Hello everyone, does anybody know whether you can split shakes into 2, eg make 3 shakes into 6 shakes and have them at intervals throughout day ?

Re:Optifast Reply to this message
douglas,

It usually takes between 3 and 5 days for ketosis to kick in. Make sure you are also drinking a minimum of 2 litres of water a day as that helps speed up the process as well.

Best of luck with it. If you feel you have to have something stick with low carb veggies or protein.

Re:Optifast Reply to this message
I just had a banana celebrity slim shake for lunch and OMG I am soo in love... Although reading the label, each meal has 14.9g (or there abouts) of carbs... so, no ketosis for me... but still going to the gym :D

Re:Optifast Reply to this message
hiya Bel, I have the same troubles... optifast is just too strict for me and my tastebuds, the flavours are grating on me :(

I'm thinking of buying the celebrity slim 'plateau breaker' and see if it helps at all... it'd be nice to have some new flavours, I'm pretty skeptical about it though... and it's damn expensive!

Re:Optifast Reply to this message
hi belinda, sorry to hear you put back on weight.i started another thred ( meal replacement shakers) i also found the opti just too strict and was falling. i am now on fatblaster and the weight is falling off and im not falling off the wagon anymore. i am having a shake for breakky, a banana mid morn, shake for lunch, diet yogurt mid arvo and a diet soup with vegies in it or a low fat, low carb dinner. i also have 2 corn thins after dinner. i am so happy its all worked out for me now and im not hungery.

Re:Optifast Reply to this message
Hi..Good 2 see your all doing good & congrats on your weightloss too. Welldone. You have all probably already guessed but i have fallen hard..ive been on and off..but mainly just eating junk..I have gained 1.3kg & I am feeling really down about it all. I'm all to blame...i know.

Last night i was thinking..should i stay on it ? should i try something different..then i thought i should just stick with the optifast and maybe do the transition..2 shakes and a meal ? might be easier.. what do you guys think ? What are you all doing per day ?

Re:Optifast Reply to this message
hey guys, day 5 now.. am on the whole 2 shakes and 1 meal. Scales say 72.5. where as last tues they said, 74.8. So a day for me consists of a shake for breakfast, a shake for lunch, then mid afternoon i have an apple or two.. then a light meal, consisting of 200-300 calories.. thats it. AND I CHEW A LOT OF SUGAR FREE GUM :-) keeps me sane. I also walk 30-60 minutes a day

Re:Optifast Reply to this message
i switched over from the yukky optislim shakes to fatblaster shakes, i get them online from epharmacy for only $27 a box and its so easy to order and you can pay at the post office just using a number they give you. i just want to say that fatblaster has 50 calories more when made up than optislim ( you make fatblaster with skim milk )but man the taste its sooooo good and they are thick, i just dont feel hungry on them at all. i would recomend anyone to try them. dont buy them in the shops though as they cost a lot. get them from epharmacy.com.au
