Hi everyone
I don't post on here very often anymore, but do still read everyday! You have all done sooooo well.
Di, I bet it was an inspirational speech. Well done, you have come so far.
I am interested in a meetup, but like Ev, I live in Perth. Depends on where and when as to whether I can make it.
Take care everyone and keep up the good work
Hugs

Yup...have restriction again...YAY!
Di!!! Need a copy of that speech!!! Wish we could all have been there to see it, sure you were wonderful :-)
Ellee I'm still 25kg's from goal but really... I'm 30kg's lighter so can't complain! Well I can but if I do just tell me to shut up. lol. Funny how *again* I have to train myself into eating the right amounts..just pb'd on tuna and crackers cause wasn't paying attention to the amount that was going in my mouth. Argh! Fiddly little lifesavers these bands are!
My life seems to be an open book, every itsy bitsy detail of it, so if someone doesn't know that I'm in Geelong, VIC... I'd be very surprised!
Take care all :-)

Hi all,
I agree would be good to just be our April group for a meet up, would be hard to get us all in the one place at the one time, but we can try.
I am in Warrnambool Vic (south west vic)

Ev - that is just precious! It makes it all worthwhile and those little things mean so much. I keep telling people - it's just all about the little things!
Neens - I've got everything crossed lovie that you get the unit for you and B. Let us know how you get on. Other wise - there's always North Queensland you know!! :-)
I'm with all you lovlies about have an April catch up. It would be fantastic to put a human touch to our chats. After all we have all developed a pretty special bond I think on this journey over the last 14 months or so. Maybe we can put a list of what state we live in and then work out where the majority are and where the easiest place is to meet. I'm pretty easy and will go anywhere!! I'm happy to co-ordinate if you want. If you don't want to put your state/city up - email me and I'll put something together.
I spoke at a seminar on Tuesday night!! Was as nervous as h3ll until I got going. Then as I was reading my speech I had to contain my emotions and not start blubbering!! Such an emotional thing and to have reached goal last week I think it all hit me at once! But it was really positive and as my slideshow of photos played behind me I could hear all the 'oohhsss and ahhhsssss' coming out of the audience. A few people came up to me later asking all the usual questions. Even the physc that I saw before my surgery said looking at my before photos - that she can't remember me like that now!
Off to Cairns with my family this weekend. Actually finishing at 12 today and heading up there tomorrow and then I've got Monday off! Can't wait. I'm heading to DFO & Myer for some new clothes.
Hope that everyone has a great weekend and we will catch up again soon.
Cheers

Nawwww Ev isn't that just lovely of her?
And Neens...honey you're going to be just fine. We've been at this game for over a year now and I think now is going to be a bit of a danger time for all of us. Particularly those at or close to goal. Maintaining your committment and dedication to a change of lifestyle is the hardest thing...bad habits are so much easier aren't they? And I"m saying this for my own benefit...there has been way way way WAY too much chocolate consumption in this house in the last few weeks, stripping away all the bull ship excuses I could offer it's simply this...bad habits are easier and my brain remembers them better than the good habits I've only just learned. Come on brain get with the picture!!!!!

Ellee thanks babe, you know me don't you :-) I will get back on track, starting from TODAY! Had a 0.3ml top-up with a lashing from my doc...if I keep overeating with the band tight might face prolapse or stretching of the pouch. I've put on 3kg's. So not really happy with myself at all, but back on track again. Watch this space on Sunday for the weigh-in, I'll be pulling big numbers!
Ev what a darling your daughter is :-) And what a fabulous achievement, 40kg's gone forever! Now that's something to be proud of Ev...and I second Trish here, we are all proud of you, beautiful lady :-)
I'd looooooove to meet you all too, but would also prefer to keep it as an April meetup. Trish, me and my son might just pop in for a coffee one weekend, would be so nice to meet you face to face!
Now gals...if anyone of you is a praying person I'm asking for little help. Found the perfect unit for us but there are a lot of applicants (of course). If you could find it in your hearts to say a word for the big man on our behalf... that would be so much appreciated.

ah Nina
you are so right about this journey not being easy and wouldn't you just like to shove that down the throat of those that think it is?
Now listen up chickybabe!!!! Enough faffing around, you know what you have to do...go back to the RULES AND START AGAIN.
Portion control, chew chew chew sip sip sip and listen to your tummy. stop when you have had enough not when you are bursting. AND STAY AWAY FROM ALCOHOL.
right that's the end of the butt kicking from Ellee
You know you can do this, we know you can do this and we want you to do it!!!!
warm fuzzy thoughts

Let's just line up our bottoms and take turns in kicking each other...hehe...thanks for the advice ladies! Have a fill tomorrow so that should put me on track again. Once again have to comment how amazing it is how quick the restriction changes...one day there, the next day POOF! Gone! Di, I'm eating brekky, lunch and dinner now (well trying to fit it in) with snacks in b/w and feeling a lot better energy wise. So thanks :-)
On a personal note (again) my house has been put on the market so it'll be sold from underneath me and my son... not happy but what can I do. If anyone has an available rental property in Geelong, I'm interested!!!!! Very!!!

forgot to say l played up on the weekend and l gained weight again. I do so well during the week then on weekends l throw it all away.
I need a kick up the bum as well, but that is why l got a band in the first place. Keeps us going rather than just giving up.

I would also think that you need to get someone into check that wall that kept moving the other night!! hahahaha.... pleased the head was ok though.
Ok - now I don't need to give you a kick up the bum because you already know what you have to do Buba!!!!! You've done it all before. Like you said back to basics. When you going for your fill?? Get some yummy soups - now that it's winter you'll probably feel like them a bit more. In a normal day I have Up & Go for breakfast, couple of cruskits with tuna around 10.30 or 11 - lunch would be cruiskits or last nights left overs, soup, meat & salad, etc etc. Dinner is whatever the boys are having - normally steak & vegies, pasta, chicken or fish. Yogurt through the day along with about a litre of water. And of course and other little snacks along the way that I pick up!! Hope that this helps.
You've been going great guns when you consider where you were 12 months ago and what you have also been through with that other person that will remain nameless but begins with a 'J' but really could have started with a 'W'!! haha..... Text me babe if you wanna chat.....
Take care sweetness....

Hi girls....
Thanks Trish!! I am pretty chuffed I must say. And along with that magic number on the scales my head games seem to have disappeared too which is great!! I am really enjoying it and am off to buy some new clothes to celebrate this morning!! haha. I have also signed up for a Diploma in Councelling. Along with a couple of other bandits we have something in the pipeline - watch this space as they say! ;-)
I'm sure that you will be well and truely at goal by November Trish!!! That 12 kilos will be disappearing before you know it. We really should start planning a meet up for April next year hey so we can all meet. It would be fantastic to get together with this wonderful support network we have created here.
Email me if anyone is interested and where you would like to meet up. dreamscomingtrue08@yahoo. com.au
Neens - how is the head sweetness?? LMFAO! I hope that the wall was ok! haha..... you gave me a great laugh Friday night!!
Have a great Sunday everyone. It is a beautiful day here again today - love living in paradise!!

| No it feels like something is just sitting in there? Its not the usual pain you get in the chest like you do when you've eaten too fast and then the pain subsides. The pain is more on the outside like I've pulled a muscle. I almost had my first PB last night when I ate too fast, but I jsut kept swallowing the slime until the pain subsided. But this morning I woke up and felt like my food hadn't budged all night |

| My suggestion is to drink something slowly that is as hot as possible. This will lubricate and also make the band stretch a little. I have heard of people putting up with the pain for a couple of days, does it feel like a pain in the chest? |

Hi Guys - sorry to crash your forum but need some advice...Di I hope you're still on line?
I feel funny. I think I ate too fast for dinner last night and now I think the food is stuck somewhere? maybe in the stoma? It feels like there's something sitting in the space just under the middle of my chest. It feels really tight there and everytime I've eaten something today I've started sliming. Is it possible for food to be stuck for so long ie overnight and all day and will it shift eventually? I'm a little concerned that everything I eat is going to back up! It also feels sore too like I've stretched a muscle or something? Help! |
