| Nina - that's fantastic!! Very exciting stuff!! May even be worth a trip to Melbourne if it's only $1000!!!! I know what you mean about the other threads neens. We such a friendly bunch! lol... just ask us & we'll tell ya!!! Karen - interesting info on the gums & teeth. It seems that everything affects us in some way doesn't it. We are watching another bloody cyclone here off the coast this weekend. Bit more rain and wind. | Hi Beth, this is a really interesting issue. I've been banded ten months now and I went to the dentist for a checkup after six. She told me that I had a lot of what she called "sponginess" around my gums and did I floss every day. Well, I do but I'm slack about it (I do now). The sponginess was a precursor to gum disease and apparently when you PB, you create a really rich environment for bacteria so you need to brush and floss afterwards. Sorry if this is a bit disgusting! As there is no acid in a PB which there is in vomit, you don't get any erosion of the enamel. Anyway I started brushing and flossing after each PB and within a month I had a massive improvement. Karen |

| Can some one tell me whether pbing damages our teeth. I must admit to suffering from this when I eat too quickly or don't chew enough and now I am worried that the last ten months have put my teeth at risk. Thanks Beth |

| Uhhh...have just spent time reading the other threads, usually I don't go there anymore at all, just our thread, and now I remember why...so sad :-( Some good news! I called my doc and he's doing a TT on me as soon as I reach 90kg's! This is his goal weight for me, and even if I loose more after that shouldn't make much of a difference...like, seriously YAY! Price will be less than $1000...another YAY! |

| We must all be hibernating ... lol ... so nice to have rain here in Melbourne! Trish what a good idea to hire the dress, think that's the smart thing to do. Where did you go on your honeymoon? Not that I'm nosy at all!!! Just a little... I'm calling my operating doctor in Traralgon today, was told a while back that he does apronectomies too and might need to start inquiring about this already. Still have 20kg's to go but I'm getting impatient...not looks wise but the infections are getting painful :-( Oh, ONLY to be big in the bottom and thighs and not the tummy! | Need a fill too but don't have the money to pay for it atm... how annoying! For the first time last night I could feel my port, haven't been able to locate it through the tummy fat before. Trish do you still have your wedding dress? Would be nice for you to try that on, like before and after :-) Feeling a bit funny today, like something's gonna happen. Do you guys ever get that? The members of this April group were all banded Aril last year, your welcome to read back and find out how things have gone for us. | Hi Nina, My next goal that l set for myself is to be 90 kilo by my wedding anniversary, not sure l will make this goal because my anniversary is on Thursday this week and l am 1.5 kilos short. I try to make small goals so that l dont get disappointed about not making it. What l will make my goal after 90 kilos is a mystery, not sure what l will aim for. Also on another not l am now lighter than l was when l got married almost 15 years ago. I would to get married again so l can be a skinny bride and not look like a big marsh mellow like l did the first time around lol. Trish |

I should've done the same, my only goal has been to get to goal and that's it, have to revise that. Well to get to a 30kg loss I need to loose 1.8kg's so that will be my next mini goal. Doable! | Morning all, Nina well done. I have this mental picture of you running around house with scales to see if there is a difference in each room. Its great now you need to set your next goal post, I love the fact that l set new goals all the time and l able to get there, Years ago l would make weight loss goal and never achieve them. I am the same as Ev and Di, My jewellery is so big, my braclet and bangle slip straight off my wrist. I am wearing my engagement, wedding and eternity rings on my index finger, l do want to have thema adjusted just yet l want to wait until l am done before l get them done. Ok now for my weight loss for the week l am 92.5 kilo this week so a small loss of 500 grams, but in the last 2 days l have been bad and havent had any water, just really busy and forgot to drink. I will have a better week next week l hope. Take care Trish |
