| Hi Meg Welcome to the boards. I hope that you can ignore all the issues that are going on with a certain member of the boards at the moment... Glad to hear that you have made the decision to be banded. It is the best decision i've ever made for myself.. How did you find your first shake? Pretty feral huh?? well, keep at it... in the 2 weeks i did on opti before my first surgery, i lost 13kgs!! It was incredible! There are some really experienced people on this board that are here to help you.. but there are also some toxic ones as well.. Pyretta has a wealth of information as she has been through it all and is, in my opinion, the queen of optifast! We are having a get together in May at the Gold Coast if you are interested in coming along to meet some other bandsters. Doreen (doingitforme) is generally the one who does the Brisbane get togethers. Another site that you may find helpful is www.brisbanebandsters.com (take out any spaces). | Hiya all, Has anyone played or seen the children's game HUNGRY HIPPOS? Well, that is what Leanne, aka weirdo from the Goldcoast, reminds me off, 100%. In the game you are a hippo (but for the purpose of my post, we will all imgaine Leanne to be the Hippo)....anyway, as a hippo you then proceed to open your big hippo mouth and grab as many white balls as you possibly can, before anyone else (or rather before the other hippo's) can grab them. So, there she is Leanne, or Hippo - snatching furiously at all the white balls (also known as Normal People Posting on the Forum with differing views to her)...until all the white balls (or posters) are gone, consumed...eaten. So, with hungry leanne, or hungry hippos in mind, Please Leanne, my Hippo friend - go back and wallow in your own goldcoast mud bath and shut yer gob. Julie |

| Woo hoo so that gives me carte-blanche to repeatedly advertise ads for my three forums everyday - separate ads for each of them on the TWO Brisbane threads. Thank you. Out of curiosity when I have time I'm going to look at every page on this thread and count how many times I've advertised any forums since this thread started, I might have to make up for lack of advertising. Please note that until last week I have never BRAGGED like the new Brisbane group is already doing by posting how many members each of those groups have because EVERYONE knows the number of members registered on a forum is not reflective of how many members are active-members. I'm a member of probably over sixty forums - 40 are weight loss surgery forums, but I only go to them once every six months or so if at all. For example Gold Coast Bandsters has 97 members but only about twenty post and about ten to twenty attend get-togethers. Ozband has 2913 members but only about 100 actively post. People join groups for a looky see and then move on forgetting to unsubsribe from the group. That's what happens with EVERY forum. |
