| hi there ladies, it is great to hear that you are all doing well. I am looking at a tummy tuck too, prob next xmas cause I have most of 2010 booked up with holidays!!! My weight is quite stable at 67 kgs, and I am quite happy to stay at this weight. My tummy is not too bad but it will be the icing on the cake just to neaten things up and complete my journey. The band was in total control a few months ago, I think I am at my optimal operating level now, lol. I can eat nearly everything, and anything, which is so good cause it was not much fun PB after everything I ate. I am so glad that everyone has had a wear out of my clothes, and Ev, I think you thought you would never fit into my handme downs and now look, they're too big for you. Well done. And it is great that Neens is still getting some wear out of them too!!! So proud of all of us!!! Well in 29 days I am off on a girls trip to Ireland, England and the USA. Took me a while to find a company that would cover my band, especially coz I have not had it for two years, but found one in the end and they were so great to deal with. So wish me luck, I have had no issues lately, touch wood!! I have a huge shopping addiction at the moment, loving everything I try on, lol, husband not happy!! Well.... you get that! | Hi Nina, my friend in on her 3rd lap band. first one had a hole in the tubing near the band its self and the tubing couldnt be replaced, the next one was put in a bad position and she had reflux all the time even with no fill in. She got a new one in august and all is going well. Just one of the unlucky ones l guess. I am seeing doctor in December for tummy tuck as well, hope l dont have to wait to long. Your so lucky Nina, you will be super thin and no saggy bits by valentines day. I havent brought a lot of new clothes, but l have been living in the op shops, loving the fact that l can pick up a bargin and get really good stuff at the same time. Last week l picked up a dress for $3.00 and l wore it out on Saturday night, every one kept saying how good l looked. Its still a real buzz to be told that l am stunning these days. Take Care trish |

| Evelyn well done girl :-) I'm living in Mermaid's clothes...heh...plus have found a new addiction in clothes shopping too. Anyone else do the same? Trish what a darling you are to do that for your friend! What went wrong with her band? Have some news. I had a consult with my banding doc yesterday in regards of tummy tuck and arm reduction surgeries. He's happy with my progress and being 90kg's at the moment, doesn't think I need to lose any more weight. Mainly, I don't feel the need to. After the tummy is gone I'll be in size 14 jeans and that has been my goal all along :-) Soooooooo I'm booked in for January 11th. Yay!!! Hope everyone is doing well, Nina |

| Evelyn, What a great feeling. Well done. I have so many clothes that are to big these days, but l am hanging on to them until a friend needs them. I haven't told her yet its a surprise, she has just had her lapband replaced and is starting all over again. Trish |

| Gosh everyones doing so well!!! So proud of our April bunch :-) My weight has slowly started moving again, 34kg loss now and I'm thrilled! Still have 4kg's to go to my surgeons goal and to be honest, I'd be happy staying there. My face is starting too look very gaunt and I'm not liking it at all, don't want to lose too much more. My sugar levels are back to normal and I'm feeling so much better in myself...ready to start dating soon I guess :-) I've made an appt with my banding doc to have a chat about a tummy tuck and hopefully will be booking that in in the next 6 months. | Hi everyone. Its been a while since I've been on here. I've managed to lose 43kg and have been at that for the past couple of months. I would like to get to 50kg lost but am quite happy to wait until after christmas to tackle it. I've found it quite easy to maintain at the moment. A couple of months ago I had a lot of night reflux so had to have some fluid out which has enabled me to eat a bit more but find if I watch it I'm OK. Hope everyone is travelling OK. | Hi there Lovely Ladies, good to see some are still around. I pop in every so often to check up on you all. Well Neens I am glad that there is nothing wrong with your band, just gotta get your head around it all again. Mind you I can talk, had an unfill not too long ago cause I had a blockage, and PB for nearly a week, and now....well I am in love with food again. Back to fight the battle again. I have put 2kgs on cause I can nearly eat any thing and everything......arrrrrrrr rrrrrrrhhhhhhhhh. When am I gonna get this thing right!!!!!!! I am not hungry but because I am so not used to eating, well now it is a real novelity and I want to do it. I have a fill appointment on fri, which I am going to cancel, as I am off overseas and don't wanna PB my way around Ireland, lol. But I would really like to have a bit more fill but after my last experence I am a bit wary!!! Now that I have waffled alot, advice, need to get insurance for overseas, anyone used a company that will cover the band as a pre-exisitng condition???? would love to hear if anyone can help, take care ladies, Mermaid XXX |

| Hey Nina, When l find myself in a rutt, l just throw all the rules out the window and just look after myself. I find that l worry about it, it only makes thngs worse. You have the right tool in place, its just a matter of making it work for you. I was fighting my band for awhile and found that l was PBing heaps. Yuck. What works for me may not work for you. You have been through so much in the last couple of years, take it easy on yourself. Chin up luv. Things can only get better. xxx Trish |

Elle - sounds like things are still going ok for you and great to hear you so happy! I'm going along fine. Just had my varicose veins stripped so resting up at home and it's bloody killing me! | Hi Nina, Im doing ok. Not fantastic but ok. I need to get some fill put back in and have date for 14th Oct. Things are going slowly but thats ok, l really havent lost much lately myslef. Still sitting around the 86 kilo mark, 3 weeks ago l was 85.5 so l only had 500 grams to make it to the 50 kilo total lost but l have gained a little. :-(. I will get there its just a slow journey. I had a barrium dont last month, all was find. Nina dont worry until there is some thing to panic about, he might just be playing it safe. Take care Trish |

| Hi ladies, yes it sure is quiet in here! Sort of good to see tho, to me it means there are no problems with our little group :-) IF there are...well you know where to find us. Trish baby how are you doing? Sooooo proud of you :-) Ellee yes I vomited in my mouth after reading your message...lol...nah, it's so good to hear life is on track for you! You deserve it! And bloody well done with the City to Surf run, what a great achievement! I'm also having problems with my back, waiting for an operation but still haven't been properly diagnozed in what's going on. Were you told to stop weight bearing exercise? I also have arthritis in lumbar spine but the extent of it is still not known. Keep me up to date, we can compare notes... Now, I went to see my doc for a fill and looks like I haven't lost ANY weight since March. Bloody hell! Looks like another yoyo-dieting effort. And yes, I know it's not and I'll get back on track but OMFG!!! Sick of this! He's booked me in for a barium swallow and thinks I have stretched the pouch. Sigh...so there. Hope it's not, I'd never forgive myself if I need another operation to fix it because of something I caused myself. Hope all is well girls, stay in touch! Nina |

| Hiya folks Just thought I'd stop by and say hi. I've been away for a while getting my head sorted. Here's what been going on for me: I'm really proud to boast that I completed the city to surf 12km run this year. I did a personal best time of 1 hour 27minutes. It's such a huge achieivment when you considered where I was just back in april of last year (well where we all were really). I'm still involved with a sweetheart of a man who is so good to me I think he's a dream sometimes. The day of the fun run he fought his way through a crowd of thousands (about 40 thousand) to me bringing me sports drink, carbs and sugar to revive me. When we got home he'd had the spa heating and the bubbles chirping for me to fall into to ease my sore muscles. Nawww aint love grand? (pass me a bucket I wanna puke now). About a week after the fun run I was pretty sore still and I thought that was a bit weird so I trundled off to the doctor and the silly bug ger went and diagnosed me with ankylosing spondylitis. Grrrrrr. That truly did my head in because it's a debilitating and incurable arthritis type condition that leads to your spine fusing in weird positions. So you can probably see why my head was a bit topsy turvy. I'm getting on with things much more now, loving my life, my job, my man and my band. I've even lost 1 of the 3kg I gained while I was all blue funked. So what's been happening with you lot? It's been a little quiet in here I see. Come on my April bandster buddies...check in. | Thanks Di and Beth, Im have a ball, a little bit of a hurdle in the last month, but lm still loving my band. I have just over 8 kilo's to get to goal weight, l have just been to the surgeon to see about my tummy tuck, not sure it will happen quickly but it will happen. Trish |

| Go Trish Go Trish Go Trish!!!! that is fantastic - very proud of you!!!! how much more you got to go now? wouldn't be much I would think?? We've all been quiet on here haven't we? I think that we have all found lives as well as being able to catch up on facebook chat live is just great too! Certainly puts faces to names when we can see photos etc doesn't it? I'm all good. Haven't had a fill since late May/early June maybe? Been at goal for 3 months now. I move between 69 and 72kgs roughly so I'm more than happy with that. Have to get some clothes shopping done now as I really don't have much to wear for this summer! Also getting my veins stripped out of my left leg in 3 weeks which is mega exciting. Will be the first summer in about 23 years that I have worn shorts!! Hope everyone is going along fine. Well done again Trish and so very good to see that you are so proud of yourself!! Cheers Di |
