BREAKFAST - Small skinny cappuccino (ok, ok - 2 small skinny cappuccinos)

MORNING TEA - 97% fat free greek yoghurt with apples, walnuts and cinnamon

LUNCH - 2 little baby cold rolls with rice, chicken and avocado & one Inari

AFTERNOON TEA - Instant coffee with skim milk

DINNER - pretty much 1 cup of home made Chilli Con Carne with heart smart beef mince and organic kidney beans, ate that with 1.5 taco shells to dip and maybe a TBS sour cream and a shave of fresh parmesan.

I was gonna have a decaf skinny cappuccino in a minute - but I am a little concerned about HOW MUCH coffee I have had today… hmm..

Re:A Typical Banded Day - A Food Diary Reply to this message
2 x cuppa soup
tablespoon wasabi peas (yummmmmm)
3 x cracker with cheese
1 x hot chocolate

Im eating around 1400 calories a day. Reducing or increasing this has made no difference to the amount of weight im losing. Im also taking vitamins.
very frustrating!

does anyone have a web page where you can input your details and it tells you how many calories minimum you need to eat to lose maximum weight??

Col is right,
you should be able to eat good, wholesome nutritious food.the idea of the band is to eat less not nothing.
you need to let your surgeon know..good luck.

Shypuggy....Are you telling your surgeon that you can't eat normally?.Why are you getting fills if you are unable to get solid food down?.You have to be able to eat normally..ie vegis, fruit and some meats and for the foods to make you feel full after your 1/2 to 1 cup amount...not be over restricted and unable to eat proper foods. Have a chat with him/her and you may just need a small amount back out to give you normallacy with the band...good luck.....Col

Re:A Typical Banded Day - A Food Diary Reply to this message
Hi,
I have been banded for 10 weeks now and still having trouble eatting. I can only still eat mushy foods, eg 1/2 small can tinned spagetti, 1/2 weetbix, etc unble to eat more than a 1/3 cup and no solid food. eg vegis, fruit meat. I have had 2 fills. Just wondering is this normal. you all seems to have almost normal eatting patterns.
thanks heaps
debbie

Re:A Typical Banded Day - A Food Diary Reply to this message
Brekky - a half of bacon and egg toasted sandwich
Snack - 1 small skim milk cap
Lunch - 1ham and tomato roll (which I regretted half way thru
Dinner - 1 piece of bread (which I regret) and 1 optislim low cal meal.

I have decided that bread doesnt agree with me unless its toasted.

Tip about pain relief:

I am 2 yrs banded and I am bad with Pain.... I used Pain stop from the chemist, its for children and liquid....contains coedine. I think you can get a night time version that helps you sleep or a daytime one.

Re:A Typical Banded Day - A Food Diary Reply to this message
karen,

the shoulder pain lasted about 5 weeks for me. I found the only thing that helped was lying down on my left side - which i had to do for hours each day and it made the rest of my body sore too!

it goes away eventually.. but dont expect it to be gone in a day or two ;)

Hi Karen,

Don't give up, I found the wheat pack, degas tablets and pain killers really helped. The shoulder tip pain was the worst part of it for me. Walking and movement made the shoulder tip pain so much worse for me. But I Would imaigine if the gas was in the other end walking would be great.

Good luck

Arn

Re:A Typical Banded Day - A Food Diary Reply to this message
Karen, try peppermint tea, worked for me.

Also think I read it on the board somewhere as well.

I used panamax elixir because I just couldn't handle the soluable stuff or the tablets, capsuals.
