Evening everyone,

Terri, let me see if I got this right....there wasn't enough water in the bed and you were having a hot flush and tried to unstick yourself from the bed whilst turning and coughing????....ahah..... Hope your feeling better. ;-)

Kate nearly time......

Christmas shopping!!!!!!!!! AAAAHHHHHGGGGGG!!!!!!!

I asked the kids today what they wanted for christmas and they had no idea. Now....either....they are spoilt rotten and have everything they could ever want......or they are little angels and don't want to say so it will be a surprise and anything I get them will be great......I'm going with the first option. Christmas cards.......maybe I could send the ones that I wrote out last year and never got around to sending?????? I'm sure no one has moved. he he he he he

Sad news.......I won't be able to make Monday night as the son is in a new basketball team and they train Monday nights in Ferntree Gully at 8.30pm - 9.30pm.......yuk!!! I will miss you all. I was looking forward to the catch up and meeting the newbies. If anyone remembers say hi to Laurie for me.

Best go and get the hubby off to work and might go and bring in that washing. Should still be dry.

Night night

Kate,

I agree with you about the optifast.
When I had to do it preop I wasn't really into, I am now thinking that was because I "had" to do it. Now I don't mind the odd optifast and actually have it most days for a quick breaky....... funny how when its your choice things aren't so bad!!!!!

Terri, you tricker, can't get enough of us eh?????

See ya when I am looking at you all!!!

Hi Sharon,
The optifast isnt to bad. I have gotten used to it(am i mad or what??) My nerves are now starting to kick in. My sister inlaw and 9 month old niece are taking me to the hospital tomorrow so Mollie(niece) will keep my mind of things when we get there.
See you on the other side. Hope to meet you all soon.

Kate

Hi Phillipa

I hope thats it the 'finishing the chrissy shopping' that made you feel ill, not my description of lunch.

My Christmas shopping is driven by pure fear. I hate going anywhere near the shops in December, and with the op not much over a week away, I want everything finished beforehand.

Good on you Jane, doing Christmas cards. I always plan to do them during long cold winter nights, but it never happens. Still, if I'm off work for 2 weeks late Nov the timing is perfect. My friends will wonder whats going on when they receive them before dec 24th *LOL*.

Hello all, it seems we have all got busy this weekend.

I even wrote out and addressed my christmas cards today (OMG). The only thing left for today is to go through the cupboards and search for what I have purchased over the year and start writing lists for what I have to buy next weekend in preparation for xmas.

Sue, Congrats on getting all your shopping done, you go girl.

Just waiting for the girl t go to sleep so I can get on with the next project.

Oh and I was good for dinner, everyone had pizza and I got subway. How expensive is subway, only had it a few times in my life but not cheap at all.

Anyhoo, I will see all those that can make it tommorrow night.

Re:Knox Hospital bandits - Melbourne Reply to this message
Phillipa,
I'm going tomorrow night, looking forward to it.

Our work Christmas break up this year is Yum Cha, I have
only ever been once before, and it all seemed to be different, large dim sim looking things....is that normal,
I know I have trouble eating steamed dim sims, so am not
looking forward to it....am I right, or is there usually
a variety that us bandters can cope with ????

Garry,
Ho Ho Ho, Ho is an american term, as usual what happens
there usually follows on down under. All pretty stupid
if you ask me!!! Catch you tomorrow night.

Shelly,
Ross is fine......I think my problem was a combination of
not having enough water in the waterbed, coughing and cause
I'm an old bag suffering night sweats. Tried to unstick myself from the bed, turn and cough all at once. Something
had to give, was the back. Taken it easy today, feeling
.much better thanks!!!!!
Mwa Mwa Mwa.

Shaz,
You say the sweetest things !!!!!

Glad Michelle is feeling better.

Love to everyone else, c u tomorrow hopefully

Terri xx

Hi Bee
Sorry can't help you re the blockage - that's actually the first I've heard about it from you and Phillipa (re Craig). Like Phillipa said how do you work these 'fills' out, ie feeling less restriction but having more fill in!!! Don't get it really. It's just all trial and error I think. Good luck and hope someone else can help.

Re:Knox Hospital bandits - Melbourne Reply to this message
Sue,

You make me feel ill! LOL

have usually done heaps of shopping but I have "other things" happening this year and shopping has been the last thing on my mind - apart from not being paid for 12 weeks I might have to cancel Christmas at out house! There may be not HO HO or HA HA at out place this year! LOL

As it is we have had to cancel the holiday to Byron Bay beacuse of the time of work and pay.... Next year when we look stunning!

Even when it is the busy holiday time of the year for holidays - when you cancel and you still have to pay to cancel - they are going to sell your plane seat and hire out your cabin... but oh well.:-(

I am her and getting healthier - I suppose that is what really counts.

I saw Michell in hospitaltoday - she is eating soft foods and not in pain, so looking good!

See some of you tomorrow night!

Hi Sue
Congrats on finishing the assignment - whoo hoo! Like Helen said now you concentrate on you and your health and wellbeing. Fantastic that you've lost all those kilos and haven't found Optiyuk so bad!!! Good for you. Shame about not being able to come to meeting but never mind there'll be plenty more and coffee catch ups etc.
Keep up the good work.

Re:Knox Hospital bandits - Melbourne Reply to this message
Hi all

I went on a shopping tour today. The good news is I have finished my Christmas shopping. YEAH.

The bad news is that it was not a good day for optifast. I knew were having a catered lunch, and the dietician had given me some guidelines as to the best things to choose (salad, fish or chook as protein to replace the opti etc - no carbs). So lunch time came, and we were all given individual 'picnic baskets'. Sandwiches, muf fin, chips, bikies. Not a non-carb amongst it :((

Ah well - it was my first cheat after being vigilent all week. Back on track tonight.

Cheers
Sue

Hi everyone,

I'm back from Greensborough had a lovely day with mum.

Just hanging out the washing I put on before I left and have the last load in the machine washing.

OMG!!!!!! Just listening to the news someone wants HO HO HO (santa's call) replaced with HA HA HA as it may be offensive to women. ????????? Think those people have far too much thinking time.!!!!!!!!!

Anywhooo..........

Bee glad to hear your feeling good.

Jane you sound very busy today, at least you don't have to worry about cooking dinner.........enjoy your night out and relax.

Ok best be off and fold the washing.

Have a great night all

Corny Joke for the day...

A Scotsman paying his first visit to the zoo stopped by one of the cages.

"An whut animal would that be?" he asked the keeper.

"That's a moose from Canada," came the reply.

"A moose!" exclaimed the Scotsman, "Hoots man - they must ha' rrrats like elephants ower there!"

Hi Phillipa,

I'm feeling so much better! 110% better actually! I'm not even dissapointed about having no fill in my band atm, because I know It wont belong before I do, and I can self control till then. Hopefully I get at least 3mls to start with...I hope Michelle is feeling ok!

Re:Knox Hospital bandits - Melbourne Reply to this message
Goodmorning all,

Kate all the best for tomorrow.
Sunday busy busy busy day, have already taken the daughter to 2hr basketball training, called in and said hello to a friend on the way home and ended up bringing her daughter back with us so my girl had someone to play with, have mowed the back lawn that I didn't do the other day, oh and also done a load of washing. Am off to spray weed killer everywhere and this is all before lunch. In the arvo, I think I will sort out my clothes as I brought some more clothes yesterday so I need to clean the wardrobe out a bit, I also brought some decent pj's for my op in 3 weeks as they were on a mega special.
When I drop my friends daughter back later we are staying for dinner so that is one less thing I have to think of.
Once my girl goes to bed tonight I am thinking of pulling my present draws apart and seeing what I have and have not organised for xmas so I can start writing a list and get what I need over the next few weeks before my op.
I am exhausted at the thought of what I am doing today but energised by the lovely weather!!

Can't wait to see everyone tomorrow night at the meeting who can make it....... I am hoping to even get there a little early for the carpark gossip session!!!! hahahaha

Best be off, thing to do!

Jane
