Oh well! Craig did manage to ge some chicken down - thigh meat thank goodness!

Cheers Phillipa

Hi guys

I'm back. Given my blood, sort of gives you a warm fuzzy feeling knowing that it will go to help someone else. Now I just need to give my permission for my organs to be donated and I can have that warm fuzzy feeling when I'm dead.

Off to Greensborough now.

Check in with all later.

Sending big hugs and kisses to Terri and Ross.

Thanks you Guys for the support,
I know deep down that we have to make a stand, we all have
our lives to live as well, life can't revolve around one person, but it just hurts so much..... that's my Baby out there, and I know what a beautiful kid is under this rotten
exterior, he is showing us all.
We meet some wonderful people on our journey through life,
and you guys are a part of my journey! Thanks again for
the support!
xxxxxxxxx

Mandy,
Hope you enjoy Spamalot, I would love to go, but Ross thinks Monty Python is silly. There again Phillipa said
Craig doesn't like them much either, but he enjoyed it !!!
Have fun, what happens to the Baby???? or do you take her,
if so I hope she sleeps through, so you can enjoy it.

Phil and Craig,
Congrats on you Masters and your contract. Well done you too!

Mandy,
Sorry Bandy was tempramental yesterday, good on you for
being a donor, doesn't surprise me, you are one of lifes
givers and its obvious you are very generous and have a big, big heart. Hope Bandy behaves today, go and buy a big
cream cake or something to make up on what you missed out
on Yesterday!
Mwa Mwa Mwa

10 to 12 and done nothing, better get on with my day, the old boy will be home soon asking what is for lunch????

Bellywelly,

I have had some problems along the way - yet I have NO regrets. I have lost 22kgs since Feb this year and If I hadn't had this done I could have easily put on 10kgs since February.

Even when the band cause hiccups along the way - it is ultimately worth it.

Just a quickie typing one handed with baby in arms...

Terri you poor thing I really sympathise with you as our eldest is trying at times and it is really hard to know how to handle it - we look at them and they are big and hairy and look like adults but they act like toddlers, I think we have no alternative but to treat them like naughty toddlers at times which you have done with 'time out', he needs time to think about the many chances you have given him and you need a break. Try not to worry too much, he is old enough to look after himself, you can only do so much for them. Take care of yourselves.

Hope you are all doing well and getting prepared for Christmas, the first banded one for many of us, I am still coping well with no fill, don't need any food dramas on top of sleep deprivation, lol.

Off to see Spamalot later today, should be good.

Take care
Mandy

Morning all,

Oh Terri I'm sorry you're feeling sh itty!! Kids just don't get it. Sometimes the only thing you can do is to let them find out things for themselves, and hopefully they realise that you were right. Good luck.

Well yesterday my band was being a princess, I attended three different parties between the hours of 10am and 2am. At 10am I had fruit. Orange was the culprit I think. So that was it for the rest of the day. When I felt fine and tried something later on in the day, it wouldn't stay in..........Of all days to precious....... all the lovely food at the parties and I couldn't have any.

Needless to say liquids today to settle things down.

I'm off to give blood :-\ Isn't it funny.....I can have needles in my port without a problem, but as soon as they want to stick one in that part of my arm, I'm terrified.

Best be off.
Catch you later.

Hi Terri,

It's one thing to feel like a poop so long as you don't smell like one.

I hope it works out for you but I understand sometimes when they can't see the lines we draw we need to renforce the way it needs to be.

And when you say you feel like a poop, keep in mind you wern't exactly on top of the world befor you took a stand either.

Good luck.

will be on 'our Terms'.
So off he has gone into the big wide world with no money,
no job, and no mates !
God, I feel like s h i t !!!!

Re:Knox Hospital bandits - Melbourne Reply to this message
Hi all

Bellywelly the only regret I have is that I didn't get it done long ago. I am 2 days off my one year anniversary and I have lost 30kgs. It isn't a miracle cure, you still need to watch what you eat. The band will control how much you eat, not what you put in your mouth. Good Luck I'm sure you won't regret it.

Bee are YOU hungry, or do you think your hungry. I think I know what your feeling. I don't get "hungry" but sometimes feel like something to eat. So when I think it's just "head hunger" I go and do something....... housework, shopping, scream at the kids (joking)..... find something that you can do to take your mind off it. I'm finding most of the time now I have to remember to eat, especially when I am busy.

Take Care
Good Luck
I have just been shopping. Took an hour to find a car park, half an hour to lose all motivation, half an out to get out of shopping centre and I bought 2 t. shirts. Aaaaahhhhh!!!!

Re:Knox Hospital bandits - Melbourne Reply to this message
Morning all

Bee, maybe your fill (or even a little less) is where you need to be, maybe you have found your "sweet spot". Sometimes it takes a few days to settle and for you to get use to the new restriction. See how you go over the weekend and if you are still having problems ask for a little to be out. I know I don't want any more fill. I went to 6ml and couldn't get anything down. Then I had 3ml taken out and slowly worked my way back to 5.5mls, still found I was having a bit of trouble, but not as much as 6ml, so I had .5ml taken out. I have 5ml in my band and am happy with that. I am still losing slowly but surly. Good luck.

Phillipa good on you for starting the chrissy shopping. I plan to do some of that today, before the partying begins.

Have a great day all

Re:Knox Hospital bandits - Melbourne Reply to this message
Hey all,

Has anyone had problems with repeated over fills? I had a bad blockaged, very bad, 4 weeks ago, and had to have the entire fill in my band removed, then i slowly built back up, i had another fill wednesday, and just like last time, i had liquids mushies on thursday, but the first time i try real food on friday, bam, i have major blockage, not due to eating fast, or not chewing, but because my band is to tight, i had one bite today, and it was bad. Cheryl wanted me to go to Mulgrave to have it taken out again, but i felt a bit better, it wasnt as servere as last time, and now im on liquids all weekend. Has this happened to anyone else? I cant seem to move foward, cos everytime its just to tight :(

Evening,

I am exhausted - just did 2+ hours of shopping... had to stop I think I was doubling up on people... i used to be so go at shopping previously. Losing my faculties this year LOL.

Still very restircted... 2 sips of a milk shake and agony - I think it was the freezing milk. Now I have left it 15 mins it is not so bad.

Oh well, got to get uesed to restriction given I rarely have had it this year.

Cheers Phillipa

Hi Sharon,

The main thing is that no one got hurt, cars can be repaired/replaced. Its just inconvenient.
