Hi Jo

That will be something hubby remembers for the rest of his life for sure! Not a bad thing though - he may have been responsible for saving his son's life. The shock will wear off, don't worry, life will eventually return to normal.

Re:South West Slimmers Reply to this message
Oh Jo I bet you are glad to have him home and safe! Lets hope the surgeon worked his magic and he regains full use of his hand. He sounds very lucky considering the damage, wow.

I thought the meet was 12 o *** tomorrow, so was going to post that I will be a bit late, but it looks like I will be quite late. I have an appiontment at 11:20am tomorrow. I will still come and see if anyone is there still (I want a piece of chocolate cake before I go on opti on thurs hehe) but I could be about an hour or so late.

Re:South West Slimmers Reply to this message
Thanks guys for your well wishes .. Our baby is now home ..
He ended up cutting 3/4 thru his thumb and pointer finger tendons.. And fully thru the index finger, He also cut thru the nerves in all 5 fingers plus the artery to his hand and the large tendon in his wrist.. The surgeon said it was very nasty in there.. He wont have feeling in his hand for about 6 months, and we wont know the full damage for up to 12 months.. So hes in a plaster for the next 12 weeks then a splint for 12 weeks after that .. It was very touch and go when it all happened because he was bleeding so much... Just makes you realise how quickly you can lose someone you love... So thanks again guys...

Not sure if Ill be there tomorrow but will see how we go .. My parents arrive tomorrow too help us out..

Re:South West Slimmers Reply to this message
hi chill.eight,

Im not sure who your talking to but yes we in WA an get the lapband in the public system. The $100 excess is probably from a private dr. I had the gastric sleeve op 7 weeks ago and neither my dr or the anaethesist had a gap fee so yes i did only pay $100 excess to the hospital (private)

Re:South West Slimmers Reply to this message
Hi lovely folk! Sorry I haven't been around for a while. Life is crazy!

Well, I got my dream ring - it is sooooooooo gorgeous. It's a bit big but hell would have frozen over before someone could make me leave the jewellers without it on my finger! I have a keeper but really need to get it resized soon as I'm paranoid about losing it. Alex is really happy too as I bought him something special he can wear close to his heart and I got Sam a sterling silver surf ring that hasn't come off his finger since he put it on. Last week in our house was hilarious as we were having a major "bling off"!

Weight still not moving - but then neither am I! Freezing temps don't make for an inspired early morning walk especially when the dogs refuse to move from their warm spots. The days have been beautiful and I'm looking forward to getting the kayaks out on the water again and going for a wander through the wildflowers that are just starting to show their pretty faces.

I hope you are all well and happy and look forward to catching up soon for a good natter. This time of year is the busiest at work for me but should start to calm down in Term 4.

Ciao for now and thank you for all your lovely wishes, Kristy =)
