| Julie, the other big factor about the surgeries you and others may have, is also how many times you have been pregnant.and stretch your bellies out to 9 months of pregnancy. I have only had 2 kids, so I would assume that for someone who had 4 or 6 kids, it would be a different story.., for those that havevn't had any, it would be different again. which is why I said every surgery is different.every situation is different. comparrisons shouldn't be made in weight loss or surgery. your pictures are a great guide and its up to the individual,to choose to look or not to look. | Angel, Thank you for explaining the plastic surgery 'thing'. I too, was concerned Leanne's description of the state of my post weight loss body might have upset or put off other prospective bandsters - living in Brisbane or anywhere else in Australia! Yes I have/had lots of loose skin, but remember I have lost over 100kg. That is not to say someone who has 'only' lost 30kg (for instance) wouldnt have the same skin issues. As everyone knows, loose skin/stretch marks is far more complicated than just body weight. Skin type, heritage, speed of weight loss, hormone status, hydration are just A FEW factors governing whether someone will be tight as drum post weight loss or loose and hanging (as I was on my tummy). However, the issue is - I had the courage, inclination and determination to rid myself of the loose skin. It was my choice to share the pictures on my thread. I did it in the hope it would help others in a similar situation. I dont have designs on myself either - despite describing myself as an English Rose in previous posts :) That was, purely to reinforce to Leanne that I have no issues with myself, my self esteem, my confidence or MY BODY - and that include stretch marks, hanging skin etc. Who cares what other examples Leanne has seen of loose skin. When will that woman realise NO ONE CARES about her opinion and as many times as she tries to bully us on here by saying she wont reply IF we dont post about her - seriously the same applies :) I really wouldnt bother to 'feed her obsession' with other peoples lives Angel. Dont go into details and try to explain yourself to that piece of junk. She has been on here (and other groups) for long enough now that most people reading (if they are bothering anymore !!) know what she is like, and realise that you, me, Mel et al only respond to her in an attempt to quell her obsession....as much as we all try to ignore her !! | Leanne. the only reason I suggested you put your before and after photos up, was because you were critisizing Julie's operation saying you were going to have a far less invasive procedure done, and for the newbies not to be scared off.. It would have been great for them to compare the 2 different operations.since yours is going to be so much better. I have been to the last 2 support group meetings which you haven't turned up for., so don't give me that C*RA*P about not attending your gold coast get togethers.You know perfectly well I have to share the driving with another person. I come to the gold coast usually twice a month. you know that I can't see the Doctor the same day as the meetings are held, so they are spaced out in 2 weekly intervals, I can't keep driving up there, what with the cost of fuel and also the physical toll it takes on me to do that.and also going to Brisbane to see the othopaedic surgeon. But you are the only one with medical problems aren't you? saying I was well enough to attend, you wouldn't have had a clue Leanne, you never asked. as for the gold coast get together, I am up there with my family and we are going to sea world together, which is why I am not attending with the others.but its non of your business.where i go and who with.I still haven't even decided yet. I also don't care what you tell your GC group about me as it will be full of lies any way, so I am not going to stress over that one. I have no idea who is 'You know who" If they attended the meetings, I would be able to ask them how they were then, but they don't go and neither do you. Now you have to bring Chris into it again knowing full well she won't be reading this. she is a true friend one that comes along rarely, and she was concerned for me when I had recent surgery, unlike you ringing me up 2/3 times a day with all your dramas. | Mary I respect if people choose not to post a photo of themselves but I do resent when someone who doesn't post photos of themselves suggests to me I should do it when mine have been on display for five years on forums. But to shut you and others up I have put back the same photo on my profile that I removed when Mel and Julie said it was ugly. I don't have a current photo of me and I don't even look like that photo anymore, you would walk past me in the street without recognising which I love sometimes because I don't get bailed up by people I know if I don't feel like chatting, I ignore them. As you know there is a professional photographer coming to our surgeon's support group and the other Mary suggested I wait until then before having my final after photos taken. Then I will upload my recent photos. In the meantime to shut everyone up about my photos I have reloaded the one I removed from my profile when Mel and Julie said it was ugly. So go for your lives cronies, looking at my photo will give you more insults to throw at me and relieve boredom with and throw at me, that should keep you entertained for awhile. Mary you'll need to supply an Olympic Pool for Doreen, her daughter said Doreen would need an olympic pool to throw up in to look at my photo, like mother like daughter! |

| Mary You accuse me of being a liar, well if that's the best you can do I'm happy because at least I haven't USED anyone like you have done for your own advantage and then dumped them, I'm not referring to me. You were a moderator but your never wanted to attend any of the Get-togethers we had on a weekend or the Casino get-togethers yet you have put your name down to attend the get-together Mel is arranging this month at the casino. I haven't said anything to anyone about you apart from you know who has asked where you are. I've kept it quiet because I didn't want others to be hurt that you would go out of your way to attend a get-together with people you don't know but wouldn't do so for them. We had 2 get-togethers at the Casino restaurants along with other weekend get-togethers and you were well enough to do so but chose not to. |

| Mary / Angel_of_scuba I can accept your decision in wanting to end what I thought was a friendship but you had me conned, it wasn't a friendship at all considering all the b1tching that was going on behind my back about me with you and Christine that you caouldn't ring me to say or tell me face to face yet you called me a coward. You've dumped me, no loss there, one door closes another two opens but what saddens me is you've dumped people who were supporting you before and after your banding journey. You haven't even attempted to contact them off line and haven't shown the slightest interest in what has become of them. A couple have had their band removed and are now sleeved and one is having their band removed and will be sleeved by our doctor this month. And one of them who has been thinking of banding even before you joined the group and often came to week day lunch get-togethers so you should know who I am talking about is now sleeved, I'm only talking about the long term people who have helped you over the years. |

| That's hilarious Col, you are so predictable I knew you would think that. Nah I don't threaten I carry them out or do the best to my ability until I hit a brick wal. Trust me I would have done it instead of posting here like they did, that would have been easy for me to do, no legal procedures involved there for me. I can't even recall the person saying they were going to report you, I think you might be having yourself on. Lilly gave us instructions on how to get the ISP numbers of posts. At the time Lilly gave us step by step instructions how to get the the ISP numbers of posts. Give those to your manager because it says on the ISP where it is located, for example mine says'Gold Coast' and I feel very comfortable in saying I doubt very much they would belong to a GC server or even Brisbane server, that would have to be a fluke in a large country like ours, it could have been someone in Australia anywhere. I didn't even see the original post but tomorrow I'm going to do some looking to see if I can find it. I'm curious now. I only knew about it from the person who pulled you up on it, not from you. |

| The manager and I no longer work in aviation but he still has close friends within Aviation including the chairman, board, defence officers, legal counsel team, etc that he became mates with over his forty years in aviation. I was so tempted to let him know what you had posted but I couldn't be bothered so I decided to simply IGNORE your posts in future and not respond when I see you involving yourself in things most men wouldn'. | I have not responded to you for ages since someone on here posted about where you work and how you posted about a VIP defence aircraft landing where you work. I used to work in aviation and was Personal Assistant to a Regional Manager, his responsibility was to prevent aircraft from dropping out of our skies over 3 States. I was horrified to read someone's post saying you had breached the nation's confidentiality and security, I don't know what thread your original post was on but I read someone having a go at you on a thread where you butted in on a stoush that had nothing to do with you and they said what you had originally posted. In government/ivil aviation all staff have to sign privacy confidentiality agreements at the commencement of employment agreeing that what went on in aviation wasn't discussed to media etc, only the delegated officers have the right to discuss it publically, especially what is filed on Confidential, Secret or Top Secret files and I know for a fact the information on the plane you were referring to, it's information would have been on at the very least a Confidential file or Ministerial file.
