El now that's a surprising turn of events! Really happy for you :-))))) But something's missing. If you can sit down and try and tune in on what it is that's bothering you about the relationhip... Ellee I understand that I don't know you...I mean REALLY know you...wish I did, you are such an awesome chick ;-) BUT you've really been through the wars lately with men and perhaps it takes a bit of time to learn to trust again. Perfection is not reality and you can only try and get the one who's ALMOST perfect for you. Or is the spark just not there?
No butt kicking girlie, none needed. Last one was good tho...heh...kept missing it cause your bloody butt is half the size!!!

Nina you are right you know if your energy expenditure is greater than your energy input then you WILL lose weight.
I work with a woman who has a lapband and bemoans the fact she is not losing weight, as she is shoving chocolate frogs down her gob every day. I've not said anything to her about my band because it's a private matter as far as I"m concerned but blimey charlie she irritates me. |

Frog prince nina?????? ROFL
Isn't life strange? I'm "seeing" my best friend. A man I've known for about 6 years went out with for a while and then ended things. Now we're seeing each other again and it's warm and comfortable. He's not a "thrill seeker" like me. But he supports all the crazy headed things I want to do, nutures me, finishes my sentences (just like I can finish his), lets me run free, is intelligent (more so than me), earns his OWN money. *sigh* life is just so complicated sometimes. He sounds like the perfect man right? Then why am I discontented? Some one please
( |*)kick my butt again?

Hi Trish,
walking does work, doesn't it :-) Now can you please TATTOO THAT IN MY FOREHEAD! Exercise = weight loss. So simple, isn't it! Now whhhhhhyyyyyyyyyy can't I do it! And hey, 88.3 is fantastic :-) Really, just imagine a bit more than a year ago when you were waiting to get the operation done and just couldn't wait to get your life started... well look at where you are now!!! You are living it :-)I checked out your photos on FB and darl...you are just shining :-) Beautiful!
Di I'm so terribly proud of you and hope you all the success in the world :-) By the sounds of it, doing really well! If you have a seminar in Melbourne count me in :-)
Ellee hows you? Found the frog prince yet?
Mermaid had to mention to you that your generosity does affect me a lot... had to unfortunately attend a funeral on Friday and thought I didn't have anything to wear. Opened my cupboards and tried on the size 16's you've sent over: The black fitted top, also black trousers and a cami? Head to toe Mermaid :-)
Sorry I've been such a rare visitor lately, lifes pretty hectic at the moment...

Hi Nina,
I am so happy for you. Size 16 feels great. I know what you mean about the body shape changing. I have stayed the same weight for probably 2 - 3 months but l am wearing smaller clothes. Most of my clothes now are size 16, just the odd bits that are still 18.
Todays weight finally went down 88.3 kilo this morning, even after a big night out. Might of helped that l walked all night and then had to walk the almost 2 km home.
Have a great week

HI everyone,
96.6kg's today, so hovering around the same mark again.
I agree with feeling the cold! Fingers turning blue and uncontrollable shaking...fun fun fun. I don't have problems with my coxxyx, but can feel the start of my femur on my bottom when sitting...painful! Rather have that than the extra kg's tho :-)
Guys, I'm fitting into size 16 now...still a little bit snuggly but can do them up quite comfortably. Just amazing, because my weight hasn't changed in the past 3 months but my body is changing. Fascinating!
I'll be moving houses on the 10th of June (YAY!) so really looking forward to that. Also started a new part-time job so plenty of changes in the horizon. All is good :-)
Lots of hugs and kisses to everyone,
Nina |

Hi ladies!
yep - same. I get soooooo cold and have extra layers of clothing on. My hubby site & laughs at how many clothes I have on now! And I live in North Queensland! I am also having the problem with really sore tail bone. Very painful indeed - especially when I have been sitting in meetings for a couple of hours!!
Trish - pleased that you had your fill. Sounds like its all on track. It's amazing how much difference .2 can make!
All good with me - very busy with work & the new business which has taken off really well - better than we imagines. Have a look at our website if you want. I know I'm not meant to do this on here - but a bit of self promotion never hurt & I figure if Mr Yahoo hasn't deleted some very feral posts that have been written, then the website might be ok! lol... remember to take any spaces out that he puts in....... www.qldwls.com
Have a great weekend everyone. I'm on 2 weeks holidays from today so in a pretty good mood I must say!!
Cheers

Again l have nothing to report on up or down, l am so thankful that l am not gaining just a bit mad that l cant get past 88 kilo. I am booked for a fill on Thursday in Melbourne so l will see how l go next week, dont hold your breath tho because hubby and l are off to a function on saturday night so probably to much to drink and eat.
It can only get better. lol
Have a great week Trish |

thankyou for the butt kicking folks. It's helped I've upped the excercise and downed the carb levels and I"ve been having trouble with pb's this week too. It really does seem to be trap time doesn't it? Just over a year and we're all a bit...complacent?
but I'm down the 2kg I gained so that's a good thing and what's more important is I feel better. I feel like I"m back into a more positive frame of mind.
hope you are all in a good head space

Dearest wshful_thinking,
I would looooove an exercise buddy! If you are anywhere near Geelong please drop me a line on my Yahoo account and we'll go from there. I have to agree with others, please don't be so hard on yourself, and don't compare yourself to anyone. Your body is such a complex org a n i s m it's perhaps taking its time to get used to your new routine. Are you eating ENOUGH though? Sometimes when you are eating too little your metabolism stops completely and your body wants to hang on to all the extra fat. This has happened to me sooooo many times and I'm more than a year banded. Give yourself time and have a chat to a dietitian, they will get you back on track.
We'll be here to check up on you, so please let us know how you are feeling :-)
*hugs* to you,
Nina |

Get rid of the junk in the cupboards and off on a healthy road you are again.
Ev we must've got our wired cross on FB yesterday, let's try again today :-) I'm so pleased for you, being without glasses, that's huge! Hope the eye heals soon..xoxo

Dear Wishful thinking
First things first, you might want to discuss how you are feeling with your doctor either your surgeon or your gp. If you are suffering from undiagnosed depression that can make the effort of "doing" things seem almost insurmountable. Professional help is a MUST!
Second up you really need to stop being so hard on yourself. It's early days into your journey and finding the "sweet spot" of restriction and getting yourself into a good head space takes time, effort and committment. Many people dont lose weight immediately, as many different people on this board is how many different stories of "the journey" there is. It's different for every single person.
Please talk to your doctor about how you are feeling, it's a solid first step.
With lots of warm encouragement
Ellee |

| Keep your head up wshful_thinking! It can be hard...very hard at times. Firstly I have to ask, have you spoken to a psycholgist. Weight loss issues can be very complicated. I am a believer that if the head isn't in it, the weight isn't going to shift.Maybe also talking to a dietician may also help :) I would be more than happy to be your exercise buddy...where do you live? I found exercise to be very important. I was very embarassed initially do any at all. So I started walking in my very small unit. Just back and forth, back and forth. I reflect on that now and it seems so crazy but it got me moving and now I have joined a gym, go walking most mornings and have so much energy now. Hope that helps! :) |

Hi Guys,
I got banded april 15th, lost some weight in the first 4 weeks and then put on some weight 2 weeks before my fill last week.
I feel soo dissapointed with my self. At this point in time i am the exact same weight if not more then when i was when i had the operation, i've put on arround 3 kgs. Why has this happened?
i know i havn't been doing any exercise which isn't good i know, but to be honest since the operation i had been eating alot less, and after the fill im eating even less. I will not lie to my self im not like totally eating like a bird yet, but alot less than what i was eating, im even eating less then my family who are all skinny!!!!
This is really fustrating me and getting me really down and dissapointed. Since my fill i have put on 1 kg. That makes a total of 3 kgs. Im just totally confussed as to why, how, what's happend.
i feel totally lost and confussed why i havnt not only lost any weight but an putting it on. how do i get it off!!! im totally hating my self and gone back into the evil cycle of feeling down.
i want to start doing exercise, but im finding when i get home from work im soo down i just want to sleep and never want to wake up. i really am wanting to find an exersice buddy, to help me and me help them but no one seems to be interested i jus feel like i can not get away from this even weight issue of my life, and i hate it |
