| Hey there girls and guys Im back from getting my first fill.. The dr asked me to lay on the table he had a pillow to go under my tummy ( to push my tummy out) he could feel my port ..Washed my tummy with the wipe then in and fill and out.. It was over and I didnt feel anything.. I couldnt believe he had already done it .. I was so nervous and feeling so sick for nothing.. Even my hubby couldnt believe it happened so quickly.. He made me sit up and drink a cup of water, which went down fine... We went shopping after and I felt a bit hungry so had a poached egg.. And I was full.. No drinking for 30 mins after eating ... So hopefully my weightloss is going to go up and up from here.. So I have lost 19.5 kilos and have 5 mls in my 10 ml band.. Next fill is in 8 weeks.. Bit scared to eat but will take it easy... Jo2 :) |

| hey cinni & all, Hows your opti going? I have had my own for of opti happening... read on | sorry been so quiet...I came down with the dreaded GASTRO on Sunday night. eeewwww Wouldnt wish it on anyone.. even after losing 3 kg with it. hehe I guess you could call it carma after being so excited over not haveing to do OPTI! Well this time next week I should be banded. Starting to feel really scared now. Still dont want gastro every week to lose weight thought hehe. How is everyone? Gem |

| Thanks Helen I am doing ok! Feeling a lot better although I still want to eat hehe. I am day 6! I haven't heard news from Apra yet but I have all the paperwork to them ad the guy I rang said to ring back tomorrow. Fingers crossed I should know soon. How is everyone else going? Cinni |

| Thats ok Cinni thats what we are here for .. I was grumpy , p issed off and yes very cold( still am) So your doing great ... Ben is doing good.. Hes got finger exercises to do .. But he isnt allowed to move his fingers on their own only by moving them with his other hand.. Hes got to rest the tendons and muscles.. I got onto the person who owned the block of land and ask for it to be cleaned up and all the sheet metal to be removed.. I spoke to him on friday night and he came today and did it .. He was very sorry but in the end it wasnt his fault.. The fencing company had left all the leftover sheet metal lying around .. But we are taking it one day at a time.. Hes got 3 differnt appointments each week with different specialist for the next few months.. Fun fun fun ... Thanks for asking mate... Jo2:) |

| Cinni for the first 4 days of Optifast I had bad headaches and felt really dizzy... Just remember after a few days it will be over and so worth it when you jump on the scales... You doing good girl.. We are here if you want to chat .. Jo2 :) |

| Hey Donna yep we made it home thanks! It was great to meet you! I really enjoyed last night, it is so nice to put some faces to the names. :) Gem Gem Gem how the hell did you get out of opti??? I am sitting here with the headache from hell and I think it is the opti doing it, not sure it could slso be the fact that APRA rang me and the letters from my doctors were not sufficient for them to release the funds so now I am running around trying to get the letters reworded so they are ok. | Hey all, No way. Not going to cancel lunch. I will see how i am but knowing me will WANT to get out house for a hour anyway even if i am in pain. Cant stand being stuck inside. hehe Oh yeah and NO OPTI! WOOHOO. I was soooo dredding that! Still a little stunned. Thanks Chris for your visit too. was nice to share the news too. | Great news Gem, You will be banded before you know it!! I seriously doubt you will be okay for lunch on the 4th - I had a very quick recovery with no shoulder pain and no problems - but there would have been no way I would have been up to lunch two days after my op!! Beth |
