| Hi Phillipa, Good luck with your appointment with Richard tomorrow. Please let me know how you get on? I am seeing him in the Mulgrave rooms on Tuesday. I could very well be put back in hospital for another gastroscopy, steroid and iv fluids. Oh well, we will see how i progress over the next 2 days. I hope you are ok :) Michelle |

| Hi Sammi I meant to reply to your invitation to coffee at Eastland next week (was it the Monday 24th?). I can get there as usual around 2.15pm if you'll still be there. Hi Mandy Good to hear you had such a relaxing holiday - sounds great to me lying around a pool and not doing much - ho hum!! Sammi has suggested coffee at Eastland on (I think?) Monday 24th Sept so if you can make it that would be great. Hey Jane, Bit quiet?? Where are you - not galivanting about town eh?? Hangover?? he he he Hope all is well. Tracey, where are you?? Have you finished your yucky shifts yet? Will you be at the next meeting. Missed you at the last. I meant to tell you I finally got a fill at 10 weeks (2ml) and I don't feel one bit different - still get hungry between meals, but have managed to keep losing weight (through sheer willpower I think! as well as the smaller portions) - have lost 16kg now from start of Optifast and fitting into size 12 pants - still bigger up the top (top heavy) - but need to be doing exercise - haven't done any yet. I actually bought a dance/exercise tape online and it's called 'Dance the inches off - Sizzling Salsa' and was so excited when I got it - as it's latin salsa and I love it but the stinkin' tape freezes halfway through in the same spot each time so now have to return it and ask for another! | Hi Bee Geez you poor thing. Eewwww you must've been in so much pain, can't imagine it - hasn't happened to me (yet anyway) and hope it never does - I would've been panicking for sure - hate vomiting at best of times. What do you think caused it? What had you eaten? Is it because you didn't chew the food properly? Hey, that didnt' impress me about Dr Scott I would've expected much better from him being on-call. Hope you never have to go through that again! Take care and see you at the next meeting eh? I've been on your site and given you a comment - you're doing soooooo well and doing the 1,000 steps - woohoo! |

| Hi Terrie, I've been reading about your infection troubles. Are you under the care of Dr Ivan Stratov? If so he is a wonderful and thorough doctor. I had a PICC line earlier this year for a staph infection in my sinuses. I too had hospital in the home at Knox and they were wonderful. | Hi all Terrie poor thing, what caused that? I hope you are feeling a lot better soon, take it easy. Terri my holiday was nice and my husband and kids are still alive so they found the cooker! Very restful, nothing to do much except swim in the pool and sit in the sun, back to reality now. I brought myself back another recruit who is going to live with us for a year (my nephew who is 16), I think my holiday will soon be a distant memory.... Reading back I hope Shelly and Helen have great holidays. Can't remember what else I read, the sun has fried my brain, but you all seem to be doing pretty well. I hope to make any coffee meets coming up, let me know if you have organised any. Take care Mandy |

| OMG Terrie, At least the PICC lines are more secure than the little IVs and they can stay in a long time... freaky to have though. The hospital in the home nurses are really nice and helpful. I been having a few pain problems over the weekend and will have to go back to see the dr tomorrow. I hope it is just something straight forward! Good night all Phillipa |

| Hi Everyone Mandy glad to have you back. Thanks for the well wishes everyone. Well I`m still really sick Iv`e got hosp, in the home coming every day. I`ve got abad infection in my back internally so after my veins have cllapsed seven times they have put in a picc line in for the IV antibiotics .They say it`s going to take months to clear up ,I just need to rest. | Hi all Just to say I'm back and look forward to reading back and catching up on how you have all been going. I had a very nice and restful holiday, even better was that I think I have put on less than a kilo even with some fill out so that's a good result (and a surprise I can tell you!). | Hi Terri, and Phillipa, I am feeling better now, it wasnt something i could just sit and relax with, just to breathe hurt, and i couldnt even swallow my own salvia. So I tried going to sleep for a few hours, so my body could sort itself out, and decided if i woke up the same, i would definatly go to the valley, as Im on important medication 4 times a day, and just couldnt keep it down. Luckily when I woke up, I was able to swallow again, although my throat is very sore, because in the end it wasnt like PBing...it was realy vomitting. And I agree with you Phillipa, I am not impressed AT all by Dr Scott's response, he is the on call doctor, and should have more proffesionalism than I got Thanks for your help guys! Bee |

| Bee, I spoke with Dr Scott - well initially left an message and rang him back 1 1/2 hours later as he hadn't got back to me... So I sugggest go to the valley and they will take some fliud out in emergency. I must admit I wasn't impressed with his ability to get back to me....I will be having a word with Richard on Monday... | Bee, I haven't had this happen, but try to relax and keep calm, stress will only make you worse.....I would probably try to get hold of Dr Scott and insist on talking to him, if only to put your mind at ease. Perhaps the shifts have changed now and the b#+ch nurse has gone for the day! I would think that in time your pain will probably pass, try not to eat or drink anything else. What did you eat? | Im in so much pain! I ate something and it went down the wrong way, Ive been throwing up for over 3 hours now, and cant keep anything down, not even liquids! I rang esv, and Dr Scott was on call, so I rang him, and got some rude er nurse, who said to go to the valley....but i dont know what to do, it hurts so bad, has anyone had this happen? will it sort itself out if i leave it for a while? bee |

| Brian, Did you ralise that some of the original cast form the 1988 film were in it. John Waters the writer and director of the first film was the flasher at the start and Ricki lake who played Tracy in the original was one of the talent scouts st the end! JT did look good, excellent prothestics (sic?) and in fac the two voluptous characters lloked healthier than Michelle Pfeiffer did - far tooo skinny.
