Hey! Glad you're feeling better Molly! :) I find that i can just look now and 99% of the time i have the right size without trying it on. I hate trying on stuff (another scar from my mother. :) ) Usually when i think that it's about 5kg of me fitting into it, it fits perfectly. :) Funny how the brain doesn't catch up with what you really look like hey? :) You'll get to the stage where all your 22-24 elasticized pants will touch the floor because of all the weight you've lost in your thighs and botty. :) I feel like i've shrunk in height but i remember that it's all the fat out of my thighs and bottom that has made my pants longer. It's a fun old ride though. :) All my boys are good. Hubby has a week off (well, a study week really so not a week off) and so we get to spend a bit more time together. I've knocked off the night work and am just doing a couple of really short shifts a week just to keep my hand in. Weight still not moving but i have! Got sick of the scales saying the same week after week (wouldn't have said that a year and 1/2 ago! ) so i decided to get that butt moving in order to get that scale moving. :)
Talk soon

Hi Nic,
I am feeling human again! WoooHoooo!
Your new shop find sounds great. I am quite over the stuff in the stores at the moment and having a great deal of trouble finding stuff to fit actually. Partly because I don't know anymore my sizes in a store and I have no patience to take a size 12, 14 and 16 into the dressing room all the time!
Plus my 'generous' hips make pants in normal sizes hard. I almost miss the old elasticised waisted pants of the size 22-24 me that always fit! (looked hideous, but did up when I could find them!). I know it is a problem I once could only dream of, but by golly that doesn't comfort me when I am freezing in winter in skirts and stockings 'cause I have no pants to wear to work!!!!
One style from target are good but that is it. And that style comes in 2 types only, so am waiting for the new ones to come in (fingers crossed they were not a one time deal!).
Hope you are well and hubby and your boys are good. Take care. Molly x |

Yup, all that posh nosh and the best things are found down at the local cafe at 2am on a sunday morning. :)
So sorry to hear you're not well Molly. :( HOpe you're feeling better soon.
Yeah, i'm kind of clinging on to that skin fact. :) I keep telling myself that i'm really probably 6kg off goal rather than 9 kg. :) I found this adorable new shop today too, called In Pink. Wow, they have some gorgeous stuff! Stuff that isn't just repeated in all the other Rockmanesk shops. Designer look but not designer price. I could spend ages in there.

Your weekend sounds absolutely gorgeous. Very jealous! The most exciting thing I did all weekend was drag myself from bed to the couch and then the shower! Dreaded flu has hit me pretty hard.
Your weekend sounds perfect. Especially the 2am coffee. It is amazing how much pleasure we get out of the simple things - especially when they are memories of a time gone by!
Take care and all the best for those last few pesky kilos! (remember skin weighs a bit too!!). Molly |

My sentiments exsactly Molly. I agree with everything you just said. I'm an M in most things and i'm really happy. The only reason i'm going for the next 9kg is for the same of a nicer result when it comes to plastic surgery. Like i told my hubby, i'm not about to spend all this money and go through the pain of recovery just to come out with an "ok" result. Night awy was GORGEOUS. Chocolate coated strawberries with chocolate high tea for two upon arrival. Bug tail and Lindt chocolate terrine for dessert. Strawberrie milkshake before bed time. Buffet breakfast this morning which i could eat bugger all of but it was just nice to be there. I had one smoothie shot, a strawberrie, 1/3 of a hash brown and a lovely warm cup of tea. THen we walked elong the riverfront to the artist markets and spent some dosh. It was NICE. It's so hard to get out of that " mummy and daddy" roll once you get in it. The thing is we just couldn't sleep in the early hours of the morning so we just walked into town like and had coffee at 2am like we used to when we were dating and had no resposibilities. Bliss! :) So now we're back down to earth although it's nice to see the little guy again and he was good for nanna and grandad. :) We took lots of nice photo's for the first time ever too. :)

I need that kick too Nic!
Hope you had a lovely celebration and I bet you looked gorgeous in your size 12 number!
You are right, it has been many, many years since I have been this weight. I feel comfortable. I can wear skirts and dresses without my legs rubbing together and I can wear a jacqui E medium!! All the rest is just icing!!!

Molly, i keep forgetting that you and I are two peas in a pod! :) Neither of us can get weight loss/good health without EARNING it. :) I suppose that's the way it should be and that's the way anything good in life is. You can't have a good marriage without EARNING it with alot of work, you can't get a good job with lots of cash without EARNING it and the list goes on and on.....why should something as important as good health be any different? :( Sigh..... I'm just lazy, that's my problem. I need to give myself a good kick in the backside and stop moaning about how i'm not loosing any weight and get my backside out there and EARN it. :) You get the results you make for yourself good or bad. We'll get there Molly, we will, we will, we will!!! :) And when we look back, it's been many years since we've been this weight.
Hugs

| Thanks for the best wishes. I'll have a great time tomorrow night i'm sure. Hubby bought me a new camera so i'll be sure to take a pickie of us having some posh nosh. :) These places make me a little anxious with all their suited waiters and the little white gloves, hovering around with a tiny silver brush and pan for the table crumbs. eeeeekkk..... or rather, CRUMBS!!!! :) hehehe. Hubby is trying to remind me that they are just waiters who work in a posh place. They get off work and put their trackies on and mung around their flat, probably in the same street as us! :) Still. Nah, it will be great. And yes, a 12 is a 12. It's a bit tight buy i'm comfortable/confident enough to go to a posh nosh place in it so i'll be fine. Have to go out today and find myself some shoes.Would you believe it? I have every other coloured shoe in the universe but not black evening shoes! :) Nic |

yeah, i'm not too fussed Jen. I'm only a stone and 1/2 of goal and frankly that 1/2 is loose skin anyway so that doesn't count. :)

Congrats Nic for today and all the best for a fab celebration! I am plodding along as usual! I have 0.7ml of my 1ml emergency unfill returned so that is good. Have a touch of the flu, which is not so good!
The band dr told me that unless I do some exercise that he believes I am am probably going to stay at 90kg or lose like a kilo each 3 months. My time of losing from restricting my eating appears to be over or very much curtailed!
So, I am going to make an effort with the incidental exercise as much as I can. It is just hard that I travel 3hrs a day to/from work, so by the time I get home I am exhausted. But I have been making the effort to move around at lunch time (not sit at my desk and work through!) so we will see! But nice bonus from the flu was a kg loss so I could just aim to have the flu for a few months lol!!
Enjoy your special celebration Nic. You are such an inspiration and sure those 9kg will be slower, but a size 12!! You are wearing a size 12! Molly xx |

I will Jen thanks> :)
This time last year i was a LONG way off, now i'm 9kg off goal. Mind you that 9 seems to be determined to stay on at this point but i'm very, very happy. You can't complain can ya when you're this close. :)
This time 9 years ago we were in the car on the way to the Country Club for the reception in our Midnight Blue Convertable Mustang just talking about our first couple of hours as husband and wife.
Cheers, Nic |

| Doing great thanks Molly, :) the dress fits great except it's a bit tight around "the girls" but it just looks like I have the best push up bra in the world on. :) My arms are still a bit big for my liking but you get that. They're doing ok, i shouldn't complain about them, they're not THAT bad. :)Tomorrow is the actual anniversary and we go away on saturday to enjoy pure luxury. How goes it with you? Nic |

Nic
You are spot on about hipsters which i am wearing but so far i dont have that overlap fat look *touch wood* as i know what tops that doesnt show it and it still looks great. I did try the above waist jeans and it made my butt so big and also it irritate my port area as well thats what made me go for hipster and it sits nicely apart from showing butt crack i just get shirt that is longer to hold it further below by butt crack so i dont get people saying OMG that blinded me !!! Cheeky buggas. So far i have not had a nice dress apart from the one in the photo was for formal. Not that i have a nice day dress but people kept saying i have great long legs and perfect curve for it so i just never seems to get one maybe when summer comes along i will get one as im very self conscious on dresses as they do sometimes show big butt !!! I need a fashion expert to show me what suits me or not im bloody hopeless ROFL.
Cheers

| Yeah, i figure the same thing Peta. I want to be able to sit comfortably in the thing and eat my tea comfortably too but that's it. I'm finding that when you actually have some sort of a figure it doesn't hurt to show it off a little bit. I think as a fatty you tend to try and hide it in baggy stuff, not realizing that it actually makes you look bigger than you are. Don't get me wrong, i've seen some shockers who have thought they looked good in their poorly chosen tight stuff and it was TRAUMATISING!!!! I felt sorry because i know people were looking and laughing but that's just a matter of taste. I'm VERY careful because i've seen this and thought that it could be so easy to do to choose a truely aweful outfit as a big gal. I'm learning alot about clothes right now i can tell you. I learned that bootleg is very flattering for bodies with shape but higher waste is better if you have hips. Someone i know who will remain nameless is a hippy gal but wears low cut jeans and looks like Kim from mel and kim. This is not a flattering look, m u f f i n tops are UGLY. Mel and kim and their clothing are there for a laugh, not a fashion statement. I have the same hips so the last thing i want is to risk that look. :) Anyhow, i'm pretty sure i'll be able to get away with it. Won't go out in it unless i do. Nic |
