| Hi Amber, Congrats on your date for surgery, have you logged onto the November bandits 2009 thread or the December thread, as you haven't mentioned which month. Joining the these threads you will be able to chat with other people who are going through the same feelings as yourself and you can support each other through this stage of your journey. I have been banded now for 6 months and it has been the best decision I have ever made, I so wish I had done this years ago instead of the yo yo dieting and self hatred at not achieving a permanent weight loss. So far I have lost just over 20kgs and am looking forward to seeing the other 20kgs disappear. Best of luck with your journey. Gerry |

| Hey Amber - Congrats on getting your surgery date. I found the first 4 days of Opti really hard I was hungry and cranky but it did get easier after those initial days. | hunter i use herbalife protein powder, i mix it with milk skim and strawberry quik each day its abotu 20.00 a conatiner and it last a month. hope that helps. to the other lady who cant eat or swallow, my thoughts are you may have a blockage and will have to wait for swelling to go down, can you go to ur local hospital,maybe they can take some fill out. If you feel a blockage try some apple cider vinegar or pineapple juice, mine has been milk lately works a treat.Its not recomended but a gulp of coke and a qick vomit which results from the coke(sorry) works if urgent need, my doc told me to only do this in a dire need of urgency. |

| Storminateacup - I have had a fill from another doctor who was not my surgeon and it all went fine. I live in a remote area and have to fly to Darwin to see my surgeon at $600 a pop in airfares plus hotel, car hire and doctors cost that gets a bit expensive! So my surgeon trained a GP in my town he is still learning and warns you of this prior to the fill but he got my port first go. | i am guessing that you have had the surgery and have had a fill, in that case you have too much fill, if you havent had a fill then you have had a slippage, i would not hesitate in going to your doctor to either get some fill removed or to see him about something else deb | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

| I have a general question: Have any of you had surgery, then moved to another spot and had to find a new doctor? Did you end up getting another banding surgeon or did you find a gp who does fills? Did the new doctor have any problem locating your port since they didn't install it in the first place? Thanks in advance. |

| I apreciated leannes opinion to my post earlier and i feel bad she coped flack for it, we all have views wether they be right or wrong, past or present, we are all on the same journey, we all get angry at what people say if sometng strikes a nerve, I asked the other day about how long people hd been banded and was suprised not many have been banded for years 5+ and feel they can give advice so freely to newbies without relising it is soley their own experince and opinion they dish out, we take it on board, give each persons suggestions a go, some we frown at, some we get mad at because we know it may hurt someone becos it has us, some we thank the site for cos it gets us through another day but we are all individual and each band is its own, becommin a new person can bring the good an bad and ugly out in all of us, writing words is a way of releasing stress and is not nessacerly aimed at the person who posts, please take this into consideration feel what the person may be going through as this is one of the hardest journeys life has givin us. People wether or not... leanne if youve done wrong in the past or not im not here to judge you as long as your polite to me thats all that matters in my eyes. I value everyones opinions and enjoy reading each post. stats 34yrs banded 5yrs ago 169 kilos heaviest weight now 114 (lots of ups and downs) had hiatus hernia with band also also suffers from divaticulitis(extremly painful) |

| seems to me the more responses twinkle gets the more it feeds her behaviour's of concern if noone replies she will eventurally stop, failing that a straight jacket sounds good. I havent had banter with her but by just reading her post I truly doesnt take much to know its dribble just dont reply, because your bringing yourself to her level. Trish |

| Mel There is one simple solution to STOP it all which I have repeatedly told you before but you've even said in your post that you can't do it "you would understand why we sometimes have to respond.". IGNORE ME AND LEAVE ME ALONE, YOU DON'T "HAVE TO RESPOND" to any of my posts. Stop harassing and bullying me when I post a simple post of support to other people that is not directed at you and NONE OF YOUR BUSINESS. I have said before Mel it is obvious you & Julie have had an obsession with me for years. I am concerned that you still continue to display that unhealthy obsession towards me, especially for someone in your position. I showed your posts to a friend this morning and she wanted to know what type of business it was that you owned. When I told her what it was she refused to believe it saying "she's lying". I told her I know for a fact it is true and all she could say was, "I find it hard that someone in that position representing an international company could be so petty" which I replied "I've been telling her that for years and as a result of her behaviour I no longer have respect for any Board Directors, large company owners, parliamentarians & people in high profile roles because the majority of them are no doubt just as nuts as she is!". And notice Mel I have not mentioned the name of the company so you can't go screaming you're going to sue me AGAIN and never do, I'll let you do the naming. Leanne |

She writes the most disgusting foul mouthed gutter bred posts I have ever read in my life yet shadesailsundies wants me banned!!! If I were you Mel I'd be too ashamed to be associated with the foul mouth Julie but I guess it takes one to know one. I've been trying to get Julie & you banned for years for your disgusting, slanderous/libellous & privacy invading posts. After 3 years of trying I gave up last year & don't waste my time with Yahoo any more because they simply send emails to say they are doing something about it but never do. I do click on Report Abuse sometimes but that's usually a waste of time too, when was the last time you saw a post deleted? That's why I thought it was so funny that shadesailundies thought she could get me banned when you & Julie still continue on with your vulgarities. | It is very possible. Julie is absolutely the ultimate bandit in my opinion. To now be under 60 kilos is just amazing... She is my hero... and has always been a wonderful inspiration to many newbies starting out. She is proof that with hard work, it can be done. Mel |

| wow.hannah 100kgs is fantastic. i was 158 kg when i started opti at end of july. my op was 11/8 and i am now 132kgs!!! i should be about 80 when i finish. now i know its possible.. i am going to use you as my role model..... kepp in touch karen.xxxx |
