Trish, well done on your loss :-) You're going to demolish that evasive 100 mark next week, I just know it!
Your last night sounds terrible... just take it easy and look after yourself. Did you try a fizzy drink to dislodge the rice?
Till next Sunday then :-)

hi all haven't posted for a while as i have been busy
i flew down to Sydney last week to see my mum but had a wonderful feeling no extra seat belt extension
what a good feeling that was
every one is now commenting on my shrinking body shape and i feel guilty about lying to them but really feel i am not able to tell people as yet
i have been having a few problems since my over fill in august i now have 8.2ml in my band and am having a lot of problems of reflux my doctor put me on pariet 20mg i feel it is making it worse!!! i get pain and discomfort in my chest up to my Adams apple level and have even brought up fluid but usually only at night so AM off for a barium swallow on Monday and then see the Dr on Tuesday i am concerned that my band may have sliped!!!!!
eating wise small amounts but have to chew and again only very small amounts in the evening and nothing after 7.30pm
every one seems to be going well
with such fantastic losses keep up the good work
we all have little hills to over come on our journey
and it is so help full to be part of every one journey it make you feel you are not alone as i really feel my husbane has no undrstanding even through he tries so very hard to

Hey Nina - we could meet in Brisbane and have some fun there.... or Sydney - I'm pretty easy really - well when it comes to girls weekends anyway!! lol....
Sounds like a plan Nina - and we'll be able to walk into those posh gucci store or whatever the hell that was. I still laugh when I think of that day.... |

Perhaps we could do a headcount? So far it's you and me, Di, but I'm sure others would like to join in too? If not, bugger it, let's just meet somewhere in the middle just the two of us...lol...
Headcount for April meet-up:
Nina - Geelong VIC (near Melbourne)
Di - Townsville Qld (but I'll go anywhere - lol) |

lol Nina - didn't want to scare you but sometimes exercise can be dangerous to our health you know!!! lol....
I would certainly be up for a get together Nina. I'll go anywhere to meet up - doesn't worry me. A day chatting & laughing would be great!!
Everyone is doing fab - well done Jo on your weightloss update too. I must admit that I'm a bit like you nina with exercise. if i can find a way to get out of it I will.... *sigh* maybe when we move into the house and we have the pool I'll be more inclinded to do it. I'm thinking because I talked hubby into the 9.2mtr pool with the "oh it'll be great cause it's long enough to do laps" excuse - I suppose I will have to use it won't I?? lol....
The teenager is home with his arm in a full cast now with his hand angled downwards. It looks so uncomfortable for him. 5 weeks in cast now. Hell of a way for him to get out of helping us move & it looks like he'll be sitting on the side lines of the pool for the first few weeks too!!
Oh well - must away and get some more work done...... take care everyone....

Di, LOL! No I'm 110% sure there are no other aliens in this tummy...hehe... oh that was actually a really scary thought!
I'm really warming up to the idea of a get-together, would there be any takers? Nothing huge I guess, just a day of chatting and laughing somewhere nice.
Jo, congrats on the kg's lost! You are doing so well :-) Could I please pinch some of that motivation? Guess it would be better to manufacture some of my own, huh. I do TRY and go for walks but almost every time it stops at the thinking stage. Well, at the moment my life is mad with final exams and a sick kid, but even that is all excuses. Thanks for the reply tho, much appreciated, and I WILL get off my bottom! SOON! May be on Monday after the exams... gawd I'm good at this.
Trish, have you stayed off the scales? I've been a bit naughty, weighed myself today (bad me, bad!) and it's all good. Hope we call all record losses on Sunday :-)
Take care all, chat soon :-)

Nina,
Just a little message for you..I can say that I do know your frustration with the exercise bizzo...until late August (2 months ago, and 4 months after being banded), I was in absolutely NO frame of mind to exercise whatsoever! The mind frame I was in would not allow me to move my fat butt..!
Butt..then I slowly started some exercise by joining at my local leisure centre, and the short of it is I have lost 10 kgs alone since I joined!! I have learnt that I cannot rely on the band alone to do the work for me!
And now that my fills are kicking in, it seems to be a combination of right timing - band in a good place for me (nearing good restriction), I have the energy and mindframe to exercise, and I no longer want naughty food!
So I'm hoping that I can provide some inspiration to you to start to help you on your way, and think about what I'm saying about the timing...I hope it all falls together for you and you are back on the road again soon.
PS I find group exercise really helps cos you have others to have fun with and motivate you. Would this help you too?
Good luck, Jo |

Oh I know Nina. At least we have managed to get him in today. he was quite sore when he rung me this morning after he woke up. i went to work & left him sleeping. I can tell that he is sore because he normally sleeps until 11am when left to his own devices!! but he rung me at 8 this morning the poor thing. I feel so helpless as a mum not to be able to help him. I'll leave work at 12.30 and go home to him. Lol about your exercise Nina!! make sure you're band isn't sharing your tummy with a surprise visitor after all this exercise you are doing!!! lol.... you poor love with your fills. doesn't make it pleasant for you at all.
It would be great for us to all meet up wouldn't it!! We need to find out where the majority of people live and maybe we could decend there for a weekend. what a great time we would have I'm sure. Nina - I just think of the laughs we had in 1 day without spending a whole weekend together!! lol... would be great....
Take care everyone

Di, now that just sucks! Can't believe how difficult it is to see a doc nowadays, and that's just ridiculous. Hope your son is feeling a bit better. What a great reminder about not having energy to walk after .. "exercise" .. lol... have to tell DH that!
My tummy is bruised and really tender, can't even button up my pants. Seriously not looking forward to the next fill :-(
And I do agree what a fantastic thread this is! Wouldn't it be nice for all us April girls to have a get together???

Hi all....
Well it's nice to chat on here in the middle of the day! I've had the boy at the doc's again. Can't get him into a surgeon until tomorrow afternoon!!! Can you believe that?? And we pay private health insurance why????? 3 are away O/S, 2 don't work on wrists (wtf) and 1 said no - just too busy today?? I'm a bit gob smacked over it. Even my GP had no luck getting him in. So if it doesn't settle down I'll take him back to hospital and sit there until we see someone!!
Yes Nina - when I get to 90kgs I think it is, I'll only be 'overweight' not obese. That's my goal for christmas so will see how we go?? Nice of you to speak with your doc about me!! lol... And I'm very pleased that he said I'm doing well too...!!!! Fee - we need to look on the bright side of gastro hey - 1kg is excellent!! lol... your messages are sounding a lot more positive too I must say. So pleased and hope that it all gets better from here on.
Nina - your chocolate must be like a smoke after....... exercise... lol.... and tell jeremy if you have energy to get up after all that exercise that he must be something wrong!!! roflmao!!!
Well - gonna go check our house out now that I'm home a bit earlier from work... take care everyone & we'll chat soon.
Oh I just wanted to say too - how lovely this thread is. It's always so positive and helpful with everyone looking out for each other.... we rock everyone....

Di, I just realized, you are (according to my calculations) 5kg's from "overweight"! Hope I'm right? |

Gastro has gone finally! Only good thing about it is that I lost a kilo!lol Now I need to test my restriction to see if it has lessened again before I go back to get it checked.
