| Sure does J. London is a very addictive place. I could easily live there for a couple of years. I understand why squillions of aussies do precisely that. |

Glad you had a good time - but I'm green with envy! Wouldn't mind doing a trip myself this year, but given that I walk about 80kms a week and can't seem to lose anything on my moderate intake, I think staying the same weight while o/s is pretty well beyond my capabilities.
Just shows how different we all are. So glad you had a good time. Now, just the powers of persuasion to get hubby to agree to relocation . . . . . . . . . . . :-) |

| Yeah, that's what i think Linda. You can't ask for better than that. Considering that i doused myself in greek yogurt and honey, baklava, escargot and foie gras i think i did very well weight wise. All those things are very fattening. :) So that's the secret!!! :) Walk 6km a week and you can eat what you like! :)hmmmm....not sure about that. :) |

I'm baaaaaack!!!!
Had an amazing time, rested and wanting to go back and spend a couple of years in london, will have to talk the hubby into all the fuss associated with that process. :)
Not sure how i'll do there.
The good news is that i walked about 30km while i was there, i ate very well and didn't loose a pound! :) hahahaha!! Turns out the walking just counteracted my new found love for Greek Yogurt with honey on top and Escargot and Fois Gras! :) I'm not upset actually, no loss but no gain either and considering i have no fill in i;m a very happy little clam.
Hope you're all well |

Yes won't be long now Mel. :)
I'm going for a spa day tomorrow to chill a little so that might help and get the last few things done tomorrow afternoon and night. |

Nic.... sometimes the silliest things can set you off. You are going through a very stressy time... getting ready for a big trip like this and remembering that you have done everything is stressful.
Hang in there.... you will soon be on your way!

| You are strong Nic. Just write yourself a list of things to do and tick them off 1 at a time. Burn some lavender oil or rub some on your temple. |

I know linda!!!!! I can't believe i have gotten myself this worked up. I've experienced some of the most foul stuff this planet has to offer and not a panic attack in site but one trip away, a few weeks of sickness and a 5 year old who's being a monkey and i'm a mess! :)
10 deep breaths and think of Paris! :) I can do that Mel. :)I understand that the death of a near and dear one can cause such a thing being such a horrendous trauma but i didn't think something as comparitively insignificant could as well. I feel a bit of a wally. Shrug, i'll live. :) |

Panic attacks... they are pains in the neck! Put an elastic band on your wrist and if it happens again you can give it a flick on the inside side of your wrist and yes, it does sting, but it often can stop it in its tracks. I used this tecnique for a few years after my sister died.
No... you are not a prima donna... you are just worried, anxious and excited. Ten deep breaths and think of Paris! Maybe a script of Xanax might be worth getting just in case!

I'm telling you, i'm turning into a proper prima donna!!!!! What a big girls blouse!!! I wok last night with this incredible pain in my chest, it was so painful that it took my breath away a little bit. First thing to pop into mind was "my band has slipped!!!!!! I'm going to have surgery on the morning i'm supposed to get on a plane!" Then i remembered this feeling. I had a panic attack 21 years ago when i was the 16 year old mother of a new born child living in an abusive home. I remembered that feeling. So into the hot shower to at least calm the body, on with a hot wheet pack after that and laying down under the warm doona breathing slowling and deeply and praying as usual. Eventually it went away and all is good. Blimey! I'd really like to just get on this plane!! :)
All's well that ends well. |

:) Thanks Mel i have every intention of enjoying all those lovely new foods.
The doc pretty much the same thing as you plus swelling that came from me throwing up alot. I tell you i didn't realise what a truely horrid experience getting a proper coke resistant blockage could be. What a nightmare!
Anyway, all good now and we can enjoy our trip; hopefully. :)

Geeze Nic.... talk about excitement plus in your life this week. I am glad that fill is out. It was probably a combo of excitement, the bloody carrot and stress worrying about the bloody carrot!!!
Now... leave the fill out, relax and enjoy the trip. You have to enjoy those wonderful foods. I have never put weight on during a holiday since I had the surgery.... it still controls you and keeps you honest.

| THanks linda. I was a bit worried that i was going to miss my trip if it was a slip. I was on liquids yesterday and some chewed to a pulp solids last night, went great; 100% perfect. Will do the same today just to give my stomach a rest. Slept like a baby after not sleeping at all on saturday night and no reflux or burn at all. A perfect night. |

| Well i just can't get enough of fun and games. :) Ended up in the emergency department of the RBH for the night on saturday night with a blockage, 3 ltrs of fluid to get me redydrated. The most lovely nurse who also had a band just whisked me in past the waiting room and started taking care of me. On sunday morning i had all my fill out and all is good. Couldn't get GG but Dr Ian Martin was taking care of his patients for the weekend and what a lovely man! He didn't even charge me for taking out my fill. He said to the receptionist "we were never here." :) Ok, i'm ready for nothing else to go wrong and the trip to be great! |

HI Mel, I have had a ml taken out and it was good for a couple of days until "the carrot incident". Now it's still very tight. At night mainly, seems like the food of the day builds up and i'm pbing at night and feel very uncomfortable. I've either had a slip, am stressed/hyped up over the trip, the cooler weather has kicked in or everything is a little swollen due to the excessive pbing. Either way i can drink as much as i want during the day, eaten about a cup of food today. The problem here is that i have bug ger all time before we leave. Not sure what to do. The good news is that i will loose a c r a p load while i'm away. :) And i can still take my multi-v in the morning. :) Nic
And yes Linda i will definatly stay away from those carrots, i feel ill just looking at them and threw them in the bin. :) |
