I wish I had seen this message before I signed up at Cannington WA last week. I paid my money and was given a diet and now I have rung and they say the clinic is "closed until further notice".

Re:sure slim Reply to this message
Hi! I am into my first day and I felt very tired today when I was doing my regular 45 minutes walk. It's normal to feel that way during your first week but it will pass by and your body will become adjusted in a week or so. Have a bottle of water with you, drink herbal tea or coffee. I did this programe in 2006 and since then maintained my weight pretty much. I have to loose 3.5 kilos to get back to my normal weight. I will as I know that it works. I lost 8kg in 2.5 months, aerobics 3 times a week.
Good luck!

Re:sure slim Reply to this message
Hi - I've just started back on this program. I did it 4 years ago with great results but now need to go back on it and I know that the results will be well worth it. This time I'm going to do it on my own. Has anybody got any good suggestions as to how to eat the seeds - I can't recall how I ate them last time. Also, when I last did the program, the East Slim sauces and spices weren't available - how are people finding them and have they got any suggestions as to what qty/ weight, frequency etc is acceptable on the Quick Loss Program.

As of 12 January 2009, the SureSlim Australian franchise organization has not had a Franchisor overseeing the SureSlim franchise operations within Australia. Petro Tulloch and Calvin Tulloch currently act as caretakers under SureSlim Holdings Pty Ltd as authorised by SureSlim International Limited of which Petro Tulloch and Calvin Tulloch are 100% shareholders.

On the 12 January 2009, SureSlim Australian franchisees received a letter from the then SureSlim Franchisor SureSlim 2006, Director Geoff Adams who use to be the New Zealand Franchisor.

SureSlim Holdings Pty ltd is acting as the provider of SureSlim programs to distributors being SureSlim franchisees and they are only providing limited services to franchisees at a royalty fee of 10% opposed to the previous royalty fee of approximately 27%.

For further comment about the ongoing closure of SureSlim Australian franchise clinics contact the current SureSlim Australian caretaker SureSlim Holdings Pty Ltd directors, Petro Tulloch and Calvin Tulloch. For further information visit: http://sureslies.wordpress.com

Re:sure slim Reply to this message
i am male, 26 yrs old and was 96 kilos when i started last sunday 14th of June my target is to get down to 80 kilos, i have been on this diet for 7 days now and just weighed myself this morning the 22nd of june and i am down to 92 kilos. lost 4 kilos in 7 days. have had no side effects, no headaches, really enjoyed all the meals, the seeds arent to bad when mixed in with the rolled oats or a fresh salad, have bought all the ingrediants, spices, oils etc from my locals coles and have done no excercise at all, (i normally exercise 4 times a week but just wanted to see if this would work without exercise and it did) am now starting my second week and will inculde exercise this week to see how it goes. Am very happy so far with how things are going.

Re:sure slim Reply to this message
Why cant people just eat simple light meals of veggies and chicken and walk around the block for a half hour a day?

Its not rocket science, just a bit of hard work.

And before I hear the cries of "you wouldnt understand" my 35kg weight loss and maintained for over two years tells me those looking for sure slim and the like are looking for a simple solution.

You dont need a diet, you need a lifestyle change. This is fact.

**Please do not go to sureslim or give them any money**
Clinics are closing all over the place and shutting with no warning, you turn up for your appointment and nothing is there, do not waste your money.

Re:sure slim Reply to this message
Hi All,

Well it happened, Maroubra NSW has closed. After guaranteeing that they will not close and taking our money in advance, they closed. They knew I took a loan to pay the $800 odd dollars as my husband was retrenched but I was so desperate to lose weight that I chose to listen to them rather than my inner voice. People on here told me about the bankruptcy claims, but i ignored it and gave my faith to those who told me they are in it for the long haul as the offices are all franchises and work individually and not owned or run by head office. I am not even angry, just sad that there are so many unscrupulous people in this world. There are barely any places left open in NSW, I guess now they can use the recession excuse.

Many people complain of not having enough to eat. Try this:
For breakfast, instead of linseed (sprinkled over food - which I dislike) I take the flax meal mixed in water to a paste and have with a glass of water. This is followed by a chopped apple or other bulky fruit eg pawpaw or rockmelon along with my yoghurt allowance. The flax in the morning makes the 5hrs wait until lunch much easier. I have porridge twice a week mixed with my apple allowance I have cooked in the microwave.
At lunch as well as the protein and vegetables, I have the other seeds and add the Cruskits spread with Tahini (better than the straight Sesame seeds).
Dinner is the usual meal followed by my other fruit allowance.
I found that by opting for the bulkier fruit at the early stages of the diet it is easier to stay on it and not feel as though I'm dieting.
Hang in there. You'll be happy with the results.

Re:sure slim Reply to this message
this is my second go at SS, i lost 16kgs the first time in three months, then i fell pregnant with my daughter and put on 26 kilos. I still have 14 kilos to lose. Yes the first week is VERY tough and you do feel like going mad , but it does get better. Stay focused and drinks lots of water or herbal teas when you get hungry. If you can,go for a walk or try and do something to keep your mind of the fact that you are on a 'diet'. I could do all day without eating but as soon as i start a diet my mind does funny things!! Best of luck..

Hello ss'ers... i'm back on the program this Wednesday. I know it is going to be difficult but i also know that it works. It is only hard in the first week or so and after that you are feeling so well that you don;t want to ruin it. This message board is great because it offers people support and encouragment. Is anybody interested in a 21 day challange ? We could keep in contact during this time with hints, support etc etc. Wish me luck...

Stringbean_in

I thought I'd let you know that since you told me of the 5pm rule with the breads I now ensure my seed consumption is prior to 5pm also. It may be me, but I feel that I am losing weight faster with the new routine. Thanks a bunch.

By the way, I was under the impression that Sureslim recommended that you DON'T have an exercise routine during the program. I have been through my program but can't find where it is stated.

Re:sure slim Reply to this message
I have heard about Cohen's Lifestyle, and i know a few people who have done this program and acheived fabulous results. Cohen's Lifestlye is pretty similar to Sureslim but a bit more rigorous (plus you don't have to nibble seeds & nuts), if you are a commited person & wanna weight off for good, i would recommend this program ...browse on the internet

Re:sure slim Reply to this message
Thanks Stringbean. I was unaware of the 5.00pm rule. I'm not into Mountain Bread and was becoming rather tired of Cruskits. Good luck with the latest foray into Healthy Eating. I must say I'm having trouble getting back into the swing of the Quick Loss Prog.
