| Mel Blame chookle for my response to you, I'll post THE TRUTH when I have time tonight or tomorrow but in the meantime:- I didn't agree with what you said because you've made it clear Maree LIED & contrary to what you believe, like all humans Sydband people do LIE! Seems Maree started a nasty rumour instead of stating the facts. To think Maree says "I despise gossip", she's a gossip and rumour creator! You've said her reason for me being in bed on Sunday and missing the get-together, ask her (or even better get her to post here like the "jungle drums" got Therese to do) why I was in bed all day at her place the Friday before that Sunday when she, Cheryl and others from Sydband went to Circular Quay to have lunch at a seafood restaurant. I'd love to hear her reasoning for that one! Also ask her why I had laryngitis, I'd love to hear that reasoning too, my mind boggles. The whole 4 nights and days I was at her place I could barely speak or when I could it would come out in a very high pitch squeak. She and Cheryl haven't even heard my natural voice! The last thing I wanted was to go to the grotty club on Saturday night where her beloved Samoans hang out but I had no choice! I'd been to that Club before when I lived in Sydney but I'd only go there for work lunches, I avoided it like the plague at night because I knew how rough it was. You said to email you Mel, I won't be emailing you. Even though you call me the Copy and Paste Queen, why would I want to do that when you stole my crown and copied and pasted all my emails on here, I may as well do it here and save you the trouble of doing it. | For those thinking, why am I responding to the dumb chookle after all this time instead of ignoring her (especially Christine who thinks it's so easy to ignore attackers but hasn't been in the position of constantly being attacked for no reason) it's because chookle says I'm dumb but the fact is chookle is so dumb she doesn't know when to stop or heed her own words. I've been ignoring her's and Mel' posts for over a week to encourage peace/harmony on the board. However it's clear Chookle doesn't know what the word 'peace' means preferring to swipe at me on 2 other threads. Chookle knew what "the deal" was - for the record it was ONE CONDITION (not a deal) offered to Mel and her gang of bullies but you're so dumb you've misconstrued it again. What I said was - "Mel I have NEVER promised that I will never post an attack to you again prior to last week but then you continued to make indirect swipes at me. I am offering that promise to you AGAIN. Mel, I promise that I will never post an attack to you again ON CONDITION that you & your gang of bullies don't attack me directly or indirectly. If you & your bullies actually do accept the condition & make no further swipes I won't have to ignore you at all because there won't be any nasty comments or indirect swipes too ignore!" So what do you do chookle, continue to make direct swipes at me instead of shutting up & minding your own business. I addressed/directed it to Mel, I don't care what you do one way or the other because you are so insignificant to me, I have no intention of responding to any of your posts whether they are positive or negative. As I said before, you're just a new kid on the block of cronies, not worthy of wasting my time on. You have even betrayed the cronies (your friends??) by exposing them for talking about me on Facebook. I've known this for years, not Facebook specifically but emails, phone calls and - "jungle drums" as one of them calls it. They didn't need you to betray them, with a friend like you who needs enemies. Just goes to show how desperate they are for friends to need you as a "friend" and I use the word "friend" loosely. |

| Hi Dear meg8409 Am just now reading your post from Tues. and am wanting to inspire confidence & peace in you re Dr Bowden & his team. Let me second what Doreen has said... you will be in good hands. I found Dr Bowden to be so very kind and caring and continue to be grateful for the care given by his team... My experience has been a good one. And yes, I too remember music being put on just before I went to sleep... it was Nana Mouskouri (?spelling).. Blair Bowden's choice. I joked about it with him. Also I remember the friendly banter btn surgeon, assistant surgeon & myself just before I was off to sleep. They do their best to put you at your ease. You'll be OK. They know what they are doing. | Hi Tash, Thanks for asking about me, I'm so glad to hear your experience so far has been a good one. That really adds to the confidence I already have in Dr Bowden and his team, any time I have negative thoughts about the surgery I remind myself that I have a really good surgeon, dietician and psychologist and that calms me down. I'm on Day 6 opti now and I'm actually going really well I've totally surprised myself. I'm not sure if I've lost any weight yet as I haven't got any decent scales at the moment, but I'm not really focusing too much on the weight loss right now, just the liver shrinking thing. I'll have to think about the song I want played when I'm going to sleep now. ABBA's a great idea - maybe SOS! Seems appropriate haha. I will definitely try to come to a Bandster meeting post-op. | I too am very saddened by all the fires and death and destruction happening in Victoria at the moment. 130 people dead and still counting... it certainly puts everything into perspective! Whilst I think it is a great idea that all you ladies are planning to bury the hatchet and be nice to each other.... I have to admit... I do have a bit of a chuckle at some of the things you say to each other! You are all quite a witty bunch... some of your comebacks to each other are really quite funny! Leanne, you seem to be a very clever lady and you will be a HUGE help to people once you use your intelligence for good and turn away from "the dark side"! I am amazed at your ability to recall things from years ago, I have trouble remembering things from last week and I am younger than you (if I am to believe previous postings). Leanne, I don't think you should have to change your ID, your recent change in attitude should suffice! Everyone.... please forget the past... it is just that... in the past! Accept each other for who you are now... be nice to each other and if a post offends you, just ignore it! I'm sure you will all enjoy the boards a lot more yourselves when everyone is pleasant to each other. (Or perhaps secretly you are all frustrated wanna be boxers who enjoy a good spaing match!) I personally would love to hear more about the success some of you "old timers" (not in age but in band age) have had and how it has changed your life! | I had another fill last Friday and FINALLY the Band Fairies have visited and I have restriciton! Woo hoo! The first thing I ate 4 hrs after the fill was a few of my sons Mc Donald chips. I forgot about the band and just did my usual chew chew swallow.... then a few second later .... OMFG!!! the pain! It was worse that the post op pain when I first took some tablets! Luckily it did not last long! But it has taught me a valuable lesson! I still think I will need a little more fill next time, but not much hopefully. I now have 4.5 mls in a 7ml band. Hopefully soon the scales will start to move in the right direction! Good luck to all the newbies about to be banded, just a word of warning.... do not expect instant results. I did and was very disappointed when it initially didn't seem to be working, so ate too much of the wrong things and put on the 5kg I had managed to lose on the optifast! This is a lifelong lifestyle change and does not always provide a quick fix, particularly if your surgeon follows the manufactureres rules and fills the band slowly. good luck to all. |

| Thanks for refreshing my memory Leanne. I've never been to her myself... but a lady I know who lost 55kg with her band swears by her. My surgeon likes to do the fills himself, he bulk bills them. No, I have never met you, but I know plenty who have and plenty who did spend time with you here in Sydney and I can assure you, they do not lie... and yes, I am repeating stories they have told me about you. I will leave you to it now... but remember, I do know people who did socialise with you here in Sydney on two occasions when you were here in Sydney. You would have met me if you had not spent the day in bed at M's house because of a rather big night the evening before, her words, not mine.
