening. I have had a back injury over the last few months so that hasn't helped either.
Keep up the fantastic work!

Oh i am so glad i got that fill!!!!
It's really kicking in. I had some chicken, very well chewed last night and boy it wasn't worth it! :) I find that after i eat now i get a dull pain in my upper back (at the back of my stomach). I do find thought that a hot shower or wheat pack and a SLOW glass of water sorts things out pretty quickly. I know the docs say DON'T DRINK WITH FOOD but if i did that, i'd be in constant discomfort! And i really only have a small glass of water to flush things through a little bit and i don't feel hungry any sooner than i would without doing it.
So i'll be finally hitting the 70's in the next couple of day. Pumping up the excersize so by friday i'll be a 70's gal!!!! Whoo Hoooo!!!! The lowest i've ever been as an adult is 74 and i was really sick then. SO i can't wait to get to that point. |

Hi Jodie, Glad you hear from you! I'm glad you're well too. I think 5kg is VERY good for 1/2 way! A healthy bub is all that matters. I hope after you've waited all this time that someone is going to throw you one heck of a baby shower! :) I'm throwing one for my friend amanda, i've done this a few times for a few of my friends. I think i should go into the baby shower business. :) I'm a pro now.
Meantime, i had another fill today, just a 1/4 of a ml and BOY!!!!.....i'm glad it was only a 1/4. Not much food for me for the next few months. Good results though. :)
Stay well, feet up (what am i saying???!!! This is YOU i'm talking about!) Ok, just TRY to put your feet up. :)

Hi Nic,
Just a quick note to say hello. Things are going great for you. Well done. It has been hard for me at the moment as the weight is slightly creeping back up. The baby is well. 19 wks now. And no I still do not know what it is. I have put on about 4-5 kg. I hope that is not to much? Do you think it is?

Yeah, that's a good way to think about it Jen, we just chip away at it. :) Sometimes 1kg up, sometimes 1 down and sometimes nothing at all but more often than not, at the end of the year............bandits are down in weight. That's the complete opposite of what it used to be hey? :)
Hooray for us!

Good for you Peta! You've come such a long way so i don't see any reason why you can't get into the 12's but as you said, you're happy where you're at so that's what really matters the most. :)

Every day you have someone to love and who loves you is a wonderful day. :)
unquote.
In the beginning I had 60kgs to lose...did I say that right in the first place hopefully. It was such a big number and frightening. You think you will never do it, the chipping away, bit by bit, and then you're told 15kgs..it seems like nothin hey.
I love your saying Nic. hence copying it.
take care
joy and heart songs to you.

Hi Jen, I'm 5'6 and a bit. I have a Large 12 top, a standard 12 waste and a 14 bum right now. :) I can get away with size 12 dresses right now because the bum is usually not figure hugging. :) I'm a cheat!!!! :) hehehehehehe. I'm not there yet, still just under 2 stone to go. Then i expect i'll end up a large 10/small 12.
Unbelieveable isn't it Jen?! Who'd a thunk it?! I am just amazed at this technology and amazed at all of us!

I know Jane! I can't believe it myself! It's very sureal, like it's not me. I've got to get to that size 12 because my dear old (thankfully dead) mother used to say to me "if you live to be 100 you'll NEVER be a size 12". If i didn't actually have a life i'd go and stand on her grave with a size 12 dress on, but it's enough just to have it in my mind. :) I can't believe i've actually bought size 10 outfits for summer?! Even when i do fit into a 12 i keep thinkng "boy it must be a HUGE 12." But at the end of the day a 12 is a 12! Big or small 12.............it's still a 12. :)hehehehehe... We're all getting there with hard work and persistance, slowly but surely. What a MUCH happier life hey?

Hiya Molly! :)
Thanks for dropping in. I know what you're saying. I'm the same regarding the 70's. I am fluctuating between 81 and 82.5 and just can't seem to crack that mark. It will happen. I'm so hooked on the results now that i KNOW it will happen. :) Anyway, i' ve got great insentive. I'm going to tassie to see my family in 4 1/2 months and there's no way around it, i have packed only size 12 stuff so i HAVE to fit in it......no choice. :) I love "no choice" becuase it means that i will be happy with the result. :) It's weird though this "no penalty eating." When i was pre band i would eat something, put on the weight almost immediately, get depressed and just keep eating, get fatter, more depressed, eat more..........
Now, if i go through a festive period like easter or christmas and happen to put on a kg or two i just eat right again and excersize and it's gone so i don't worry about it. This is great BUT it makes tests you to see if you've really changed you're attitude toward your health and food and i gotta tell you, mine hasn't changed as much as i thought it had and i still need to do some work. I only have an issue at the festive times generally but it's an interesting psychological issue that i'm sure has effected all bandits to some degree, even if only temporarily. Chat soon.
