| I am STARVING HELP!! I had my first fill a week ago and have been starving ever since - can't believe it - i wasn't this hungry before the fill - ARGH!!!! Now i have to wait 3wks to go back to the surgeon... How is everyone else going? I hope are all doing well xx Nicollette xx |

| Well i've had my 2nd band inserted and home from hospital.Feel remarkable well.Nearly no pain at all. Shoulder pain was uncomfortable the first night but thats all. I truely hope this gives me a huge incentive to eat well and not take the easy way and eat the wrong foods that go down well. Dasha |

| Hi Lia, I am doing great-still a bit of a stitch-like pain on the left hand side. Overall, a loss of 8kg so far, which I'm happy with, as I started at 104.4 pre-Opti, so I knew I wouldn't lose 10kg on Opti.Lost 4.7 on Opti, 4.3 post-Op, so I'm chuffed. How long do you have to do the Opti-Gross for? |

| Colleen, Sorry i didn't get on the computer yesterday. Some ports, like any mechanical device are just weak and are faulty from day one. Some get punctured by doctors during fills. There are any number of things that can cause a port to leak. You are best off just getting your doc to check. I know I waited 8 months for restriction with a leaky port and if it can be diagnosed and fixed sooner than that then all the better. pyretta |

In strange places, too. Above my knees and my lower belly. Still no skin, though. Nothin' but flab, baby. lol. Again, I shouldn't say too loudly that I don't have loose skin. | You should be so proud!! I hit a plateau a few weeks ago, about 3 or 4 weeks of see-sawing up and down, no real loss. It was so disheartening. I went and had a fill, and things are moving along nicely for me again. Yes, don't say it too loudly, you may jinx yourself!! hehe. I too will be doing a dance in 500grams time, and it won't be so wobbly, hehehe, sorry tmi. again, well done. Cheers, Renae |

| I did a dance next to my scale when I finally went under 100. And now that I'm nearly 90, it is freaky-exciting! lol. Can't believe I've made it this far. I'm still waiting for a plateau. Haven't had one yet....I probably shouldn't exclaim that too loudly. Cat |

| hi ingrid, im scheduled for surgery on the 8th of july. have to have everything sorted by then. am seeing my haematologist tomorrow to make sure im not missing anything. i think hearing from him that all will be okay will calm my nerves a bit. hopefully it will all work out! i think im anxious about needing to reassure doctors/nurses of the appropriate care for someone on anticoagulants! i know they know, but for some reason i feel i need to remind them! i think the fact that im a nurse doesnt help! know too much for my own good! lol. if you dont mind me asking, how is your progress going? how long ago were you banded? regards, Lia | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

| Hi Everyone, I have a somewhat strange question but I thought this may be the place to ask it...I am myself a bandit (and love it), but my question relates to health cover. My Mum is having sleeve gastrectomy on Friday, and I was wondering if anyone knows whether either it or banding is covered under the NIB Bodyguard policy?
