Thought for the day
"You need to decide pretty early on wether you're a Tigger or an Eyore" Do you CHOOSE strength and happiness or misery and weekness? |

Well the band is being a George today. I call it George when it annoys me and today it's really annoying me. Everything i eat and drink (hot or cold) is making me feel uncomfortable and i've pb'ed a couple of times and so i'm generally irritable. George was my most hated character on TV. You know? George Castanza from Seinfeld? I LOATHED that character, just looking at him made me feel nauseous! So when the band is being painful, annoying, weak and irritating i call it George.
The good news is that when i'm feeling c r a p p y i think of all the fun stuff ahead on the social calander. This sunday we're having friends of ours over for champagne brekkie. Next weekend i'm going to a gourmet food party plan party at my sister in laws house. The week after that i'm buying my tickets to taz to see my mum in september and the week after that i'm going away for the night with my prince for our 9th anniversary. I bought a black Peignoir in an M for the occassion and it fits like a dream which i'm REALLY pleased about. So...happy thoughts. :)
See! I feel better already!

ha! That's ok. I love my sister in law so i don't mind being confused with her, she's thin, athletic, well off, hard working, smart and nice so it's flattering. :) We don't agree all the time of course, no one does; but in general.....she rocks.

Hi Nic
I figured out why I thought you had lupus. I searched the messages on the Chronic's group for 'lupus' because that's where I thought you had posted about it. Turns out Carol posted that she had lupus and you responded to it. That's even more embarrassing than me confusing you with your sister in law, sheesh! |

| So back on the excersize trail and although it's been 3 weeks since my fill and i've lost no weight i've just excersized twice on my new found dedication and have already lost a few hundred grams so 79.5 is still better than 79.9 in my books. On the right track again anyway. Cheers, Nic |

You obviously could remember some connection with Lupus there though.

Hi Leanne, Long time no speak! :)
Thanks for your thoughfulness but nope, no lupus here. My sister in law was diagnosed some years ago, that's why you might associate it with me.
Cheers, Nic |

If I remember correctly you were diagnosed with Lupus, there is a Lupus and Banding thread where someone is querying lupus and banding. I'll put the link to the thread below.

| Lynda I have brought the Brisbane Bandsters thread to the front page. Nic mentions on there that she'll check the thread in the morning in case something came up and you can't make it. |

Hey Nic,
Funny you should mention walking - I am going to have a go with a work friend. I am not sure how I feel about the sweaty in the middle of the day idea though!
Best of luck for hubby! That sounds like a fantastic opportunity.
I feel the same as you about exercise. I think I have brainwashed myself from childhood when I was really uncoordinated and then too fat and all in all, never had pleasant exercise experiences. So, my pavlovian response to exercise is to groan. Wonder how one goes about re-programing that one?!
Keep up the excellent work there Nic. Molly |

is up to me, and a good portion of it is; then i want to be fit when i get there. Eeeek, it was a real eye opener i can tell you. I suppose i just have to keep reminding myself thoughout my life that good health is directly linked with excersize wether i like it or not, accept it or not, believe it or not.............the facts are the facts and you can't change them to suit. sigh...........

So it seems that i am a person completely about patterns. I can't believe that i'm nearly 37 years old and only just discovering how much of a pattern person i am now?!
I excersize every day without fail, rain or shine, including the weekend for about 6 weeks, then i do nothing for about another 6 weeks, then i get motivated again. I'm sure my results would be much better if i could manage to stay motivated. I am pleased that at least my committment to eating good food and staying on the healthy food wagon doesn't change. That doesn't mean that i don't enjoy the food i love, i eat anything i want; i just make sure that 90% of the time it's healthy and packed with vitamins. So i'm happy about that at least. I guess if you balance that out throughout a year i'm still excersizing at least 3 times a week and that's a hell of alot more than i used to. I thought my attitude would change toward excersize and while it has to some degree i still generally feel the same about it. The only thing that has changed significantly is that it's physically easy to do whereas before it was physically difficult to haul my giant caboose around the place. So my verdict on excersize 16 months down the track. I LOVE how i feel AFTERWARDS, i LOVE the results i get because of it but i still don't like having to do it. I kind of feel resentful sometimes and i know that's absoloute madness and doesn't make sence because at the end of the day, the big picture is that the body is not able to be at optimum health unless you excersize. I saw a documentary once which showed the difference between elderly people who had excersized for years and those who hadn't and boy the difference was HUGE. An 80 year old who has excersized is spry and full of entheusiasm for life and one who hasn't (if they're still around that is) is all wrinkled and crinkled and fragile and frail. I'm looking into my future and thinking "no thanks". If i should live that long (God willing)i want/need good health and where it |

Hi Molly, I fogot about that terrible drive. Boy that's a killer hey. Is there a work friend you could walk with during lunch instead of sit down and eat and either have a little something while you walk or have something at your desk when you get back? Just a thought.
Hubby and the boys are great. Hubby has just applied for a PRIME job and here's hoping he gets it. It will double his wage and this will improve life alot and finally get our wedding day debt out of our way after 9 years. :) We ended up having to pay for our wedding when my parents pulled out and boycotted the wedding (fun and games). :) Keep up the good work!

Thanks Nic. I know re exercise but I am struggling with the time factor (I travel 3hrs each day plus work a full day so am a little bushed by the end of all of that!) - I am working on the incidental exercise but that can only do so much!
Thanks for the pep talk. I really needed it!
Take care. Hope that gorgeous hubby and boys are good.

| Hi Molly, Good for you smart lady! :) I think you definatly made the right decision with that unfill or you would have been im big trouble. Regular good, healthy food and crank up the excerize and you'll be pounding that scale before you know it. I haven't moved in the weight 3 weeks and one good walk yesterday shifted 400g! I HATE my system, ;) It won't budge the weight unless i excersize! What a rip!! :) I'm joking of course. :) I get in and out of the excersize groove but when the scale doesn't move i know straight away why that is (speaking only for myself by the way because not everyone's bodys work the way mine does i'm sure.) You're going great! You must be so proud of how far you've come. Imagine where you'll be in a year from now! :) Cheers, Nic |

Hey Nic,
How are you going? I had to have an unfill yesterday as I was too tight and couldn't swallow water after getting a teeny thing stuck. I had really pushed it to the limit trying to get this weight loss happening. It was crazy. I was eating basically nothing and felt awful so it was a good push to do what needed to be done... So, now going to concentrate on eating more regular meals and better food and just give my body a break for a bit. If I am meant to be 90.5kg then so be it!! I just can't sustain eating soup at night and that is all that will go down...
Hope you are good! I'll be OK - just annoyed at myself - but kinda proud that I was sensible!

Happy Mothers Day to all those hard working, long suffering mothers out there!!!
This morning we head of to a gorgous place for a buffet breakfast where i will have my usual $2.50 worth of food. :) I dont' mind actually, it's the occassion that matters. The food is gorgeous and they have a HUGE closed in play area for the little one so i'm happy. Time to spend with his daddy, which is getting rarer these days. Could be worse i guess, he could be a bum with no desire to make something of himself; down the pub with his mates i guess. :) Women are never happy are they? These poor blokes, they just can't win! :)
Anyhow, weight holding steady, i'm still "livin in the 70's". S'all good!

Hey Nic,
Looks like that fill (and winter!) are working well for you. I am booked in for Thursday to have a teeny more fill. (Yup, number 3,489 (or so it seems!)). So hopefully that will give me a little boost. otherwise still holding very steady - 90.5 - 91. I just want to see an '8'!
Keep up the great work. Am so thrilled for you. You have been steady at it and are an inspiration to those of us who are losing each kilo kicking and screaming!!!!
[Mind you I know if I lost the treats and upped the exercise I might have an easier time of it - am working on my head issues too during this journey)...
