I might go and buy myself some of the mega-expensive Bunnykins collector ones ;) Thanks for the warm welcome everyone - I'm a little overwhelemed by the site because there are so many people but I really look forward to getting to know you all. And to whoever was upset about me jumping the queue - I'm sorry!! I have to admit it happened pretty quickly for me - saw the surgeon 24 Jan then 29 Feb and got the date from the outset, so it's been quite a rush! But I am excited about the surgery. I work with a woman who had it done a couple of years ago - she's the only person I've told apart from DH - and that's been nice to have the benefit of her experience. I've been told to check out what this forum has to say on "sliming".....sounds..... . lovely? |

| Oh I forgot to say that I just went and brought myself the nicest, littlest plate and bowl!! lol.... how sad getting excited about buying my own special plate and bowl... so I brought 2!! One for work and one for home..... It's the little things that will make the difference... |

| Hi Cazz That's great that you enjoyed your fat funeral!! It is such a great idea!! If I had more friends in Townsville I would do it for sure... perhaps I can compromise at my nieces' baby shower next weekend!! Welcome Coops... only 19 days to go so very exciting. I am being banded on April 4 as well and also have twin boys born still in 1993. So quite a few years ago but sometimes feels as if it was just yesterday.... so we probably have quite a bit in common... I'm sure that we will continue to chat and get to know you over the next few months at least... Di |

| Hi again The last guests at my fat funeral just left and a great time was had by all! We took heaps of pictures so I can go back and look at my old self in my Before shots haha. I had a huge fruit platter with home made passionfruit yoghurt dip and a home made carrot cake with light cream cheese frosting and a bowl home made pita chips with tomato salsa. Nothing really unhealthy at all and everything went so it must have been good. Someone asked where the real party food was and I told them that this was better than that fat laden junk and after eating it he was happy and said the food was great. Maybe I have influenced him to eat better. Feel free to copy my idea. I just thought it was a great way to see all my friends and family before I had the banding. I live in Melbourne, I go by the name Coops, I'm married and I have two beautiful children at home and one gorgeous son who was stillborn back in 2003. | Hi Rach... Lol... that's funny... I'm lucky that I have a work phone and they pay my bill!! No limits at all.. gotta love that!! That was nice of your mum to say that!!! Always makes us feel special. That's great your kids have that relationship with her. My mum & dad live in NZ so Shannon only sees them once a year which is a bug ger. That's good that you have rung and left messages for the boss. At least it will show you are trying to make contact. I really don't know what else to say.... never come across this situation before. Best bet is to call employment lawyer for their advice. Time to get tough & bring out that b*&^h that is in all of us!!! lol... Time is flying by.. very excited. About to go out and start getting things together... shopping ALWAYS makes me feel good!! Woo Hoo for banding... *wiping tears away* Living in Townsville we don't get much of a winter. My son doesn't even have a winter school uniform!! But our winter weather is fantastic.. a constant 23-25 degrees. Just beautiful.. | Hi Di, Thanks for your text - hubby has put me on pre-paid because my post paid bills were a little extreme! I ran out of credit yesterday and haven't had a chance to buy more so that will explain why I haven't sent you a text back! I am not being rude or ignoring you! I am fine - had a bit of a whinge to my mum which always helps! My mum and I aren't close but for the first time since I was a teenager she said I love you today so I am pretty chuffed. Its funny, my mum drives me bonkers, but she is the best granny to my kids! They think she walks on water! I have to laugh when my kids try and blackmail me they say "We'll tell Granna on you!" and I say "So, I'll be in her bad books, situation NORMAL!" LOL! I have left 2 messages for Rays boss to call me back, and nothing. I will be left with no option but to call a lawyer in the morning. I guess a call from a lawyer may get a response. Bugger, not the path I wanted to travel down, but it looks like its time to roll up my sleeves and dig my heels in. Anyway, I can't believe how fast time is flying - your surgery is just around the corner and before you know it wel should all be bandsters (or re-bandsters) and on our way to a new life. Yippee! | Good morning everyone... Hope that everyone has had a good weekend.... we having been sitting with our new house plans and working out our electrical plans and where all our lights are going.. mmmm.. we only told each other where to go once so very pleased with that!!! lol... but we haven't started on paint colours yet so that will be interesting!!! I love the idea of the fat funeral. Sounds great!! I need to go and buy all my bits and pieces for post op too. Think that I will need to have new nighties, new lounging clothes etc.. any excuse.. and yes you are right - I will become bit of a clothes addict!! can't wait. Only 19 days to go Nina and Doreen for us 3. How exciting.. the time has gone so fast and I just can't wait. Well - off to spotlight for baby shower shopping.... hope that everyone has a fantastic Sunday and we will chat soon.. | Welcome to all the new soon to be bandits Cath, we don't have long to go, it is starting to feel very real. I went and bought all my Supradyn, liquid panadol, degas and all the other goodies I need for post op. Have it all displayed here on the dining table like trophies hehehe. Don't want to pack it away, just wanna keep looking at it, so very funny! I slipped up with the Opti so far and decided to start tomorrow as Monday is a new fresh start to the week and Tuesday is the absolute last day to start to give us 14 days pre-op. Belvil |

| hi Cazz I read about your Fat Funeral. Sounds like a great idea...especially before the Optifast stage. I am going to introduce Optifast gradually in the week after Easter so I might have a funeral of my own next weekend. |
