Arn,
here you go with high protein foods, you have to use a bit of common sense with it, as it has pastry and few other things there that you wouldn't want to eat a lot of. of course in moderation, but you were looking for snacks.
so go easy on the sauces gravies etc.

The answer to hunger: protein, protein, protein. I tend to give the carbs a big miss these days. Not possible to eliminate them altogether, of course, but I have learned to minimise them.

I absolutely LOVE carbs, but they are my worst enemy. I find once I get the taste for them, there is no stopping. They seem to perpetuate hunger and the desire for food.

Judith

It doesn't sound like very much food to me.

try a few snacks so you aren't starving when it comes to dinner time.
I find that if I am starving I then eat too quickly and end up with a blockage.
I try to have some dry biscuits, or a bit of spread, or half a tangerine, so by the time I am cooking i am not ravenous.
you are doing okay. don't forget your water also.
I was told that Powerade sugar free is good as it has the correct amount of electrolytes in it.

hi I need help,(i think)
dont know if I'm eating enough/too much
I had my first fill 4ml on wednesday.

Brekky for me is half weetbix(cant handle any more)
Morning tea - coffee
Lunch - 2 riveta with sm tin tuna (still hungry)
afternoon tea - cup tea
and when it comes to dinner I feel empty and think I could eat anything.
Is it all in my mind or should I be eating more during the day

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated

Thanks all, Yes I guess we are so used to counting and measuring and stressing over food, and it is not very easy to let go of it. I do feel so much better than what I did, so I should really just enjoy that and not stress too much. I guess I am stressing because the weight has come to a stand still, but maybe it will start up again with this second fill.

2nd fill yesterday, but still feel I can eat too much.

Breakfast: 1 Centrum 50+ (cut in half before taking), 3 fish oil capsules, 1 weetbix, 1 tbsp sunflower seeds, milk to cover.

Mid morning: 1 pear (peeled)

Lunch: 3/4 cup lean meatsauce with mushrooms and 1 teaspoon light cheese, 1/4 cup cut up cucumber.

Afternoon: 1 orange

Dinner: steamed pumpkin and light cheese, about 1 cup (or maybe a little less).

1 yoghurt.

I think this is probably too much food, what do you think?

Re:A Typical Banded Day - A Food Diary Reply to this message
I have an increasing list of 'evil foods' list these days, if anyone was interested. I used to post in here religously.

Current restriction 7.0ml in my 11ml band.

Pistachios, nuts before 11am, bread or toast, crackers if eaten quickly, nori (seaweed), apple.

Generally anything can get stuck if I eat too quickly. The art of eating like a mouse cannot be understimated. A great lesson in eating slowly (has been hard for me to learn).

Banded 8 months and have PBed about 7 times to date. Most of those times were recently. Sorry if TMI.

All the best,
Cat

Its a kid guys. I was on here when he was posting. I googled his username which took me to another page of his where he had asked little questions about under 18 things and chemicals for school etc. Hopefully this time it was just a kid trying to cause a stir, but calling crime stoppers was certainly the right thing to do, they will follow it up.

Re:A Typical Banded Day - A Food Diary Reply to this message
at no point did i say it was acceptable, or that it shouldnt be reported.
but ive done enough criminal law at uni to know that unless its proven that a crime has been commited the police cant do anything.
Unfortunately, people cant be investigated or locked up "just in case", even if they have previously commited a crime and been found guilty.
law decrees that you need an order from a judge to find out someones personal details via their IP address (or yahoo in this case). Its illegal for ISPs just to give this information out.
if he had posted pictures of child porn, or stories, or given information about a known crime that had been commited or broken bail conditions - then a judge can give that.
otherwise.... "this is serious, we'll do what we can" is the standard response. Im not saying its not serious, it is... but the best they could do is log the IP address, without finding personal information, which is useless considering most people in the world have static IPs.... and even if he doesnt, its still useless unless he actually commits another crime or tries to.

and whether or not the laws upset you, is irrelevant to what will actually happen... or what wont.

if youre that passionate about it, get into politics and change the laws.

If you dont believe me, call crime stoppers back in a month and ask how the case is progressing. theyre not allowed to tell you obviously - but i bet they dont even have a clue what case youre talking about.

Re:A Typical Banded Day - A Food Diary Reply to this message
lilly,

This may all amount to nothing but a sick joke but it must be reported. I can't believe you are asking what I think Crimestoppers can do? Are you serious????

They have assured me it's a real concern. It's being taken very seriously and they will do what they can.

When someone says they are actively watching children and have been charged previously, they are not talking about thoughts or tendancies!

unfortunately you cant be jailed etc for having those tendacies or telling people that you do. not sure what you think crime stoppers will do... but... yeah... good idea to report it to yahoo to have it removed.

Hi everyone,

Just wanted to let you all know that I have just spoken to Crimestoppers in regards to a vile post here last night. They have taken all appropriate details and I have emailed them a screen shot of the posts.

It's a start and hopefully this sick idiot will receive a nice surprise shortly
