| Hi camdana, if you have co morbidities they will perform lapband surgery on you. Every case is individual. You are more likely to get it as a private patient than public. Linda |

| Hi Shazz, No I am not a Ballarat 'Person' as such, but live in the region thereabouts, so I can meet up at Ballarat and Werribee. I have a couple of days off work, so thought it was a great time to meet up with Linda and anyone else who comes along. I have been an avid reader of Linda's journey since I found these sites, and been in touch with her during my own banding experience (14th Jan, with Deb, Myf and Yvonne) We are all band buddies. | What about going to a Melbourne surgeon? If you go to a large centre in Melbourne there are many advantages compared to a solo country surgeon. I go to the Melbourne Bariatric Surgery Centre in Windsor where there are about 6 surgeons and 6 physicians all operating from the one centre. The service is excellent, dietitian and counsellor also on hand. Shaz |

| Hi Alison, no I didn't have a sleep test. I did fib a bit when Dr Kemp asked me if I snore I made very light of it. I used to snore like a truckie according to my daughter LOL I know what you mean about your comfort zone. It is so much better after you have lost some weight. I have just had 3 nights in Melb for a wedding and I took more clothes for that than I think I used to own before losing weight. It will only get better for you. I promise. Linda |
