Definately call the National Breathfeeding Association they have people everywhere that can help even come to your house. Also my suggestion is call Karitane or see your Pediatrician who can get you into Karitane (mothercraft accommodation in Sydney) they are wonderful. I have been there 3 times with my son (major sleeping issues) and they are the best. If you are in another state def speak to the baby clinic near you or your doc. Get the help you need dont be affraid to ask people are willing to help as the first few months are so important for bubs health. Good luck!

Re:breast refusal Reply to this message
Hi There
My little boy was breast fed for the first 4 - 6 weeks, but was losing weight and was unsettled alot. I was told to do both breast and bottle feeds which ended up with me having mastitis! After a few tests from our peadiatrician, it turned out that Mitch was having trouble with the lactose in my milk. I had to stop feeding and put him on the bottle and he is a different baby! Sleeping & putting on weight. I was a bit dissapointed that I couldn't feed him myself but now I can how happy my litte man can be with the right milk for him. Don't be hard on yourself if you have to stop feeding him - you many find your little one much happier..
