Hi all
Great to see everyone today, thanks Garry for org*nising ing it.
Got back to work, was very uninterested, did the important stuff like my footy tips, and was out of there by 2.30!
Great loss Shan, and half a ml should make a reasonable difference at this stage. Let us know how you go.
Cheers

Hey Guys
thanks so much for lunch today, was so nice to catch up with everyone again! Everyone is looking well which is great to see.
Had my appointment at 2.30 and lost 2.4kgs which is not too bad and Chris put another 1/2ml in for me taking me to 6ml in total, hopefully will see some more results next time. Mt next appointment is the day after i get back from Perth so i had better behave myself over there and not over indulge too much (well as much as you can on a holiday!!!)
Luv

Oh, BTW, in the first 4-6 months, while I had little or no restriction, I was very strict sticking to the dieticians guidelines about food intake (especially fat and sugar content).
Fortunately, it was just when I was getting sick of being so strict diet wise that my restriction kicked in. So do your best to follow their guidelines. The dietician has changed, so I don't know if the guidelines have changed, but try to stick with it.
Cheers

Hi Sinatra
Ok, you said it, stop stressing. You have no fill yet, so no restriction, and are probably still on fluids? This is a time for healing, not weight loss. Some people manage to lose during this phase, but many do not. I know you are keen to get the weight loss started, but realistically, until you have some restriction, don't expect too much.
Example of my food intake (yesterdays intake)
Breakfast - skinny hot chocolate (I can't handle solids in the morning)
Snack - cup of tea
Lunch - 1/2 cup home made zucchini and corn soup
Snack - 1/2 cup soup as above & 1 delite biscuit
Dinner - Spinach and ricotta canneloni, almost finished one tube, plus about 1 tbsp savory rice. Half a tube would have been enough, was a bit overfull.
Snack - 4 squares caramello chocolate (I have chocolate or a hot milo most evenings as a treat)
Did about 40min at the gym too. Probably manage this 2-3 times a week. Other than that my exercise is pretty much incidental.
But you should not take this level of food intake as a guide, remember it took me 12 months to get to this level of restriction. In the early days I ate heaps more. For example, not being able to manage breakfast has only happened in the last couple of months.
So just try to relax and concentrate on healing.
Cheers

Hi everyone,
I wish i could come on friday - but its the day i return back to work. Sue your soo lucky you still keep loosing weight, i wish for the day i can say "i need to stop loosing weight", but any how im very happy you have finally gotten your dream to be your desired weight. I wait for the day and sometime doubt that day will ever some for me.
i've now been 2 weeks pre op and only lost 3 kilos (after the first week of surgery)and strugelling to keep it off, i'm going up and down .5kg literally everyday just to keep the 3kgs off. I'm starting to think what am i doing wrong. Starting to be a little doubtfull if this will really work for me (yes yes i know stop stressing ) I went to the group dietician session today, and a lady there had already lost 5 kgs in the last 2 weeks - made me feel so depressed, why my body's like this.
Sue - i have to ask, how do you do it. How do you keep loosing the weight? what's a normal day like for you in regards to exercise and food.
P.s I hope you don't mind me asking.
Regards,
Sinatra |

| Shan, coming from out of town I suggest you try and park on the rooftop. just follow all the signs to the cinemas. the door in from the carpark is very close to the restaurant. If you dont know Eastland it can be a bit of a headache getting a park and finding your way around. |

Balsamic is on the top level near Hoyts cinemas. Garry has made booking for 12 in name of Knox Bandits.
Hope to see you and your mum there.

| Gosh Sue, how is it that you are still losing? Of course I am green with envy but don't understand how you can be losing without even trying. It sure must be strange trying not to lose after years of the opposite. hope to see you friday. |

Welcome back Erina, glad you had a good time. Sorry to hear about your Dads cousin. Hope she makes a full recovery. I think we brush over the risks sometimes, with a 'it won't happen to me' attitude. Brings you back down to earth when you hear about this type of thing happening.
I saw Rosmary King at knox today. She is a GP who is helping with fills etc. She agreed to let me keep my fill in for the moment, but I am going back the week before surgery to have 1ml out. I am under strict instructions not to lose any more weight, and she reckons the 1ml will be coming out regardless of the surgery if I lose any more.
So I'm happy with that. If I can maintain with the 1ml out they will leave it out, otherwise I will get a touch back in afterwards.
Now I just need to work on the brain, changing the mindset to trying not to lose weight isn't easy. Probably won't get much sympathy though LOL.
Cheers

Hello everyone!!
Well Im back after a week away - which was absolutley wonderful. I did have my scale withdrawals and was a little worried as I wasn't really watching what I was eating, no need to worry - no damage done!
On the way home I vistited my Dad's cousin who is in hospital in Geelong. She went in for a band 4 weeks ago and during the surgery they perforated her bowel. She is very very very lucky to be alive as it was touch and go and they are still not sure whether she will need a bag for the rest of her life. It is a very serious reminder of the risks we have taken in going through this operation. Fingers crossed she will make a full recovery.
Anyway - it is nice to see everyone is going well. I will try to make it on Friday - I would love to catch up with everyone.

| I'm not that familiar with Eastland, but I reckon on Eastlink maybe 15-20 min. Longer if you go with no tolls, probably 30 min. |
