If you want to apply for lapband dont ask for bunbury as they are not taking albany people anymore. I may get through only because iof the time I applied. Hmmmm 0.0 degrees here at 8.00 AM and it's now a very pleasant 2.7 degrees. I have been assured the heaters will be on but don't forget to bring a jacket as well. With some of our insulation gone this year, we definitely feel it more! | ashethanandshel Im in Albany. I have been browsing the forums in here for almost a year. I have my name on two lists, Dr W in Bunbury who I have seen back in oct last year but Im still fighting Bunbury hospital to try and get allowed to have the banding done there. Its been a long battle with them and I still have no answer. Im also on Charles Gairdner hospital list but I guess I could die of old age waiting to hear from them. My weight is up and down. When I first had my appointment with Dr W I was pretty upbeat and lost a bit of weight but since the ongoing battle with the system Ive gained some of it back. I cant seem to get motivated and I feel ashamed of myself for it. I go through the southern regional medical group. My usual GP is David mildenhall but it was Dr Tompkins who did the referral for lapband for me. She is very pro the operation. |

| Hi Everyone, Seems like ages since I have been on here - had lots to catch up on! Very jealous of you all getting together tomorrow, but I have to work and thats all there is to it!! Life has been ticking along okay for me - weight is not going anywhere - have actually put on 3kgs since i had some fill out at the beginning of April. not happy but I have been eating lots of bad foods - just coz i can!!LOL So i need to get back on track and get to goal - only had 5kgs to go, but now its back up to 8kg. I have also been very slack on the exercise front - I put on my gym clothes every morning but seem to get sidetracked before i actually get there!! So girls what i really need is a big kick up the backside!!!! I am feeling the cold so much this year, have been layering on the clothes but still always seem to be cold. Have fun tomorrow Beth |

| hi all have been a bit quiet this week still trying to sort the computer out .and get my sister off and away to england for 6 months , took her to the plane on teausday night ,so now can get back to my life for a while , have had a pain in my side for a while now ,saw dr n who said it wasnt the band seemed like a lymp gland so i have to see my gp about that,cant wait to see you all on friday ,if you managed to swing a day off Jo can you ring me so you can come with us. Beth you seem to have been a bit quiet lateley everything Ok I hope, A dear freind of mine is coming to your place of work as a patient shortly if she makes it, she has heart failure and will be in high dependantcy,dont think thats the right way to fraze that,her daughter is a busselton person hence the nursing home down there. I was in jocies boutique at eaton fair last week she has some great clothes in and she told me she was getting in a range of larger sizes , I found her prices reasonable THe fact that I bought 14 size top and 16 skirt was great ,yes I actually bought a skirt , the new me is going to be more feminine from now on. must go see you all tomorrow, BYE chris |

| have had problems with my band for a few weeks sure DR W today he took out some fill and said i could have a band slip hes giving it a few days to settle and then if it dosnt he will do an endioscope see whats happning ..... not happy chappy . helen1 i so need friday bring it on wonder if anyone will notice if we have a little drinky ..... |

| Hi Gem, Wow, it's good to know the waiting list isn't too long.... I had heard that in Perth it is about 4 years! I don't know if that's true or not, but I'm glad it's nowhere near that long! | Hi Renae, I too have not long started to get this ball rolling. I had my 1st apt with Dr W in May and had apt with Hosp physician on Monday! Next the Dieticians then onto the waiting list, which is apparently 6 months. I going Public. Hopefully will meet you on Friday! Gem |
