Hi Cath
You can get a 'sample' box. It has the chocolate and vanilla shakes, a soup, berry bars and the mousse. Also a shaker I think. The majority of chemists don't stock it as standard but my local chemist was happy to order it in. It gave me a chance to try the flavours before committing to a whole box.
The newer flavours, the strawberry and cappucino shakes and the cappucino bars do not come in the sample packs, you need to buy the whole box. They are more expensive, but personally I found them to be much nicer.
I am not sure which chemists around Knox are the cheapest. I found the on-line chemists to be the cheapest for this stuff.
Cheers

Hi Knox bandits,
I'm seeking a bit of local information and wondering if you can help. Im about to start the optifast stage and want to know what places in Knox.
1) have a good range of products
2) have the best price
Im in Boronia - I tried my local Amcal chemist and they had some items (vanilla and chocolate shakes and chocolate bars) but I am also looking for soup and mousse.
Im hoping whatever I buy I'll like the taste of because its alot of money to spend on something you can't keep down. Do you know if they do "sample boxes" :-)
Thanks

Phillipa,
Well I might enjoy those types of parties now then!! As I said it was for a bridal shower/kitchen tea thing. I don't know anyone else getting married.... most of my friends are divorcing now! How sad is that.
I would imagine that the games and things that the hostess did were specifically for a bridal themed party.
I haven't been to a tuperware party in 2 years either. I do like how like with my Enjoy cleaning products I can order them without attending another party. That is so much better! Also finally.... a Body Shop has opened in Toowoomba so I don't have to go to a party to order their stuff either. No pressure, I like that!
See you all,

Hi everyone,
Just a quickie as the son is nagging me to cook dinner !!!
So I just wanted to say to-
Michelle - I would be interested in hearing more about boot camp. Is hubby getting a business up and running for personal training or group training? A group of bandits would be great. Where, When, How much, How often ?????
Phillipa could you please email me the details of the chefs party I will email you my address if you don't have it. Thanks. :)
Mandy BMI of 26 that's awesome. I am still overweight or obese depending on the calculator I use with my BMI being 30.
Hi Mel and Madonna.
Ok the nagging is getting louder and annoying so I'm off to cook dinner. Scotch fillet steak with mushroom sauce and salad.
Take care all

A WOMAN was flying from Seattle to San Francisco. Unexpectedly, the plane
was diverted to Sacramento along the way. The flight attendant explained
that there would be a delay, and if the passengers wanted to get off the
aircraft the plane would re-board in 50 minutes.
Everybody got off the plane except one lady who was blind. The man had
noticed her as he walked by and could tell the lady was blind because her
seeing eye dog lay quietly underneath the seats in front of her throughout
the entire flight.
He could also tell she had flown this very flight before because the pilot
approached her, and calling her by name, said, "Kathy, we are in Sacramento
for almost an hour. Would you like to get off and stretch your legs?"
The blind lady replied, "No thanks, but maybe Buddy would like to stretch
his legs."
Picture this:
All the people in the gate area came to a complete standstill when they
looked up and saw the pilot walk off the plane with a Seeing Eye dog!
The pilot was even wearing sunglasses. People scattered. They not only
tried to change planes, but they were trying to change airlines!
True story... Have a great day and remember...
THINGS AREN'T ALWAYS AS THEY APPEAR.
A DAY WITHOUT LAUGHTER IS A DAY WASTED!!! |

Michelle..... sorry my post makes no sense. It is a Party Plan thing, just like going to a Tupperware Party or Linen Party.
You have little games and win prizes supplied by the company.
The big gifts that my mate got like the mix master and the saucepan set didn't come from the company though. All of the guests listen the the consultant and then we picked gifts out the book for the bride to be (and 3 of us threw in to get a knife and it is a really good one too).
It was fun. Like all those things though..... if you have no need for buying anything, it is very expensive.

Michelle,
So glad that you are well and eating. I am very happy with your weight loss, however its more important for you just to be well at the moment... and the wieght loss is a bonus!
As for your question.... what is a Chefs Tool Box.... I hosted a party for a girl 2 years ago with this theme. It is a modern version of a Kitchen Tea/ Pantry Tea.
You buy kitchen utensils, tea towels, groovy oven mits, eggs timers etc anything you can think of really. The parents and inlaws all chipped in and bought her a Kenwood Chef Mix Master. Some Aunties got her an Arcosteel Saucepan set.
As a rule you don't buy kitchen appliances, it is more all your little fiddly bits. 3 of us chipped in and bought a really good sharp knife. So don't feel that you have to spend a million dollars. I would say $30 would get you a good like basket of goodies.
Hope this helps!

Michelle.... finally you sound like you are really well. I am so so pleased to see a happy and positive post from you. Please be careful, you don't want to crash and burn after all the hard yards you have faced.
Catch up soon. I am planning to hit Melbourne late June early July - so we must get together. I love catching up with girls from these support forums, it is great to put face to name. I feel like you are all family that I have never met.
Michelle... take it easy and enjoy the new you.

Sue, I will pack the clothes up and have them ready for you!
Mandy, The first time i met you you were looking fantastic so i can't even imagine how you are looking now!!
One bad thing about losing the weight the way i have (besides the agony and multiple surgeries), is the terrible tyre i have around my waist. It is just horrible fat and skin. I want it removed but cannot afford it and don't know if i can go through another surgery this year!
Hubby is a personal trainer so he said that we will work together to get the best results that we can with exercise and then assess the need for surgery later. I have a chronic illness tho so exercise has to be low impact and really well structured or i could crash.
If anyone is interested in a knox bandit boot camp, let me know. Hubby has started his own business.
Have a lovely day :)

Hi all
Michelle you sound so happy, good for you and in the normal weight rang, fantastic, so all you need to do now is maintain it you must be over the moon.
Erina have to be careful what I write but it went well yesterday as the person turned up very much worse for wear and had to be removed by security, back there in three months.
I went to Knox today and didn't have any fill after all as I was so stressed yesterday and got some potato stuck, got measured though but couldn't tell you the measurements, less of course but not as spectacular as I thought they would be. Lost 1.5kg though (on their scales) and am not BMI 26 by their computer program (I am less on my scales and my BMI calculator), they have said I am 'cooked' and now they will be helping me to maintain not lose as the band has done it's job, 86% of excess weight lost. Might have to start exercising my lazy bum now!
Take care everyone

Ok, what is a chefs toolbox party?
I have news..... I can eat finally! Last night i had some rice with creamy chicken and mushroom sauce...YUM!
Today for lunch i had 1/2 of a sausage roll and yesterday for lunch i had 1 1/2 steamed dim sims.
I overate dinner last night and got a nasty dose of dumping syndrome (nausea, sweats, shakes, dizzy spells) so i know now to stop sooner rather than later. Much like the band i suppose. I just got over excited and the whole eating with my family concept that i took it a little far.
I am looking forward to seeing Helen and getting a good diet regime planned for me so that i get all of the fibre and protein that my new body needs.
Oooh, ooh, one more thing.... I went shopping today in Cotton On and when i was asked if i needed help with sizes i said to the girl "I don't know what size I am, I usually have to shop in the shop for larger women. I don't know what i am doing here!" Well, it turns out that i tried on and purchased 2 pairs of leggings and 2 long sleeved tops in a Medium!!!!!! I thought that there would be no way that I'd even fit into the XL at Cotton On.
My BMI is now 24.4.
Sorry guys, I am just elated. I have gone through so much pain and suffering over the last year. It is nice to finally be rewarded for it and i wanted to share with people that would understand.
Michelle.
Phillipa- Have you searched your car and hand bag for your ring? Maybe it fell off into one of those?? Sorry, I'm sure you have already searched everywhere :( |

A joke for tonight
Hillary Clinton goes to her doctor for a check-up, only to find out that she's pregnant. She is furious... Here she is in the middle of her first run for President as Senator for New York .... now this has happened to her.
She calls home, gets Bill on the phone and immediately starts screaming: "How could you have let this happen? With all that's going on right now,you go and get me pregnant!
How could you? I can't believe this! I've just found out I'm five weeks pregnant and it's all your fault! Well, what have you got to say?"
There is nothing but dead silence on the phone. She screams again, "Did you hear me?" Finally, she hears Bill's very, very quiet voice, in a barely audible whisper, he asks:
"Who's speaking?"
Cheers Phillipa |
