| Yep ,I get up to the grandkids as well..all part of the deal I suppose..my wife works as well so I can't use that excuse I'm afraid. We have very early starts as well..4.00am rise so not too much sleeping in.My son is 35 and daughter is 26 so I don't get up for them..HAHA. | angel, I know ,they sure can wear you out ,I am heaps better since I started on iron tablets it has made me so much less tired but still by w/end after a week of early days ,yes I like to stay in till 7 ish at least funny thing is I still always wake early,when no one wakes me , just cannot stay asleep ,lol, sound s like your place is like mine too many toys I am in process of getting a garden shed up for kids bikes etc just bought new swings slide etc for when grandkids comeover as nannas xmas gift for her house and then for older ones playstations , wii games etc I often have them a week at a time especially the older one,s (2and 4) no one ,was near to give me a break /nightout when mine were young (family is all interstate ) I believe time spent as a couple helps build a good relationship so I tell the older girls to have a night out,or in with their partners regularly I believe ,even a few hrs quality time ,really helps a relationship heaps , sorry to ramble ,Doreen |

| col do you get up to the kids/grandkids , not many guys would ,mine will only when more than 1 is sick etc ,Doreen He earns the money ,he can go to work I call this my job I have the pleasure of seeing all the wonderful things kids/grandkids do my job , includes , the good (good times and lots of fun and cuddles bad(having to be the bad guy saying no and giving timeouts ugly (tantrums and nappies etc ) but I would not change a thing ,Doreen |

| angel, I love it when the grandkids come over , I hope it did not sound like I don't ,I just like to know if the parents are going to be late or not coming home so if the kids go to sleep ,I can go to bed myself , I have not had a full nights sleep in the last 27yrs Feels like I have had kids around forever I was one of 6 hubby was youngest of 7 we had 8 ,7 surviving (1 was stillborn) I have had 15 kids through both foster care and several via emergency care and a few disabled ,w/end care kids we always have a houseful ,it would not be home to me, without kids I have also had a couple of relatives older children come stay ,a few times (one stayed 3 months )to give parents time out from teenage drama's etc, I was a bit tired last night, it has been a big 2weeks as we all holidayed ,(8 of us ) thank goodness we are home and it feels like a break now I love having the grandkids over (one (aged 4)stays tuesday to friday/sat ,each week,whilst his mum works away, I love that with grandkids ,I can spoil them , then ,I can send them home after wards so that makes it better especially if they carry on a bit ,sometimes , and yes, I do not appreciate getting up at 3.30 (especially just because the sun is up) 6am is ok , anyways ,stay healthy Doreen |

| Col, sorry I didn't mean to come across that I didn't like having them come to stay. I love having them and in fact have them heaps through the week also. I take them to their swimming lessons every Monday. and we do something most Sundays also. They have everything here bikes, a play house etc etc. I was just saying that they are full on never stop and torment each other, so its a bit nerve racking at times, but I love them to bits. I am having them for nearly a week in the new year when the parents go to Sydney for a wedding, and then plan to stay a bit longer. Also I don't enjoy great health which makes it a bit harder, but don't like to dwell on that part. |

| mel, hows the head today? I got the concrete slab laid for the shed ,so thats one down ,now gotta hope weather stays fine or cover it I am so pleased ,have waited 3 weeks so far so shed can go up this week,hope all is well,Doreen |

| Geez Scuba...I can't get enough of my grandkids staying over.I have a grandson 10 months..his sister 2; going on 22,and another grandson 6 months...they can wake up 10 times during the night when they stay with us.I couldn't care less. | Oh Doreen I know what you mean?? I had the grand kids over last weekend, while the parents ( my daughter and son in law ) went to their christmas party. they wake any time after 5 am. I was so tired and glad when I got to bed that night. Passed all that at 53. |

| Morning Doreen, Col. I know this is probably a real nothing thing, but one of the best things I have found so far is being able to bend over and tie my boot laces without having to find some where to put my foot up to do it, minor, but I notice it. Andrew |

| poor kid hope she is ok, have a great week , sounds like it is jam packed , this wend is cleaning and gardening etc and concrete for aviary and a garden shed if it ever stops raining :( the wend of 13/14 is my busy one 3 birthdays ,just before xmas , big w/end mil turns 80, big surprize party planned, daughter,19 and son,16 so big w.end , christmas shopping is all done ,just gotta put up tree etc , Ihave got ,the older 2 kids next years ,school fees to pay and uniforms to buy so ,a expensive week ahead ,and thats after paying the younger ones this week oh well at least the year will start out easily by doing it now ,I hope , stay healthy talk soon ,Doreen |

| Well Doreen... I am sitting here listening to my big boys girlfriend having a coniption about her nose peircing at the moment. She accidently let the new peircing fall out in the shower and now she is trying to get it back in with very little success... OUCH!!!!!!!!!!! I am busy, but not busy... I have a few last minute chrissy things to do and then I am done. I am so excited that I am finished so early this year. Only the cards to finish and then the decos and tree... and wholah! Done! Then I am getting together with a few of the Sydney bandits on Sunday which is so exciting... pathetically so... I love love love getting together with them. Then I have a very busy week... boating Monday evening for one of my besties birthdays... then a bit of this and that. I am looking forward to the following weekend when I will have little to do. It has been hectic the last month or so in this household. Right... I am off to bed. The nose piercing is a disaster and we have given up much to her disgust. I am too concerned she will end up with an infection so I have told her to leave it alone... poor love. She now has to go and have it redone... but has to wait a few weeks, bugger! Catch up... Mel |

| I have had my 4 yr old grandson as well as my kids for last for the last 11days ,his mum came tonight about 4.30 and he burst into tears when he had to go home ,poor little man ,he came away last week to meet my dad also as he had never met him and at 74 ,dads , not well ,I wanted dad to meet him,he has yet to meet my other girls son almost 2,who arrived here tonight at 5 whilst mum went for dinner ,he is asleep next to me on his little sofa bed ,mum must be having a goodtea ,hope she remembers to come for him ,though,lol,I want to have a sleep in ,Doreen | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

| G'day Doreen,Andrew,Mel; and all.I am the same about my band ...I love it...It has taken over my life in a way but as long as it is working I am rapped.I weighed in again today and have lost 1.8kg in the last 2 weeks so that is unreal...and I went to Cirque de Soleil in Brisbane last week and was a little bit naughty with the food; but what the heck, you still have to live ,and I came out unscathed weight wise...life is good...hope all is well with you all...4.30 start in the morning, so nigh nigh....Col | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| I am 46 ,turned it a couple of days ago, but I can tell you I feel 20yrs younger, in so many ways , I can also do ,so much more now than 20 yrs ago , I love my new life ,but never seem to have enough hours in my day now ,lifes treating me so well , and I have great health now, thanks to getting this band,lol,Doreen |
