Kym,

I agree with me211167.
My last 2 fills have made all the difference for me.
I am really happy with the amount of fill I have.
But it certainly has restricted what I can eat, I wouldn't even consider eating bread now.
If ya wanna chat you can e-mail me.

Cheers

Kym, I have 7ml in mine and there is a huge difference to what I can eat from when there was 5ml. I can eat bread rolls sometimes other times I cant

Tara,

Has the 7.5ml in your band restricted what you can eat as in regard to what will get through any further than at 5ml?

Re:Brisbane Bandsters?? Reply to this message
On one of the band message boards I saw someone say they can still eat and swallow bread rolls but now I can't remember which message board nor find the post.
Can anyone swallow them? One mouthful i had in a food court left me heaving for 30mins and then I managed to vomit it up but all over my shirt.

Hey Nicole,

Welcome !!
We would love to see you at on of the Milton Meet ups - they are a fountain of information and knowledge.
And SO much fun!!
Next one should (?) be on the 19th July but check in closer to get the correct date.
You'll be starting your Opti soon - are you getting excited? (of course, not about doing the Opti)

Re:Brisbane Bandsters?? Reply to this message
kym
you can do it hon ,
its a journey that can make us feel bad/and disgusted with our selves for getting this way
but it can work with our assistance ,
mostly, we have tried every thing before resorting to this ,
at times it gets us down ,but with support and a few supporters
lifes ,so much easier on this journey ,
all our Brisbane group are very supportive
but we all need support at times even at goal,
really the end result is well worth the effort but I also struggled without other s who had done it (had banding)'s,support thats why I re started a support network for ,mainly for Brisbane and surrounding areas, Banded people although anyones welcome ,
take care Doreen

email me if you wish,
take out spaces yahoo adds,
usually between the a and the u

iamdoingit4me@yahoo.com.a u

,email if you need achat add aphone contact and I will ring you take care ,Doreen great

Re:Brisbane Bandsters?? Reply to this message
Kym,

You sound like you're doing it tough at the moment.
Do you have the support of a good surgeon, dietician, counsellor and support group??
Or are you all on your lonesome? It's so hard on your own.
Are you coming along to our next meet up ??
Anyway big hugs from me.

Re:Brisbane Bandsters?? Reply to this message
Thanks Doreen,

I will be there I think.
Providing of course I don't just get the fluid removed from band and return to eating what I used to because I regret the op.

Hi there....

I am in Sydney, but I can assure you that those Brisbane Babes are the most wonderful and welcoming people you will meet. They are a great support network to the Brisbane bandits.

Glad you are home and on the road to the new you. Rest up and take it easy for a few days.

Best wishes... Mel
