| Hi Nicole, glad to hear your home and doing well .. Well done on the weight loss so far.. Its just the start.. Good to hear your not feeling hungry . Wish I could get away from the shop to come see you but had a staff member quit yesterday so need to cover some shifts.. Im sure we will catch up for coffee in the next week or two.. | Yay for Nicole! Oh to never feel hungry, I am always hungry! Hope everyone is having a good time. On a sad note, we bury my lovely second mother-in-law tomorrow. | just a quick message to let you all know im home from hospital, got home yesterday. All went well not to much pain. Spent the last 2 days just lazing on the lounge. The really good news is i havent felt hungry at all i have to force myself to eat at certain times otherwise i would not have enough fluids. I have also lost nearly 3 kg since last thursday. well i will be back in a couple of days to let you know how im going. If anyone wants to come see me it would be good, as my hubby goes back to work tomorrow and i will be home by myself. email me and i will give you my phone number. Nicole |

| I want to thank you all for your advice, I don't know how long I would have been waiting if I waited for the hospital to call me. I have booked in for the physician next monday, and seminar and dietician in sept..... I assume it doesn't matter if I see the physician first??? So I am very very grateful to you all for your support and advice... It's nice to have people around who understand, and I mean really understand - all those skinny ppl out there just don't get it! | Thanks Kristy, I have booked the seminar and the dietician for a few days after the seminar. Im just not sure when the physician comes into it.... The dieticians said that you must go to the seminar before you have the private dietician consult, but Dr W gave me the impression they'd contact me. I guess I'll call tomorrow and see if I can make the appt for the physician, I think Gem said she has already seen the physician, so I guess I'll just get the next available appt when i ring. I know sept is only 8 weeks away, but i don't want to wait!!!!! :oP I hope your friend can find the help she needs. The girls at hudson road are lovely. It's hard to tell, but better times will be ahead XO |

| Thanks so much Renae, that's great info. I'll chase it up and get her some help. Did you get a referral to a dietician and physician? I can't remember if I had to be referred or not. I didn't have to attend a seminar so it's a bit different now. I do recall making an appointment with the dietician as soon as possible after I had seen Dr W and also the physician after that. Did you find anything out from the surgery? If not and the next seminar is in September, I would definitely get the ball rolling with the other appointments and book in as close to the date of the seminar as possible. Kristy =) PS. September is only really 8 weeks away - we are into the new financial year already ... what happened to last Christmas? |

| Hi Kristy, There is a support groups for mum's on Monday mornings, it used to be every week, but i think it's fortnightly or monthly now, at Hudson Road clinic. I went there when my youngest was a baby. Also, through the child health clinic, was put in touch with Sharon Binnie who can do home visits etc and can direct you in the right direction to get the help required. She used to be at the prosser st child health ctr, but also hudson road, so one of them should be able to locate her. The Red Cross also can come out and help with the care of the kids etc one morning a week. Hope this helps..... Im off to call the hospital!!! Renae |

| Hi everyone, I need some advice from you Bunbury ladies with local knowledge. A friend of mine has an 18 month old, is heavily pregnant with her second child and recently lost her Mum, just 4 days after being diagnosed with cancer. She's struggling really badly and is reaching out for help, but apart from imparting my own pearls of wisdom, where can I direct her for help? Having you guys has helped me so much with accepting who I am, what I look like, my confidence etc etc etc ... is there something like this for Mums in Bunbury? I would love to put her in touch with other mothers of toddlers so she can see how normal her reactions and feelings are. I've been in touch with Milligan House who directed me to Community Health, but let's face it, sometimes these boards are a bit of a secret to the wider community. I also checked out some other yahoo forums in the hope of turning up some local stuff, but nothing obvious came up in my search. Looking forward to some answers soon. Thanks to you all. Kristy xo |

Last night I was putting butter on my toast (have recently discovered I can eat toast yippee!) and I was thinking about the fat in the butter and feeling guilty ... how come I don't feel like that when stuffing my face with copious amounts of chocolate? | Renae ring the hospital and ask to be put through to Primary health (the dieticians) then ask to be booked into the next available seminar. Ask to book an appointment with the dietician for after the seminar also. I am in Dalyellup but I am not banded yet. :) |

| Hi Renae, I to are in the process of the hospital stuff through Dr W. A little advice... call the hospital NOW! Book your appointment with the Physician and the Dieticians as i had to wait 7 weeks before i could get into the dieticians seminar. If you going public you have to do the hospital seminar then also go to a private appointment with the dietician plus the physician! Gem..from Busso |
