| hi guys, Wow cinni, its great you have your date....you wont regret the decision to have the sleeve...i have now lost 19kg in 10 weeks ( 3 opti 7 since op) I feel fantastic and the compliments are rolling in....lol I wont fit out a doorway soon with my big head...lol gem i would love to come for lunch but can only make thursday the 4th sept as on work on tuesdays....so pleasssseeee pick that day...lol Nicole |

| Hello, I am an overweight adult female who is thinking about lap banding. I live in the Bunbury area, am completely sick of yoyo dieting. Recently lost 40kg (with more to lose) now put back on 15. | Hi girls well I got my date today (finally) I am having surgery on the 4th of Sept! YAY! I start opti on the 21st of august so it will all be done in three weeks time! :) Gem won't make it on the 4th sorry hehe. Jo2 so glad you are doing well. Kristy I love diamond shopping. I just loved trying on every ring I spotted that took my eye the possibility of buying was so much fun. My hubby proposed to me in bed one lazy sunday morning, before we had a toddler obviously lol and said I could pick my own ring. I tried on 100's of rings but alas I have short fat fingers and not a lot looked great. I fell in love with one as soon as I tried it on and knew it was the right ring. Here's hoping you get that too! Congrats! |

| Yep Kirsty we were in town then .. Gosh hated those -7 and -6 degree mornings.. And the house we lived in was huge so took 2 open fire and two reverse air cons to heat just the two lounge rooms..But I miss the house soooo much .. Wish I could have taken it with me.. Oh well.. The right ring will feel incredible .. But then you'll try on some more just to make sure ... Then you will know its meant to be yours.. Oh how exciting.. I remember the day we chose mine.. Hubby proposed to me in the car park at Kmart Kalgoorlie ( yep a real romantic)I asked him why there and he just said it felt right ..And he didnt want to wait a minute longer to ask me .. | Hi Jo, you're right, we just have to decide between ourselves and that will be a lot easier to do once we start looking at the rings in the flesh - the rings, not us in the flesh ha ha - what a sight that would be. I'm just like you and reckon I will choose one straight off and look at heaps then come back to that first one - I've been like that my whole life! I hear you on the frozen pipes - year after year. The worst year was when we had -7 and the pipes actually burst - that may have been when you were living here as well. 18kg is awesome - go you good thing! You should be so very proud. Hi Helen, thank you for all your lovely words. It doesn't matter what it costs at all as long as we both like it and it means something to both of us. I don't know about outshining a diamond - maybe a CZ ha ha - but the thought is lovely. Hopefully my weight will start to shift again soon so I can start planning for the wedding dress! | kristy, you love alex and alex loves you who care how much the ring costs if it is 1 dollor or 1,000 dollars do what ever you and alex want be it ruby ,emerald, dimond or qubiczircon you will love and treasure what ever you buy just remember buy it for the 2 of you not for everyone else to see... the bigger the ring dosnt mean the bigger the love , you kristy will out shine any diamond good luck. helen1 |

| Hi Kristy, yes years ago it was said that a man spent 4 weeks wages on a ring, but I think it should be up to the two of you to decide... My engagement ring cost us $475 at the Smales half year sale was 50% off(20 yrs ago) .. I fell in love with it, first one I tried on then after 300 rings later went I want that one,so we paid and we walked out....Hubby wanted to buy a full flower with solitare in the middle with little diamonds all around, but Im not a flower girl so got one thats like a half flower with two diamonds out of place which sounded like us ... Anyway I didnt care about the price it was like love at first sight.. Gosh how exciting that you get to pick out your own ring.. Theres so many to choose from ... Good luck you lucky girl... Collie is such a cold place, glad Im not there anymore .We were there last yr for the frozen pipe times .. Our backyard was flooded when the pipe frozen and split.. Not nice on a saturday when the hardware shops there all closed early.. So a quick drive to Bunbury was called for.. Well Im doing good girls.. Still officially on mushies for another week.. Have been eating ok can tolerate nearly everything.. Havent put any weight on so still at the 18 kilos lost .. Getting a fill on the 27th and cant wait... OK this is long enough will get going now .. | Hi Girls, thank you all so much for your wishes - you have no idea how much they mean. Maaaaaaaaaaan, why is it so quiet in here? Is everybody hibernating? It was -0.5 here at 7.00 AM but that's the coldest this year - we haven't even had frozen pipes yet (thankfully). I have a general query to ask you, my learned, wise and wonderful bandits ... what's the story with engagement rings? Is it still the old 4 weeks wages guideline? Alex is cringing every time I ask him how much we can spend. I don't want to be greedy, I just want something that looks nice and means something to both of us. My heart wants a solitaire - just because they are so incredibly simple and beautiful (like me ha ha ha) but I have seen some really stunning settings that weren't over the top in price too. I guess I just need to decide what exactly I want. Did anyone actually put their own money towards their ring? Hope to hear from you soon. Kristy xo |
